I've been to Florio's in its former location and last night was my first at its new Versailles location. Beautiful restaurant, ample outdoor seating and indoor design is beautiful. Lighting, wood, seating, wall design. Also there is a playground right next to the outdoor patio... bring the kiddos! Our server Maggie knew the other couple we were with from their previous time dining, so the welcome back greetings were friendly and genuine! Florios is a steakhouse mostly, BUT.... No one at our table ordered a steak! The grilled artichokes are the best I have ever had! Truffle sauce or the cheese, which is a light blue cheese flavored sauce. Neither sauce overpowered the delicious grilled artichoke hearts. Mixed green salad with a balsamic was delicious especially with the pepita topping and flavor in the dressing. Fresh and delicious. Shared the chicken Milanese parm style. Two large panko style pounded breasts with a choice of a side. We chose the green beans that were perfectly cooked with a sprinkle of cheese and a good portion of roasted almonds. Incredibly delicious. Too stuffed for any dessert. Service was very attentive. 100% will remember this delicious dinner and wonderful night at Florios. read more

The portions are quite large and the food is tasty although the jam on the provoleta was a bit much and the flan was more like a mousse/custard and not so good. The service was fantastic from start to finish and the restaurant itself is very beautiful. There's an area for kids to play outside as well. read more

Never easy, I know, to move and improve. The service was fantastic and genuine, the pleasure converse with the manager, the owner and the kitchen team. Charming, sweet little restaurant in town. Service was excellent, chimichurri with bread was given at the start. Bread was fresh, chimichurri was packed with flavor. We ordered the pepperoni with mushroom pizza and Margherita pizza and it was perfectly done. Just the right amount of sauce, perfect amount of cheese, thin, with a nice soft bubbly crust. A block off the restaurant row of the malecon with 3 dining areas , Air-conditioned and non on the first floor and a second floor rooftop patio. I was searching thru yelp for something that wasn't the typical tourist infested mediocre Italian and found Florios. The building itself has lots of architectural appeal. The food and service were quite good. They do a really nice pizza and had an interesting selection of wines. It won't go down as one of my top dining experiences in PV but certainly one I would return to. They can accommodate large groups and actually take reservations via WhatsApp which I believe I linked to via their Facebook page. I received an immediate response and my table was ready and waiting when I arrived. I'll be back to check out there pastas next time. read more

This small neighborhood Argentine/Italian restaurant features wonderful foods cooked over fire. We've eaten here perhaps 10 times (we live nearby) and have never left disappointed. Service is friendly, which is very appreciated. The steaks are first rate, as are the Argentine sausage. There seems to be a rotating list of pasta dishes as well as pizzas, but the chef knows what's in season and makes good use of the freshest ingredients. Most of the seating is outdoors, though there is a small air conditioned seating area. The outdoor seating is generally protected come the rainy season, but is a particular delight in cooler weather. read more

But I wanted to order the one I saw on the other re use with Alfredo sauce. But I guess you have to tell them. And I would add extra cheese next time. ALSO can I add that they gave you an amazing chili oil dipping sauce which is extremely spicy, and also a chimichurri that was amazing I put that on all the pizza and it was fantastic other than a side of ranch which I do not want but this was definitely a hit, I would love to make this at home and he's a chimichurri sauce on pizza!! We are staying at a resort here but we were craving pizza so I found Florios on Yelp. We ordered the margarita pizza and pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Wow! The food was great and the thin sliced dough was perfect and tasted great. All the way out here and the pizza would compete with any state in the United States that's how good it was. This was my first time eating here, despite walking past this place many times on prior visits to Puerto Vallarta. Several friends had recommended this place, and since I wanted a break from Mexican food, I decided to give it a try. I'm really glad that I did! The food was excellent! The Caesar salad was done in a very interesting way that worked perfectly. The lettuce (which was not Romaine, but rather some kind of red leaf lettuce) was grilled to add a nice, smoky taste. The croutons had the perfect amount of crunch, and there was just a hint of anchovies in the dressing. I ordered the Italiana pizza and it was fantastic! This may be the best pizza I have had in several years. The crust was cooked to perfection, the ham was very tasty, the amount of sauce was just right, and the cheese was perfectly melted. We had a reservation. The restaurant had maybe one or two tables seated, but they offered us a table right in front of the service bar, and right the kitchen and service areas. So we ended up seating upstairs which is an open-air charmless space. Everyone was pleased with their dinner choices. We had steaks, pasta and pizza. My pasta was freshly made and very good except the Carbonara sauce was tasteless. Service was excellent. With several in the group ordering a before dinner cocktail and sharing one dessert, the bill with gratuity came to around $150 USD for six. It was good but not great for the price. read more

