Flo's is a great little hidden gem in Patchogue. Went to Corey Beach for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to see Flo's in walking distance. They have a huge menu with so many great lunch options. Sandwiches, burgers, salads, kids meals, and even seafood! They also have smoothies, beer, ice cream, and plenty of soft drinks to choose from. I had a wrap sandwich with chicken, cheese, bacon, and southwest sauce. It was really tasty and the portion was large. Sandwiches seem to run around $7-10 with no sides included. They take cards or cash and there was a descent amount of parking. There is lots of outdoor seating, mainly communal picnic tables. You can also choose to get take out and have your lunch by the water! read more

We went on an early Sunday afternoon and we definitely expected it to be crowded. The line did move pretty quickly. We ordered a clam strip wrap and fish and chips. Pretty straight forward and pre-made so it should simple. It went down hill from there. My wrap was done quickly but apparently they lost my friend's order. 20 minutes later, her order was ready. My wrap was all lettuce and tomatoes and maybe 5 clam strips, if I was lucky. $16 for a tortilla with lettuce, tomato and tartar sauce. Fries are a side order and not included. The fish and chips looked good but lacked salt. I guess whoever made this order forgot to salt it after frying. It had absolutely no taste. Seriously how can you mess up these orders? The amount of tables has definitely been reduced. The picnic tables have been replaced but the new tables are smaller and since there are so many less of them, you are lucky if you find one. I used to eat here almost every day for lunch in the summer growing up. Came here often every summer as an adult too. The last four years, while the stand is still very crowded, the food had declined to mediocre at best, tasteless at worst. Never again. I always have liked Flo's the hot dogs are always excellent,ask for bacon haha when you ask for a tuna melt make sure you ask for a little more mayo otherwise you'll choke lol the root beer floats aren't that special but I personally just like going to Flo's it's very long islandish it's always good vibes read more

Sweet Jesus! This place is mecca for seafood enthusiasts. I look forward their opening every summer. They have been open since 1926, so they are obviously doing something right, let me explain... The menu offers plenty of options, but my favorite is the lobster roll and the baked clams. The lobster roll isn't filled with shredded pieces of lobster, but chunks, and everything is very fresh...the beach is down the street. The place is basically a seafood shack, you walk up give your order and wait at picnic tables. They play Billy Joel and fun old school music. It's very family oriented, but I think it would be great for a relaxed date too. A must for a summer beach trip out to Long Island. read more

Did you ever get a lobster roll made with cucumber, instead of celery? Well that's what they serve at Flo's. It is is too strong to combine with lobster; cucumber was all I could taste. So, essentially I paid $19 for a sandwich tasting of something I grow in my backyard. The stars are for the property. read more

I first noticed flos on my way to the restaurant on the water behind it, which didn't exactly blow me away. After looking it up, I took my parents here for the first time two years ago. Ever since, we are sure to always come when they open in spring, close in the fall, and probably once a week in between. I follow flos on social media to know when they're open and find out where the truck will be. I can't wait to find out where the new location will be! I love Flo's. It is an institution in thelocal community and is the quintessential spot for a summer lunch. It has great food with an ever expanding menu with interesting choices. I'm always happy with the food, service, and experience. That being said.... WOW this place has become over priced. It's crazy how much money you have to drop to eat here. I'm talking I feel like I'm at a medium to upscale restaurant... while sitting outside eating a burger on toast. There are some cheaper options, but in general, the popularity has resulted in steady price hikes. I still recommend the place, but unless it gets cheaper (which I'm sure it won't cause it's always busy), I can't give it more than a 3 read more

Really like this place, especially the wraps. I've tried a bunch of different ones so far and I have not had a dud. They could however, put more french fries in the wraps that are supposed to have them, I think I maybe found one total. They have a really good set up with ordering, multiple windows, and the table turnovers is quick, we always find a seat! I have gone here since I was a little girl.... Lots of years!!! Went 2 weeks ago have no idea what happened to this place BUT I got food poisioning. Was sick for 3 days.... I had crab cakes w tartar sauce. I think the staff behind the counter has no clue about food handling.. Me and my family love Flos especially on a nice day. Food is always good. Good prices and really nice atmosphere. You can grab a beer or sangria at the bar also. Perfect place for a nice summertime meal. It's an all around great place for a casual date or family meal. read more

This place has been great for me and my family to get some quick, fresh seafood after a day at the beach. It's casual, and so is the food; the lobster rolls are served on a regular old hot dog bun. The lobster salad itself makes up for it; a huge portion for the price. All their fried seafood is pretty good, particularly the beer battered shrimp and the coconut shrimp. Fries could use some more seasoning, and the salads are very underwhelming. Not good for food snobs, but worth a visit if you know what to order. I think this location is superior to their second location in Patchogue, despite the smaller menu. read more

