This is a very hit and miss place for me. The last time I was there, the food was barely edible.

I thought this place would be my new favorite lunch spot in boulder. It was my second visit. I ordered the strawberry fields salad because arugula is my favorite green, and this salad advertised an arugula base. It took about 15 minutes for my salad to arrive (it was not busy. No line at all when I ordered.) The salad was about 90% romaine lettuce, incredibly disappointing. You can see about 3 quartered strawberries in the salad, I could find about 4 more after digging around all the romaine. I would much rather have been told upfront that they were out of/or low on arugula than to be served something that I did not order. Or at the very least is falsely advertised. Side note, the iced tea was delicious, but $3.50 for it seems a bit pricey. Sadly, I don't plan to return. (Ps-I've always been paranoid about sending food back, which is why I didn't when this happened yesterday, May 13th.) read more

3.5 stars.. Clean, colorful, and bright environment... First time dining here earlier this week. The person I ordered from tried to be helpful but wasn't.. I should have read some of the prior Yelp reviews for ordering advice. I ended up ordering a salad with salmon added.. I also ordered a drink.. The total was over 20 dollars.. Way beyond my budget unfortunately.. The salad alone was around 8 dollars.. How could the price go up so much just by adding salmon and a cold drink? So she took off the cold drink the total went down to a bit over 17 dollars. Still expensive in comparison to other similar restaurants. But I was super hungry so I stayed.. The salad was a generous portion and tasty.. I liked it.. There is a free decanter of lemony-rosy water by the entrance.. That was good with the meal. I see from other reviews here that there are more affordable ways to order a full meal so I will try that next time. Really liked the decor here and have recommended it to my daughter for her weekly meals out with my son and ex husband.. They have a bit more restaurant budget than I do so perhaps they can more fully immerse themselves in the Flower Child experience. read more

Flower Child is an excellent spot for unpretentious good food. Our soups, bowl and wrap were delicious. It also serves alcohol. The setting is beautiful and reminiscent of certain European cafés and bistros. We'll certainly be back regularly. read more

Perfect quick little lunch spot. Busy but just because it's popular. Lots of great options for gf/df/veg. All around great experience.

What a find! If you like clean, fresh, and really tasty food this is the place for you. I had a three-veggie plate that was extraordinary. The mashed potatoes were the best ever, the broccoli was fantastic, and the spinach was to-die-for. Even the self-serve lemon water was excellent. The restaurant is casual style, where you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The restaurant was crowded when we were there, yet our food was served promptly. The ambiance is sort of hip, and the restaurant itself exudes a clean fresh feel, with big windows providing much sunlight, and a youngish yogini clientele. The prices were excellent, and considerably less expensive that other new restaurants catering to young health-oriented diners. I'd give it a 6-rating if I could. I'll def be back often. read more

Ive had a couple things off the menu and I enjoyed them all but my fav has to be Mother Earth with Salmon, its a collaboration of stuff but it goes so good together. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Best meal I've had in a long time! So fresh, so clean , so healthy, so yummy !!! Loving every bite. I got the mother earth its everything it needs no extra sauce or spice it's perfect as is. Every bite is magic and totally filling without feeling gross. THIS IS EASILY THE BEST BOWL IVE EVER HAD!!! The space is nice plants hanging in the corners and art on the walls. they have a cute set of spinning flower chairs for kids to play on outside, and they have an outside porch. This is a walk up and order place with plenty of opitions you can add protien to anything all natural chicken, sustainable salmon, grass fed beef , non GMOs tofu . Mmmm good clean yummy food it's not super cheap but its resonable for the portion (at least with what I got the bowls ) . I had always heard good things about Flower Child but had never given it a try until I had family visiting. We ended up coming here three days out of their five day visit because we were busy and wanted quick, healthy food. Occasionally the line is long, but the wait for food is always short. I was blown away by all the different veggie options and how tasty they made everything. Tasty healthy food at a nice price. The focus is on the food. The service and facility are efficient but spartan. We had the avocado toast, Brussels and squash salad and Thai Cashew Quinoa bowl with chicken. Everything was delicious had a nice twist. The avocado toast for instance had black sesame seeds and a touch of white cheddar on top. The Brussels salad had some cranberries and goat cheese. Gotta love Flower Child! Nearly every dish is vegetarian and you can then add on animal protein should you want to, but you absolutely do not need to! We've tried several bowls and the plates (for which you can choose 1-3 incredible vegetables--special shout out to the eggplant and Brussels sprouts), and everything is clean and well seasoned. It's all sustainable and locally sourced, which is, of course, a major plus. The room is big and nicely decorated. Each table has a mason jar with fresh flowers, which I find adorable. Flowerchild used to be my favorite but it is very inconsistent. When the order is cooked right the food is amazing but 9 times out of 10 when I order food to good the vegetables aren't cooked all the way through. Today we ate in person with my family instead of ordering food to go. All of our meals were cold and my Brussels sprouts were so hard and undercooked. I was bragging to my family about how good flowerchild can be but lately unless I bring the food home and finish cooking it, I find it uneatable. :( read more

What a perfect addition to Boulder! Don't let the word healthy scare you off- this is some seriously delicious stuff! I love this place. Vegan poke bowl is delightful, ordered that to go a few days ago. Went in for dinner last night and the place was busy! My boyfriend had the cashew quinoa bowl and said that it was very well seasoned. Gluten free Mac was awesome and the spicy eggplant was wow! The Glow Bowl $9+ was tasty saucy salad harmony and I hope its year round. spicy sweet potato noodle, bok choy, zucchini, onion, jalapeño, shiitake mushroom, coconut milk, sunflower butter. It's surprising more places like Flower Child aren't in Boulder. I think it's a welcome and wonderful addition! From very allergen friendly food (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free), to a beautiful space with easy, free parking, to the food actually tasting delicious I love the variety of truly healthy options. There seems to be a little something for everyone and the fast casual environment is the way to go. My favorite off the menu is the Thai curry quinoa. For drinks try their kombucha on tap (or local beer on tap). Also, each location focuses on sourcing local which is impressive for a company with locations around the country. read more

Absolutely loved this place! My colleague and I stopped in here after flying in and it was the perfect post travel meal. I can best describe the menu here as the Whole Foods hot bar without the steep price. That's winning! The food was excellent! Nutrient dense and flavor packed. So happy with the dishes we ordered. The beet poke was wonderful and did not need any protein added in my opinion; was perfect as is. The 3 side plate is ideal for sharing. Loved that the butternut squash was cooked in with mulberries. I'm a huge sweet potato fan and thought that these were prepped wonderfully. There was a wide variety of yummy teas and lemonade as well which added to the fun. The place was buzzing during the lunch hour and it's obvious to see why so many enjoy it. Colorful, modern vibe in terms of decor. Definitely the "Instagram worthy" food. Came during a busy time 6pm on a Thursday so it took about 20 min for the food to be made after ordering at the counter, but over all, eveything was delicious.
