Finally a concha without lard! Literally one of the best I've tasted. We got chocolate, blue corn, and churro. You have to try the blue corn, it is a fan favorite for a reason. Vegetarian friendly!

Visited on a Saturday around 10:30am, bakery was pretty quite no other guest so headed to the pastry case and was able to order quickly. Bakery had a variety of about 6 concha flavors to choose from. Food: Guava Concha - served warm, great bread texture, nice and airy with a pleasant soft pillowy texture, topped with a crisp sweet cracked cookie top, flavor of the guava is quite subtle with a hint of acidity and a touch of guava note wish flavor was a little stronger, this is a seasonal item if you do want to try Service was great, really warm and friendly with great recommendations and suggestions. Bakery is between two brick apartment buildings, more of a grab and go spot, space is neat and tidy with a cute minimalist design but not much seating in the space Overall enjoyed Florecita Panaderia, definitely one of the best conchas I've had, texture of the bread is really good, on the pricey end but you definitely taste the quality. Worth a try if you enjoy Mexican baked goods.

Most incredible conchas I've ever had. I've been telling all my friends about it for the last two weeks! The employee recommended his favorites and we ended up getting the: Blue corn 5/5 Churro 4.75/5 Chocolate 4.75/5 Next time we will try the remaining 3 flavors.

I love Florecita! These are the best conchas I've ever had, hands down. I've taken my swegra here, that's how you know it's good. She loved it. The texture is insane it's bready but soft and pillowy idk how to describe it and flavor wise they really nail the flavors. The blue corn really tastes like blue corn. Everything isn't too sweet and just very beautifully balanced. I appreciate that the conchas are displayed in an enclosed case as well!

I'm so happy I discovered Florecita! This cozy little panadería in the Mission is an absolute gem. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly baked breads and pastries. I tried a few conchas (mango + blue corn + pumpkin) and they are sooo good - perfectly soft with just the perfect crunchy topping. It tasted homemade - with the best possible ingredients. You can tell everything is made with care and attention to tradition. The vibe is relaxed, the people are friendly, and prices are a bit on the higher side (compared to the bakeries on 24th street), but you get what you paid for - high quality conchas. Florecita delivers major comfort and flavor. I already know I'll be back... probably this weekend :)

You know a place is good when they only make a single thing and if you're looking for unique and amazing conchas (pan dulce), this is the place to check out! If you're looking for something that isn't too sweet, you'll want to check it out! Keep in mind that they are especially a bun, which means it is dense but soft, with a crumbly flavored top. Many people compare it to the Asian pineapple bun. These are great for breakfast with coffee or an afternoon snack without spiking your blood sugar levels like a donut or cookie! $5 each or get a box of 6 (multi flavors) for the price of 5. Oh also, love their story of starting this business so stop by!

These might be the softest, fluffiest concha's I've ever had. Blue corn is my favorite. They're a different texture than the usual panadarias and more expensive but they are exceptionally good and their pan de muerto are quite possibly the best in the bay (so far at least). Really lovely, with a delicate orange flavor.

Stumbled upon this bakery selling Pan Dulce! First time trying these and they were so delicious especially fresh. It reminds me of the Chinese pineapple bun with a crispy top. However, these Pan Dulces are so innovative with their unique flavors. 10/10! Guava and Blue Corn were our favorites!

Came here from a recommendation by a friend! Their hours are pretty limited but so worth it. There's a couple of tables outside to sit at plus a little bit of seating inside as well. The space is very empty and open due to the high ceilings but has nice, colorful decor. The owner was super nice and happy to give recommendations! Per the owner's recommendation, I got a Blue Corn Concha and a Guava Concha. I love how they look -- they're so perfect round, and I love how each flavor has its own vibrant color! Biting into one of these conchas, you can really tell how they're a labor of love. They are so unbelievably soft (even after a few hours!), and it was so warm and fresh. These were definitely the best conchas I've ever had. The Guava Concha really actually tasted like guava, not just sugar! The Blue Corn Concha was the standout though. It's a more soft and subtle flavor, but the grittiness and roasted flavor of the corn comes through, and I've never had anything like it. You have to check them out!

I recently visited Florecita Panadería in San Francisco's Mission District and had a great experience. It was my first time trying a concha, and I was pleasantly surprised by how similar it tasted to a Chinese pineapple bun. The smell of the freshly baked goods drew me into the bakery, and I quickly became a fan. If you enjoy pineapple buns, this is definitely worth checking out. The concha has a soft, cake-like texture with a crumbly, cookie-style topping. The topping is slightly milder than that of a pineapple bun, which pairs well with a hot cup of coffee. With Lunar New Year coming up, I'm planning to purchase a few dozen for our family gathering. This place is a bit out of the way for me, but I promise it is worth it.

I had such a great experience at Florecita Panadería! Their conchas are on another level--I tried every single one: Chocolate, Churro, Blue Corn, Matcha, Guava, and Mango, and they were all amazing in their own way. Each concha was soft, fluffy, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were unique but still had that classic concha texture and taste that I love. My favorite had to be.....all of them, to be honest! I did ask if they planned to expand into other pastries, but they mentioned that their focus right now is perfecting their concha recipe and making it the best it can be. Well, I think they've definitely achieved that! Now I can't wait to see what other delicious pastries they come up with in the future. Beyond the conchas, the bakery itself is super inviting, and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can tell they put a lot of love into their pastries. If you're a concha lover, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!

