I picked up their Chantilly cream cake this last visit, just to try. They sell it in small, medium and large. It comes with fresh berries on it. The larger ones might have more of the cream inside. There's a huge selection of produce here and a lot of unique items. Does your local grocery store have whole jackfruits? I doubt it, but they had two during my recent visit. No price nearby so I can't say what they cost. Still, it seemed like a fun option. I love rainier cherries and they had some organic ones. Again though, no price by them. I had to ask someone just to make sure they aren't ridiculously high. I ended up buying a bag - love them! They sell plenty of prepared foods, have a salad bar, an olive bar and more. It's a fun store to check out for sure. Having Prime gets you discounts too!

The entrance is actually nicer than Closter and Paramus location. I found the produce section excellent, so many quality fresh fruits and vegetables. The seafood and butcher sections were also good. Bakery section had breads, cakes, confectionery items, cheese and more. The frozen/dairy section was separated through a passageway. The store lacked in hot food section, as there wasn't as many options as other two locations. But they had the Amazon return counter. There was a small dining area too. A lot of the products had sale and deals for Prime members. We used the self checkout lane to quickly buy our stuff. Many staff members were available throughout the store, assisting customers in different department counters and at checkout lanes.

I didn't have to go grocery shopping and I definitely wasn't prepared for what was about to come (as they're officially my new favorite supermarket). A supermarket that doesn't carry plastic water bottles and proudly has a sign that they haven't been selling plastic still bottle since 2011 in efforts to be able to reduce plastic, is just something we need to see more of. Plus, everything's organic! The cool part is you can bring your huge jugs of water and refill them in the entrance with alkaline water. There were also a ton of produce boxes available for you to shop in and save bags. I totally missed this and came super unprepared without even my own bags. Loved the weighed grain section where you can pay less for certain ones by buying them in bulk. You can even bring your own refillable containers for dish soap, body soap, dishwasher soap, Castile soap, laundry detergent, face wash, body lotion and more. If you don't have your own containers you can buy their glass ones and refill those. They even have a recycle center as soon as you walk in. You can donate eye glasses, batteries, shoes, natural cork and even compost! Their purpose is simple: to protect and restore the environment. This is my language. I LOVE this supermarket, only thing I wish it wasn't 1 hour away.

MOM's has plenty of parking and shares the building with a Family Dollar. To find the pinball machines, which have their own area, head towards to the checkouts on the left. During my visit, they had over a dozen pinball machines from various eras, and all were in excellent playing condition. Machines were only 50 cents per play with a change machine provided. I found the two most interesting machines to be Riverboat Gambler and Taxi, which I am not sure I've seen before. There were also several arcade cabinets. If you like playing reasonably priced pinball machines in excellent condition, MOM's is absolutely worth the stop.

The games were Houdini, Riverboat Gambler, and I forget the third one. One of the games the ball got struck and I had to wiggle the ball to get it free however the machine registered it as a tilt and went dark and shut down as a result. I guess in any arcade you will have some broken machines, but they literally ask the participant playing the game to scan a QR code on their phone to alert them of any broken machines. For those of you that are not in the know, you are never supposed to scan random QR codes as people can hack into your phones. Yes, you probably won't be hacked as the QR code is inside the pinball glass but WTF. On another sour note, I was totally out of coffee at my home and was going to grind some coffee beans as all their coffees need to be grind due to them not offering any already ground coffee. Welp, after seeing the unkempt machine with guck on it I chose to leave empty handed. Now for the good, I did not notice the first time I was here, but they even have already poured water for you in a plastic cup that you can help yourself too. This is in addition to free coffee and tea you can have while here. I haven't given up on this place just a bit disappointed on my second trip.

There are a few differences between the two stores, New Morning Market offers some more healthy options, such as probiotic items like sauerkraut and yogurt drinks. I found the prices to be comparable to Whole Foods, and some of the Primal salad dressings & BBQ sauces happened to be on sale, so I saved a couple of bucks on each one I purchased. Also, I picked up a High Heat Olive oil "On Special" as soon I had walked through the front door, that was a great deal too. I also noticed they have a fairly decent stock of supplements too. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I will be back occasionally to pick up speciality items in my diet.
