I waited only a moment before the very nice gal behind the counter helped me choose a sandwich, which she then made herself. It was a bacon & cheese sandwich on steak roll; grilled, and it was more delicious than the average BLT! My wife joined me and ordered ice cream, which was rich and decadent. Prices are more than reasonable, and we were really happy we stopped in. He was flirting with the two women before my fiancé and I, and that caused him to take an unreasonable amount of time to take their order. After he gave the girls their receipts, and they sat at a table, he continued to talk to them. He saw how my fiancé and I were waiting in line too, so that really irked me. Finally, after what felt like 5 minutes, he turned to us to take our order and made a few mistakes. The strawberry crepe I've ordered in the past has always been $6.95. He charged me $7.95 because I asked for cream cheese that has always been for free in the past. Then, it's also $2 for every extra scoop of ice cream. It used to be $1, so their prices went up. The crepes are still delicious; however, the service and prices are displeasing. My fiancé only go to this place because it's one of the only shops that sell crepes in Bakersfield on my side of town. Old Review: My boyfriend and I visit for the crepes. We always order a strawberry crepe with cream cheese and a scoop of icecream on the side. Our crepes are always hot when we get them. Flores is open till nine pm on Fridays, we get there at 8:15pm for a crepe. The employees are already cleaning up, the ice cream is put away and when we ask for a crepe they state that they cannot make anymore because they cleaned the machine that makes them and that the store owner will scold them for leaving after nine pm. The place was not busy, I saw their machine and it would not take me forty five minutes to clean it. As we were leaving more customers were coming in and as I was leaving the parking lot I can see in my rear view mirror and the same people also left. They probably wanted a crepe or some ice cream on a warm summer night. My advice, go to Flores before eight pm because it looks like they close at that time. read more
