This restaurant embodies the word "Florida cracker". I pleasantly enjoyed my experience. The food was fantastic. I ordered the chipped pork with green beans and coleslaw, and you can't forget the sweet tea. Cherish, one of the employees, was so kind and thoughtful during our visit. The homemade sauces along the wall were great. They also have an outside area where they hold events, along with a gift shop. 10/10!

Quick stop in Brooksville to check out Florida Cracker. Full disclosure, I'm not an eat spicy anything kinda woman. Germany just doesn't have spicy in their culture, maybe curry wurst? I regress. The kids wanted fish, none at this location. Then they wanted cheeseburgers, again not at this location. So they settled for chicken tenders and a side of fries. Two out of three enjoyed the tenders and fries. The third did not, "tastes like pickles," but did enjoy the fries. I originally was going to try the chicken sandwich but I could only eat it unbreaded (as the breading is spicy), so I opted to pass (I don't want a plain piece of chicken either). I then decided on Mac n Cheese Boat and it was delicious, perfect southern Mac! We enjoyed the lemonades and free refills and the kids played happily outdoors on the nice playground. Service was friendly and brought the food out to us. The outside is well maintained and I enjoyed the little cook shack mercantile. Seeing other customers around us and they all appeared happy with their food. Sorry I couldn't provide more details on the Southern food, like I said, spice ain't my thang.

Not gonna lie, the name Florida Cracker Cook Shack threw me off and I almost left. But glad I stayed and learned a "cracker" is an early white settler to the area mainly farmers and ranchers. This place is casual with big picnic tables inside and out, so you can stay or take food to go. Fans outside to cool off while eating. There are even alcohol options. Outside area is large and spacious with fenced areas for kids to run around. Food was good. Kinda bland, but nothing some salt or hot sauce can't fix. I enjoyed the fried pickles best. Batter not too thick, different spice levels (for a price), and a larger serving. I note my price did not match what was listed on the advertisement board. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Good portions, affordable, and cooked well. Service was quick and people were friendly. I would definitely go again if in the area. They close early so note the time.

We had a great meal! Chopped Pork and Brisket platters were great! We shared sides French fries, baked beans, potato salad Mac n cheese and we got an extra side of Cole slaw. Everything was great! Staff were friendly and helped pick a few of the best sides. I've never had potato salad that look like that but it was probably one of the best I've had. Can't wait to come back and bring the grandkids to play!

We don't typically eat a lot of fried chicken tenders, but we are glad we made an exception for a quick bite here. These were truly the best chicken tenders we ever had. Very tasty and we loved the sauce selection. The Garden Patch salad with turkey and the smoked turkey plate were very good as well. The awesome service was icing on the cake. Definitely worth returning for.

We ordered the fried green tomatoes. I only wish they were sliced just a tad thinner, but they were tasty nonetheless. My friend got the pork and she had enough for 2 meals. I got the grouper and it was a smaller portion but a perfect size and very good as well. The standout as the Reese's cookie. It was big and crispy on the edges and nice and soft everywhere else. We shared this and the price was great at $4. In a world filled with crumbl at $5+, this cookie blew them away. I really enjoyed this meal.

When finally seated the last slices of cake had gone. The owner assured me there was one more cake being delivered in about 15 minutes, so I sat with my family and we ordered a light lunch. I ordered the Smoked Gouda Cheese Wedges...where has this been all my life?!?! Creamy rich with orange blossom honey, and applewood smoked bacon just a killer combination! The caked showed, and it did not disappoint decadent and sweet, yet balanced by the tangerine citrus. The reason I came didn't disappoint and my family loved it as well. It was truly an awesome cake, so thank you so much! The service was great as well, very attentive on such a busy day, Chantel made it seem we were a priority. The feeling at the Green Door is inviting, while offering sense of exclusive indulgence without being over the top. Thank you everyone who made our first experience one to remember. We will be back!

I love that I could also choose between regular or cauliflower rice. I selected cauliflower (so I could save calories for creme brûlée). I admit that I am a bit of a creme brûlée. It's my favorite! This one was good but I prefer a more solid crunch top. This was patchy. (I already told you that this is a ME thing) - most people would love this. It tasted really good. We were seated at the bar and the host shared a few seasonal options- super helpful off the bat. Then things slowed WAY down. It took a lot of time to place our drink orders. The we ordered two apps that we were sharing- the burrata and grilled peach salad (a seasonal option the host talked about) and the Brussel sprouts. We had time to chat with each other until the sprouts came out- delicious! The salad didn't come. Another round of drinks didn't happen. Waters didn't come. The salad arrived more than 45 minutes after ordering and the server said "sorry that took awhile"- it was delicious. And...that was it. No one checked if we needed anything while we dined, just kept walking in front of us in the bar- I requested our check and we paid. Based on this experience, try them out if your goal is to get some good food with minimal service and you have patience and time to spare. Honestly, the food was good enough that I will give them another try, I'll see if this was just an off night or not.

This deli is in an old strip mall on the west side of Brooksville and can't be missed with the big blue awning outside. Plenty of parking and a few tables inside and outside; take out was extremely popular. Three of us ordered the Cuban and one of us got the Italian sub. Waiting for our orders, we grabbed cold drinks from the cooler and bags of chips. Hot and seasoned well, the Cuban did not disappoint! The bread was toasted perfectly while the cheese was melted enough that the pickles were still chilled. Decent sized sandwich and the pork was definitely cooked with love; it was the star in the Cuban. The Italian sub was equally good even though they were out of the one meat but quickly subbed with pepperoni. The gals in the deli were friendly, efficient and busy! Not only were they preparing our lunch, many to-go orders were being made in between. This definitely is a local favorite and now ours when we pass thru again.
