Can someone tell me what this place is about? Really, I want to love it. There's a beautiful farm, with a kitschy gift shop, supposedly there's also a barn where they do yoga.... And then there's also a cafe. Which honestly, based off the service and the food, feels like an afterthought. First of all, they had us order in the entryway, which is awkward because the bench tables in the cute cafe are super inviting and you want to just walk in and get seated, but then you have to stop before you go through the doorway and figure out what you want to eat. After you order, you have to get your own water and silverware. All of this makes you feel like you're at a fast food place but you're not. I ordered the avocado toast and it was good, the bread was fresh, but the hummus was really spicy. The corn salad was loaded with gorgeous purple cabbage but it also had a lot of kick and I couldn't taste much other than the spice. The others in my party said their food was good. Nobody raved about what they ate, which was a bummer because this place has so much potential. read more

Review based on first time visit for me (second visit for my wife). Sunday around 11:00. Beautiful spot, with tons of outdoor seating under shady trees and tarps. Food was delicious- my BLT was simple but just about perfect, down to the locally made bread. Wife enjoyed her breakfast burrito. Prices were a bit high but worth it for the quality. A wonderful jazz trio was playing in the courtyard, just added to the lovely ambiance. There is a small gift shop and also a nice wine tasting room next door. I'll be sure to pick up a bottle or two next time I visit. Just two small issues: The sparkling iced tea/lemonade drinks were excellent, but the amount given was too small... would have liked about 50% more for the price. Also, we got stuck behind some idiot who held up the entire line so she could go outside and ask her companion some questions. Cashier should have just taken the next order and kept the line moving. went here for a first date. very beautiful, but at first he said we were going to a cafe, and then when we pulled up to the cafe, it looked like someones house. i felt like i was on private property so i thought he was like "oh i'm like so good at making baked goods and fancy coffees at my house which is super aesthetic and epic" and i was like, nice this is cool i guess. turns out it was an actual cafe, which was still cool. very adorable, and will definitely be back. only if someone else pays for me though because it's kind of expensive. read more

This place is way underrated. I've come multiple times and had a 5 star experience. You feel like you're a world away. Great place to bring kids or for a ladies lunch. They have so many outdoor spaces! Some are vine covered, one is next to the sandbox, one is next to the pond, one is next to a walking path. You order food and drinks outside and get a beeper. I loved my avocado and hummus toast. Cappuccino was good. Not great. Service was friendly and casual. Restroom was clean. You can walk around the property and see chickens, orange and lime trees and grape vines. Went to the flower barn cafe today to celebrate my friend and my birthday for lunch...had wanted to go for a while...we missed the sign for the cafe so we ended wondering in the back where there were some cute cabins...finally found the cafe...I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of noodle salad...my friend had a breakfast sandwich...both had tropical ice tea. Found a spot outside and could hear music in background... We got our food quickly... My friend mentioned some thing about a salmon sandwich and lo and behold. That's what they served me. Went ahead and ate it anyway it was good...BUT the salad had no taste and maybe an 1/8 teaspoon of dressing...they did bring us more upon request but dressing was boring...no flavor. Food is good, service not so good. We stopped on Mother's Day, signage was not clear, should have posted "Happily serving only those with reservations". Beautiful environment! Was hoping the food would reflect it. Coffee drinks looked great but tasted like watered down coffee. Eggs were to over easy instead were varnished and overdone, bacon like cardboard not edible & toast was one piece cut in 1/2 for $17. A little over priced for 2 eggs and some potato's with 1/2 slice of sourdough I had BLT & couldn't eat it because the bacon was crucified. We tried the Flower Farm for lunch over the weekend. Folks we know had recommended it, so we decided to give it a try. Interesting place, out in the country. This destination has a café where we had lunch as well as a nursey and gift shop, along with a wine tasting room and bed and breakfast facilities. They also use the beautify grounds as an event center. A wedding was going on when we were there on Saturday. Live music was being performed outside for café patrons. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table - inside or out. Nice variety of menu options. We ordered two cups of gazpacho, a chicken salad and a chicken salad wrap. Gahh, I just love local! This is a true gem in Loomis. So much that I even contemplated whether I'd want to leave a raving review so as not to draw more attention to an already-packed place. Pre-Covid this was one of my favorite spots. It's always hit or miss as sometimes the wait can be upwards of an hour for overpriced food and lukewarm breakfast offerings. This place is sooo cute! Definitely a good place brunches, bridal showers, grad etc. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. You order at a cash register and they bring you the food. The menu is limited but everything was tasty. I ordered the citrus pork tacos and my husband ordered the tri tip sliders. You get to choose one side of three. The tacos came in two and a lot of meat in each one. The only downside was that there was no sauce for the tacos and it ended up being a little dry. But the meat had a nice flavor. The sliders came in three and my husband enjoyed them. The side dishes we got were the dill pasta and coconut cole slaw. The dill pasta was ok, not too much flavor. Although I stayed and walked your amazing winter garden, I chippered in my good morning greeting to your staff and was received with surprised-contempt. My expectations of stellar service was SHOT as I became very surprised considering your reputation of beauty and ambience. The place is adorable and I went in with my friend on Black Friday. I'd give 5 stars but the girl who helped us is just super rude at the register. She's blonde with blue eyes, light skin. No smile, her voice is just condescending and cold. I waited in line to order a tea. When I got to her I said: what kind of tea do u have ? Instead of simply telling me, she says: all of our teas are there on the bottom shelf. Great! So I had to leave the line and lost my spot to go look at the teas on the shelf! This restaurant is so cozy and comfortable. They were very friendly and even accommodated outdoor seating for us and our dog. The food was delicious. The menu is small, but totally delicious. They even have seasonal items depending on time of year and holidays (they had Irish food on St. Patrick's Day weekend). I'm pretty sure all the vegetables and fruits they serve are grown at the farm. We ordered the farm beet salad and farm fresh panini with a side of Irish stew, and an Americano. You're paying for the vibe and surroundings. Food is mediocre and a bit pricey for what you get. Having said that, BEWARE of a "table setting" charge on your bill. I met relatives there, who got there before us. There were six of us at the table. When I checked the bill, I was charged a $24 "setting" fee ($3 x 8 for an 8-seat table). Total bill was $153 for 6 people for a very average, no-frills breakfast. Didn't notice anything special about the table other than two plants in the middle of the table (maybe I should have taken them home. After all, I essentially paid for them). When I enquired about the charge, they said it's posted for all to see, but I didn't find it. A picture is worth a thousands words.............. While the Flower Farm is difficult to beat as regards the setting (really a delightful place to have a meal especially when the weather is nice) the food is somewhat lacking. On a recent visit ordered a bagel (see image) along w/the egg breakfast; the image of the bagel speaks for itself; the eggs were overly cooked and the potatoes mushy w/too much paprika. Have also received burned bacon in the past (on par w/the bagel)...... Too many places seem to try and jump ahead of mastering the basics; for example the baked goods, while making a good sponge for multiple cups of coffee, are pretty uninspiring all around; while not having sampled all of the menu the items that we have tried ranged from OK (at best) to mediocre or worse...... In summary; enjoy the Flower Farm's setting but don't expect too much in the culinary department............ read more