When I visit my hometown of Sayville in the summer, I know I need a trip to Flo's. This quintessential shake shack and luncheonette brings quality to beachside food. The lobster rolls are generous and not too mayo laden. Today I tried "Mitch's Hurricane Wrap" and can't stop raging about the fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked Cajun shrimp. I never knew fried clams could be so big and crispy until I tried Flo's. Service can get a bit backed up during busy hours, and shaded seats are a commodity, but I'm happy waiting by the spillway or taking a stroll to the nearby beach. I only recently learned (not sure if it's new or that I'm oblivious) that there's a bar on the side. Let's be honest, beer tastes best when poured from a tap outside by the beach. This place is so cute! I always try to stop by here after spending a day at the beach down the road. The prices here are really cheap, the service is quick, and the fried seafood is tasty. I love crabcakes, and I'm never let down by their Maryland crabcake sandwich. If you're looking for something a little more crunchy, try the fried clam strips. I usually get a milkshake, and it's always the right consistency. Not too thick! Great place for groups or for families. read more

Expectations for Flo's were high and unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. I got the hurricane wrap and my wife got a salad wrap with chicken. They were OK but for the price I would have expected maybe chips or fries to come with the sandwich. My wrap was spicy and the shrimp was cooked well but the wrap was very wet and the taste of the shrimp was overpowered by the Texas Pete that apparently forms the majority of their "Cajun" seasoning. My wrap was dripping with the watery sauce. It would have been much better with a more light hand with some blackening seasoning or something a little drier. My wife's wrap was also OK but the wrap had a base of guacamole that wasn't mentioned on the menu. The atmosphere was nice but not someplace that I will go out of my way to visit. read more

Only went here one time, so far, like the location a lot, just down the block from Corey Beach which is a really good beach spot when you have little kids. We got 2 burgers and a side, and a shake - all were really tasty. It wasn't sloppy, it was timely and put together nicely. Ingredients were good, and overall I would go out of my way to go here again. They have a bar, but we did not go over there, but it is worth noting they serve beer (possibly more, not sure.) They have picnic tables outside, some shaded, some full sun. Try it! read more

I grew up in Blue Point and went to Flo's more times than I can count. I was a lifeguard at the beach just behind Flo's. This is a great place that just does not exist in today's world anymore. Great Burgers, Dogs, Fries and Milkshakes. On the few times I go back to Blue Point from SC - I make sure the entire family gets to Flo's for a Burger and a Shake. This is a place that should not be missed if you are in the area. I highly recommend it not only from my past childhood experience but my recent adult experiences - great food, good prices and timeless service. read more

It's a cute, casual luncheonette right down the block from the beach, making it an easy pit-stop on a nice sunny day (or a great place to grab a drink if it starts to rain!). Loved this place so much, we went back twice in a weekend (two different locations). The first was for dinner after a long day on the beach. Flo's has just the right kinda stuff if you want some seafood, just a sandwich or to entirely skip dinner and grab one of their amazing ice creams. I had the spicy shrimp BLT which spoke to each of my desires that particular evening. Part fried, part spicy with bacon - there's not much you could want more than that. I also was lucky enough to grab a Blue Point pumpkin that just was tapped, all of this combined on a cool evening was perfect. The Blue Point location has a nice selection of seating outdoors both in the front and the back with plenty of parking both beside the restaurant and across the street (the lot across is free during the weekends). I saw a lot of people here with their children but also just couples in for a quick bite. There is literally something for everybody, but you should definitely get something fried, because life's too short to eat non-fried foods. read more

Best place ever in the summertime. This seasonal roadside place can get crowded at times, and I've only gone on weeknights. I'm sure it must be a zoo on weekends. Great atmosphere with picnic tables, shade, and pebbles. Kid friendly, but also features an outdoor bar on one side. Food varies from typical snack bar stuff (chicken tenders, hot dogs, burgers, fries) to seafood (baked clams, clams on the half shell, shrimp cocktail, calamari, DELICIOUS Manhattan clam chowder) and sandwiches, wraps, and other fare. To drink, their "Summer Blend" is very refreshing iced tea/pink lemonade combo. The milkshakes are pretty epic as well. For a lunch, the Flo Puppy is a hot dog with cheese sauce and bacon (amazing). The crab cake on a roll is also one of my favorites. The Big Easy is a scrumptious wrap made with shrimp, bacon, and a chipotle dressing. I also had a Tex-Mex sandwich (I don't understand the name on that one) which was scallops and pico de gallo on a brioche roll...VERY tasty! Again, the atmosphere is a big plus here. You'll see people taking their classic cars out for a drive. Corey Beach is walking distance and there is a huge parking lot across the way. They play classic rock music and it's refreshing to see the younger kids working there (college aged) actually know the words to songs from the 70s. Sometimes it's tough to find a table, but people are generally in a good mood at Flo's and don't mind sharing half of their picnic table with you. The ice cream is sold at a separate window and is a choice of about 15 flavors of hard-serve in a cone or cup with optional sprinkles. I reccomend going on a warm weeknight. Get a summer blend (or a cold beer), a dozen clams or a chowder, and a Big Easy wrap. Enjoy the atmosphere, and walk down to Corey Beach for an hour or so. Then walk back for an ice cream. Overall, this place is a must on a warm summer evening in Suffolk County. NOTE: The Flo's in Patchogue is the same owner and delicious food. It is very nice inside and open year round. But for the true Flo's experience, Blue Point is the one to visit. read more