I have never met a pizza I wouldn't eat. We ordered the Tres Países (Argentina, Italy, & Mexico) pizza. The crust was very good- not too much dough and baked to perfection in a wood fired oven. However, there was way too much going on with the toppings. There were so many I can't even remember them all and that made the pizza kind of blah. Next time we will order the Marguerita. What an amazing find in Puerto Vallarta!!! We are vegetarians and asked the waiter if there are options for us on the menu. He suggested a few options and we decided to go in. We ordered pesto and promodoro pasta and asked to customize it with vegetables. We also ordered a custom veggie pizza. Both the dishes were made to perfection. The home made Fettuccini was delicious and so was the pizza base. The hot sauces that came with the bread were delicious too (and very hot to my liking). A delectable Tiramisu capped off a great dinner The ambiance is super quaint with stone walls and cobble stone floors.. best of all Jorje or waiter was sort friendly and exceeded our expectations. This place was great. Handsome argentine chef, lovely attentive waiters, great open air space to go with the wood fire oven. Florios delivers on just a great low key, but highly delicious dinner away from all the tourist destinations of puerto Vallarta. I had the octopus capriccio, which was terrific and flavorful, a pizza which had a perfect crust and super rich cheese. Also had a side of mushroom which were really fantastic. Believe it or not star of the show - thick mushrooms with a great Smokey chili flavor. You don't expect to be blown away by a side of mushrooms, but with these, brace yourself. Visited this restaurant on our Vallarta eats beer tour for some craft beer and pizza. Loved it so much came back for more pizza after the tour. We had Sophia pizza with artichoke hearts, mozzarella, tomatoes and arugula and also had 4 cheese pizza. Great atmosphere, charming decor and awesome service. Florio's was a big disappointment for me. The restaurant is billed as Argentine/Italian cuisine and being as I am Argentinean, I know what my food should taste like, but what we were served did not come very close. My wife and I went there for dinner last night and we started things off with a couple of beef empanadas. They set us up with two little cups of sauces, one meant to be chimichurri and the other a hot Mexican sauce (which is neither Argentine nor Italian, but being as we are in Mexico, ok). But the chimichurri did not taste anything like any chimichurri I've ever had. I didn't even taste a bit of garlic, a basic component of the real thing. It just tasted oily with a bit of parsley. Bleh... Anyway, we then got the empanadas and guess what? They did not taste like Argentine empanadas either! I could taste the flavor of the ground beef filling, but there was none of that tasty sauce that it is usually cooked in! Just plain cooked ground beef filling. Bleh... By now I knew we were in trouble here. The main dish finally came out, a large piece of Argentinean style steak. Fortunately this steak was ok. Not the best I've ever had but not bad either (the steak got them two stars instead of one). It was quality meat, tender and cooked well. So I do have to say the evening recovered a little bit from my initial disappointment. Bottom line: there's no excuse for billing a restaurant as a particular type of cuisine and then not meeting those expectations at every point. Florio's can do better than that. - Cheers! read more

We traveled to Argentina last summer and this was some of the best Argentinian food we've eaten. Definitely the best food we had in Puerto Vallarta. Service was great! We loved it so much we went every day after discovering it. Three times. Everything was excellent - empanadas, caprese salad, pizzas, steak, and margaritas. Also, best margaritas we had! Excellent! Was looking for a new pizza place here in PV that delivers. Didn't feel like driving to Los Muertos Brewing (best pizza in PV) and obviously Mia Mia and Dominos are not real pizza. Saw some good reviews for Florios and decided to give it a try. They were able to provide someone who spoke English on the phone which I really appreciated. Ordered a basic pepperoni and a couple drinks. They only offer one size which was fine this time because it was just me eating but for the size it's pricey (relatively speaking). It was supposed to take 30 minutes and instead it took an hour and twenty minutes and a phone call to receive the order. This place is down the hill from my condo. I literally could have walked there, made the pizza myself and walked back in less time than this order took. The pizza, though cold by this point, actually didn't have bad flavor. But it had been overcooked originally. This place has potential and it's probably better to eat there instead of delivery or takeout. May try again sometime down the road but if you really want pizza I'd strongly suggest just going to Los Muertos Brewing. read more

I have been coming to Florios for about 5 years now. When I vacation in PV it's a must! The staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to make me welcome each and every time. The food is incredible! I usually get the Argentinian Ribeye with a delicious side of sautéed mushrooms. This last visit I finally ordered a pizza & it was fantastic!
