New Korean chicken spot over in Port Washington. If you like really crispy chicken, Korean style, this is a spot you'll want to check out. The place is a good size--pretty spacious--and it looks like they're working on a back area for outdoor seating. So if you're into dining outside, it'll be a nice option once that's open. We went early in the afternoon for lunch. The vibe was chill, with a skylight in the middle of the dining room that really brightens the space during the day. Our server was super friendly and explained the menu items well. We ordered a family combo, which came with 8 wings, 8 drumsticks, a side dish, some pickled radishes (a staple with Korean fried chicken), and a few sodas. We also got their egg souffle (Gyeranjjim) with shrimp. For the chicken, we chose crispy for the wings and soy/garlic for the drumsticks. Both were really crispy--even the glazed drumsticks had that perfect crunch. Hopefully, they get their liquor license soon--because nothing pairs better with Korean fried chicken than a cold beer. Once that's set, this place will be all set too. I'd definitely go back whenever I'm in the area.

Lee's Korean Kitchen in Port Washington is a clean little take-out spot right on Haven Street by the train station. The owners are friendly, and the food was to my liking. We ordered 20 wings (10 original and 10 soy garlic), French fries, and coleslaw. The coleslaw tasted really fresh--it wasn't drenched in slaw marinade nor overly sweet. The fries were good, with a nice amount of herbs and not too garlicky. The chicken, though, was obviously my favorite. I enjoyed both the non-sauced and sauced ones. The seasoning was spot on, and the wings were all a decent size. The original ones had a nice coating and were perfectly seasoned. The soy garlic wasn't overly sauced, and because the coating was done right, it still had a crunch to it even after a 12-minute drive. Definitely going to come back and check out some of their other dishes.

Love their bento boxes that offer both spicy marinated and not so spicy marinated options. We love their tornado fries. If you have never been to a true carnival with carni food then you'll be surprised when you get it. Essentially a whole spiral cut potato on a skewer that's fried up and then seasoned. It's a cruise between a french fry and potato chips on a stick. Highly addictive and you need to order 2 per person because one is never enough! Tteokbokki (savory sweet & spicy Korean rice cake) could be a bit spicier and the sauce a tad thicker but still delicious! They offer a wide range of drinks from Vietnamese coffee, thai tea and boba teas and portion to price ratio is spot on! They do have some seating but best trådhegn out! Support local!

They have a beautiful dining patio outside and a humble interior. The bathroom is easy to get to and spacious. Everything is at grade level which is even better for handicapped people. I had a party of six and we sat outside. There was a good mix of shade and sun for those who didn't mind being a little cold or hot. The restaurant was able to accommodate us on Easter Sunday an hour earlier than they originally do open, so we would be guaranteed a place to eat. (Every other option was fully booked a week in advance!) The food was really good. We had a mix of beer and boba shakes for those of us who are sober. The kimchi pancakes were perfect and no shellfish to be frightful of in regards to allergies. We tried their popcorn chicken and one was a little sweet and spicy and the other was plain. We shared edamame. And everyone was happy with their dishes whether it be the vegetarian japchae, beef bulgogi, dolsot bibimbap with an egg, house salad, soup, chicken katsu, etc! Only one star removed because the veggies were still more raw than cooked in the dolsot bibimbap. I know we were a large group, but cooking it a little extra would have been preferred. Happy eats!

Once inside, you enter the best of what Korean BBQ has to offer. It's no wonder this establishment keeps growing - a new Commack location is imminent. No need to fear about speaking English - the staff speak better English than me! Speaking of staff - Nick was our server for a large group ranging from infant to senior citizens. He was patient with our many questions about the different types of meat and was ever attentive to all of our needs, both young and old. Nick was so good, we had the manager (who had just finished her shift and was walking in the parking lot) return to the restaurant so that we could let her know how great Nick was! There aren't vents above the grills so the smoke can get on you and in your way (my friend was coughing and sweating a lot every time the smoke blew her way...). We tried the pork spicy bulgogi, spicy chicken, and chicken breast (plain). The marinades ran far too sweet for my likely so I ended up preferring the plain chicken and also didn't think the marinades were spicy enough. The spicy tofu soup was a great side option to have. The banchan were also all slightly too sweet for me, the soybean sprouts were my favorite mainly because they were not overly sweetened. The radish, daikon, and kimchi were all way too sweet and really tolerable for a couple bites. Also tried the grilled vegetables and bibimbap bowl for some additional veggies and rice. The service is quite good and their staff will help grill and check in on your food so you can focus on eating. The music here is a tad loud but you can still have a conversation. Per person cost was nearly $50 so it exceeded $60 per person with tip. Would only recommend if you can tolerate sweet marinades and can get your money's worth for that base cost.

This place is a little of a hidden gem and not quite like other Korean restaurants. But no gatekeeping here! We also came at a weird lunch time around 2pm so it wasn't really busy and we were seated right away. Once you enter, you'd quickly notice the very detailed beautifully hand painted murals on the walls and an abundance of painted butterflies. The attention to detail is impeccable! The menu is also very cute and I'm guessing handmade. It was pretty detailed and we appreciated learning about each dish before deciding what to order. We ended up ordering the Kimchi Pancake with seafood, the spicy bulkoki udon and the jeyuk udon. The kimchi seafood pancake was super crispy and filled with squid and shrimp! It also came with a semi sweet dipping sauce that paired nicely. Both udons came out piping hot and fresh! Udon had a nice chew to it, was loaded with vegetables as well as meat for each dish. The egg was fried and did not have a runny yolk. For sides, they gave us 4 things- a tomato salad, kimchi cucumbers, braised string beans, and bean sprouts. The tomato salad came in this cute apple shaped dish but neither of us really cared for it- this is completely biased though since we're not really fans of tomato. What we really did love was the kimchi cucumbers! Also at the end, they served us 3 pieces of cantaloupe which were very sweet. Overall, yummy food, cute shop, and friendly/nice staff! I'd come back to try their other food options in the future!
