He serenaded us like a Venetian Gondolier, tied my hair into a Viking braid, offered better marital counseling than 20 years of therapy, and yeeted my son off the front of the raft all included in the price of our trip. Don't let his Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel looks fool you. Despite the fact he has no teeth he can hit every high note from Con te partiro better than Will Ferrell. At one point Eli pulled to the side of the river and did 40 handstand push-ups with no hands while belting out Eminem's Rap God. I will forever sing Eli's praises and if this review is seen by his superiors, he definitely didn't say anything bad about you and he probably needs a raise. read more

We took just a rafting trip, didn't go horseback riding. We had such a good time, our guide Sofia, did such an amazing job. She did a back flip, remembered all our names, and we all were able to get in and go swimming. The walk down was a bit treacherous but nothing too bad. My husband and I did the 18 mile rafting trip. our guide Jackson was phenomenal. He kept us entertained with fantastic informative stories. He pointed out a bald eagle! Loved the staff here! Great bunch of folks. Did the full day rafting and has a blast! We went in July and the rapids aren't amazing, class 1,2 and maybe 3. Minimal 3. We did spend a good chunk of the time floating which was nice but not very active. I think may/June the rapids might be better. Overall, great place. Street parking. Prices are decent and include: shoes, vest, life jacket etc. we got a lunch too (1/2 sandwhich, chips, cookie, fruit and water). There is about a 30 mins lunch break. We had a good time. Enjoyed it overall. Will be back. Location in Gardiner, MT. read more

I was sidelined from strenuous hiking with our group due to a knee injury and was so happy our guide referred me to Flying Pig to see what they might have available. I signed up for an 8 mile rafting trip -- I thought it would be mostly floating as the water level seemed a bit low. Jeff was our river guide and besides expertly moving us down the river, gave us historical tidbits, pointed out some of the wildlife, and tutored us in proper paddling techniques. Despite being mostly a float, there were enough mild rapids to provide thrills and I was glad to be sitting behind someone taking the direct water hits. I appreciated the water shoes that were provided. I wish I had been in Gardiner long enough to book another tour such as a saddle paddle. read more

Unfortunately with the closer of the Yellowstone entrance it was slow for these guys but great for us since we had the boat all to ourselves. Luke was a great guide and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed learning from him and all that he had to tell us about the mountains and wild life. We were hoping for a few more rapid waves but it was an enjoyable 1+ hr tour and didn't have to work too hard on paddling. read more

We did the 8-mile raft trip yesterday and it was fun. River was chill most of the time but we got wet here and there since we sat in the front. For the price I'd say it's worth it. Tour guide was chill and witty. They have adorable dogs so that's always a plus fir me but sadly I only saw them in the beginning and the end. This specific trip is definitely beginner friendly. I recommend for families too. But also from what I understand, this time of year the river is calmer. Im sure it's not so much during July and august I assume. We purchased pictures at the end too. Everyone was friendly! That's always important to me. read more

Wow what an incredible experience. My friend found this company while we were traveling through Yellowstone and we were set on seeing the park in a different way and this was it! Let it be known that is was freezing. So, my expectations were not very high. But man was I wrong. Our guide, Anna, was great. She was full of informative tidbits and ensured that we had a stellar experience from start to finish. We had the opportunity took see a band eagle, pronghorn, and elk while on this excursion and she would allow the raft so we could get the best view. The rubber had plenty of rapids so it came loaded with fun and splashes! Even in the thirty degree weather, we man bagged to stay warm I'm the provided wet suits. Beijing your own gloves! We had a great time, this was a fun time with family , will remember forever

Prior to arriving in Yellowstone, I booked our 2 hour horseback riding and 8 mile rafting for my family. In order to be fair, I will break this down into two separate reviews, because they are for two separate companies. First off, my family did the horseback riding at 11 a.m. We arrived a little early and was greeted by one of the wranglers. We spent some time petting the horses, then signed our waivers and were saddled up. They placed us on some beautiful horses. My son, who is 14 was given the gentler 27 year old one to ensure his safety, which I appreciated, and my wife and me were provided younger horses. While being saddled up, I mentioned that I had arthritis in my knees and they adjusted the stirrup higher to accommodate, but about 15 minutes into the trip I realized I was still having issues. I could not get comfortable at all. Later my wife mentioned that the girth of the animal was larger than theirs, which to me meant they did not really size up the rider before choosing the horse, (I am 5'6"), so for the next two hours I remained in pain and just bit my lip because I didn't want to ruin the trip for my wife and son. Despite this fact, the views were excellent, the trail leaders were very knowledgeable, and their two terrific dogs followed us on the trip. When we returned, I was barely able to dismount the horse and my wife had to do the driving back down the mountain. For lunch we were provided wrist bands which allowed us all to have burgers, but I choose to pay a little more to get a Philly Cheese Steak instead. The food was great and we sat there for a while until it was time to return to the Flying Pig for the Rafting. We got ready for the trip and were sitting out front for a little while before I went in and asked if the guide would be letting us know when it was time and was told they are on the side getting ready. So, no one really told us anything until I asked. We were paired off, signed our waivers, and was given our safety briefing. Then, we jumped into the boat and were off. My family has been on a rafting trip before, but not one this long. The rafting trip and the guide were excellent. We even witnessed a mother and baby deer crossing the river, along with a dozen or so others on the hillside. My son and the guide jumped into the river for a bit and the guide ensured we had fun. Now for the bad. You don't realize that after two hours on a horse that a ride, even on a raft can be painful. It was not as bad as being on the horse, but still somewhat. Finally, we get to the end of the trip to find out no pictures were taken, which was somewhat of a disappointment, and which should have been addressed prior to leaving. All in all, both companies get a 3 star. My recommendation is that you either do one or the other on your trip, but not both, especially not in the same day. read more

A terrific whitewater rafting trip yesterday! They were equipped with all the appropriate gear. (Unlike most rafting rips we have been on, the gear didn't small awful) We had all different kinds of weather (and thankfully, no snow!) and they were prepared to make us comfortable with each change in the weather. Only recommendation I would like to make is to not bring valuable items to the meeting point because there are no lockers to store small items. We loved our rafting trip with flying pig! Austin was our guide and he was seriously the most patient, fun-loving guy. He had everyone (including one especially skeptical and frightened family member) feeling completely comfortable in his care during the entire ride. I felt the company was professional and that we experienced exactly what was advertised. The water was very cold, but we all had wetsuits and shoes provided. They had a place to leave your things when you arrived and provided a simple, but ample lunch. The photos cost extra, but looked very nice.