I'm coming all the way from Gilroy every time I like to invite to some or like today I bought for my family , because for me is the best concha at all . I couldn't take a picture of the before because we couldn't wait for any pictures!!! Thank you florecita for showing us part of your culture! Good luck

The conchas at Florecita are simply the best. I first tried them at West Coast Craft and am so happy to live so close to their physical location; I often wish that they were more open on more weekdays so I could get them more frequently. I really like their seasonal flavors! I love that you can actually taste the flavor pretty strongly. The conchas themselves are SO incredibly well done. They are perfectly fluffy, sweet, soft, airy, and delicous--it's hard to have self-control when eating them. I also think the owners are such incredibly friendly and kind people. I think the only downside is that they are definitely pricier than what you can get from other panaderias (which offer conchas for $1), but I don't mind supporting such a lovely small business. Definitely try them out!

There are three Arsicault locations, but this is the original, opened in 2015 (or so the internet told me). Our hotel was closer to the Tenderloin location, but that area wad sketchy. The line was 15 people long, but moved incredibly fast. The menu is on the front glass window (no prices,). Once you enter, you can see the pastries and corresponding prices. Unfortunately, you enter when it's your time to order, pay grab your food, and then leave. We went twice and our whole interaction was less than a minute per trip!!! We had many things and there were only winners. If you don't want to spend $60 like we did, here are my thoughts on what we tried. Croissants: the almond was the winner by a long shot!!! I liked the ham and cheese, but only if you need a savory option. Chocolate chip croissants are not my favorite, but my daughter ate the whole thing and loved it. The almond chocolate chip had too much going on and it's the only one I would not recommend. The kouign amann is delicious and worth getting. The morning bun is good, but only if you want a bit of citrus flavor (orange zest). The monkey bread was good, but after all the other pastries, it didn't stand out. It seemed similar to the kouign amman in retrospect and I'd need another side by side to really sort out the differences. The chocolate chip cookie is delicious, but beware that it is salted. My son wasn't a fan, but the rest of us liked it. A bonus if you go the Richmond Ariscault -- it's next door to Breck's, a great coffee shop that has seating. Looks like most Arsicault customers grabbed their pastries and went next door to get coffee and sit down. We followed suit and it was a perfect pairing. After our pastries, we went to Golden Gate to walk off the meal. An epic morning!!!

The storefront is small so you pretty much walk inside to tell them what you want, pay, and get your pastries to go. No place to sit; only drip coffee offered. The croissants are crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside. One of the best croissants in San Francisco. They don't offer a huge selection of pastries but the more popular ones are the croissants and Kouign Amann. With the croissants they offer a number of variations including almond, chocolate, ham and cheese. They also sell scones but I would stick with the croissants in my opinion.

This most recent time I arrived just before opening and waited about an hour and a half for my delicious strawberry roll. If I had got there earlier, I think the line would've been only about 20 to 30 minutes so if you are an early bird they allow you to line up anytime after around 7:45 AM. I listened to a new album and great podcast while I was in line, it can be a great solo activity and makes the wait go by fast! I also enjoy talking to the people around me about whether or not they've been here yet and hearing what their favorite items are or what they're excited to try. This time I met someone who had brought their family member all the way from Mexico to try! I think a lot of the people who are frustrated don't understand that there will be a wait. The owner has explained on her Instagram that the reason they cannot simply bake more is because they are not baking pastries that are designed for bulk creation. They are all handmade small batch goods that simply cannot be made in large quantities. I think when you go into it understanding that it's going to be an experience that more often than not comes with a wait time it is much more enjoyable. I did see some teenagers show up with their parents who immediately seemed like they did not want to get in the line. The thing about lines though is that typically if there is a consistent line somewhere that means it's good! I really admire the parents that did wait with their kids because it is worth it! We all need a little bit of whimsy in our life and these goods and the wonderfully magical people who work there make my day a little brighter each time I go in. The shop itself is decorated so well, you can tell that the cookbooks and tools are not just props on the shelf. They are actually used. There are also a couple glittery surprises that I will leave for you to find out... I cannot recommend this little bakery enough. If you are in San Francisco, even just for a day, add it to the top of your list and start your day with a treat you won't be able to find anywhere else.

The namesake Pistachio Cardamom croissant was excellent for a filled croissant. It had excellent layers and the cream was just enough to add a lusciousness to each bite that wasn't too heavy. The madame lorraine was my other favorite. It was meaty and rich with the soft baked runny yolk and the light touch of rosemary was just enough to accentuate the bite. The not as good...a standard butter croissant. Maybe we got a dud but there was a serious lack of layers in ours and it wasn't as crisp or as buttery as I like. The elote corn croquiche filling was also quite salty which was a shame because the pastry layer was pretty good. I still have two more pastries to try but given the weight and the mixed bag, I definitely expected a lot more from Butter & Crumble. Pro tip: get a butter croissant at Arsicault, walk to B Patisserie and get a kouign amann. You'll have both before the line moves here.

My husband got in line while I waited outside. It's on the first floor of the Japan Center Malls and easy to find in the corner. While the line was long it moved quickly and we ended up ordering two drinks and a few pastries. We had the drinks right away and I enjoyed their honeycomb toffee latte ($8.25) while my husband ordered a flavored lemonade. The Honeycomb latte wasn't overly sweet and the honeycomb on top was a nice treat. The honeycomb itself was sweet and crunchy and you can either pick it out and eat it or stir it into your drink and let it melt. The lemonade my husband ordered was on the sweeter side, but was super refreshing for summer. If you like sweet you'll like this- if you prefer less sweet or tart it may not be for you. We also brought home a few of their pastries. All of them were fresh and well made. The basque cheesecake was creamy and satisfying without being overly sweet. The chocolate chip cookie had dark chocolate and was really rich and satisfying. The last pastry I forget the name of but it was like a cinnamon roll but with an orange glaze and some cocoa powder, this one was also delicious and not overly sweet.
