Just a new comment. I find it interesting that the owner only comments in positive reviews. Suggests he is a bit blinded by his ego. Speaks to the quality of food and service. Sorry. We are just doing this place wrong. Tried 3 time over past couple of years (no covid visits) and it's just not meeting our expectations based on price and the fact it's still open. Three cheese dip is no better than what you can buy at Tom Thumb across the street. Zero taste. All taste the same. The $30 sirloin was cooked perfectly but needed a saw to cut and had almost no taste. I know it's sirloin. But if you are going to charge $30...why not add a filet ? It's possible. Sorry dudes. I can cook that on the grill outside for $12.00. Wouldn't. But could. The salmon was small, tasteless and dry. Decent glass of wine is $16 Just appears they are not trying very hard. Don't want to bring up the hostess that denied us a booth, that was never filled why we were there. In her defense, rules appear to be rules. I really want to love this place. Local and want to support Keller. But I am still heading to DF Grill in Southlake for consistency and generally a cooler place. Btw. I will be writing a review about Keller chophouse that will be worse. It's Keller. So I guess we just need to stick to chicken restaurant and and decent Thai. read more

I had the North Carolina trout wow tons of flavor just yummy yummy! We had the best time and the cobbler tonight was amazing. I haven't found anything that I didn't find to be totally delicious!!!! We live in Keller and this place is very convenient so we keep coming back even tho every time we leave, we say we won't be back. We like to sit at the bar and have drinks and dinner. The bartender needs some training even tho he has been there forever. He is unfriendly, almost surly. Acts like he truly does not want to be there. Never greets you, just asks what we want. And when you ask him for something like a refill or your bill, his answer is YEAH. And the smell of smoke is still awful. We truly won't be back. read more

We are frequent flyers here. We come in at least once a week for happy hour. I LOVE this place and the people in it. John and Juan are part of the reason we keep coming back. The food here is great and the drinks are amazing. I think we've made it through the entire drink and food menu. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because if you are a frequent patron, it feels like the menu gets stagnant. There are some great lunch menu items that I would like to see moved to dinner (macadamia crusted chicken salad). I love how often they change up the drinks. It would just be nice to see the same with the food. This place is a fantastic addition to Keller, and we are so thankful for it. read more

Been here quite a few times since my first review. Ambience remains the same and it is a nice restaurant with attentive staff. but the food has become mediocre. Last time we went was on New Year's and paid $200.00 per couple for scallops that were not cleaned properly and a halibut fillet that was definitely frozen prior to being prepared and delivered to our table. That's fine, but don't charge as if you had it flown in that day. Then serve us a dessert that definitely wasn't made there. No creativity & quite lame. I don't mind paying for quality food, but this place seems to have lost that fresh, hand-made taste. There were 8 of us in our party and all agreed that we would skip this place in the future. Hidden here in the heart of Keller, its actual gourmet food without having to go into FW or GVin (or Southlake, or Dallas, etc). Me and the Brunch crew hit it on Sunday morning. And when you have 4-5 different Eggs Benedicts on the menu, you are unfairly going to be put on the precipice.... You start with a 5 and balance on the edge of the waterfall! Balancing achived! Well done! 5 Stars! How do you imrpove on Prime Rib Eggs Benedict? Add a Prickly Pear Mimosa, of course! Champagne Wishes! The Bloody Mary's are awesome! I have eaten here many times and I'm always pleased with the food & the service. The chef is extremely talented AND friendly. Knowing that this is not a corporate run chain restaurant, but instead, a chef owned small restaurant, makes me incredibly happy to have it close to my home. This is one of those restaurants you would typically have to drive to Dallas to experience... Love it! I love the turkey bourbon cranberry sandwich, but also, the Bomb Chicken is absolutely "the bomb". My hubby likes the Rubenesque sandwich and prime rib when they have it. read more

My wife and I stopped in for dinner last Saturday night after spending the afternoon birthday shopping for our 15 year old son. We had heard good things about FnG, and it was about time we gave them a try. And, boy, am I glad we did. Upon our arrival around 7:30-ish, the restaurant was mostly full. We were immediately struck by the ambience of the place - an upbeat & lively group of patrons being served by friendly and smiling wait staff. We were promptly seated and greeted by our server. Upon perusing the menu, I was impressed with the variety of creative dishes offered at all courses of the meal. Where else can you choose between chicken-fried venison, Scottish wild salmon, or "buffalo meatball riggies", among other things, for your entree? This was a tough decision for both of us - not because nothing looked good, but because EVERYthing looked good. I finally honed in on the Scottish wild salmon and my wife chose the Gilroy roasted chicken. My salmon was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. It was moist, flavorful, and just the right portion. Many of the entrees come with the FnG OC Greens - a combination of spinach and other leafy veggies combined with cubed sweet potatoes and a seasoning with just enough kick to make the tastebuds dance. My wife enjoyed her chicken, but let me eat her mashed potatoes since she's on a low-carb thingy. Outstanding. FnG offers an ample selection of wines by the glass with something to please any palate. We passed on dessert, as we just couldn't eat another bite. During our visit we chatted a bit with owner and chef Bob Stevenson, who shared the menu of an upcoming wine pairing dinner. They offer a communal table (empty when we visited) and will serve a special Valentine's Day dinner to several couples around that table. Can you tell I was impressed? I'm awarding five stars for a creative menu, flavorful offerings, friendly & knowledgeable staff, and a cool ambience. FnG is a wonderful addition to Keller and I wish them success. Bacon jalapeño choc chip ice cream was very unique. It was food and ice cream. It awakened all my taste buds. I didn't know if I really liked it but, I kept eating it. Fish and chips was excellent. My wife liked her Charizo tacos. The Charizo is made in house every day. The Perfect Margarita was okay. Not great but, for $5 on happy hour it was pretty good. It took quite a while to get it seeing as how the bar only had two patrons. I'll be going there again because the food isn't normal, it's unique and I'm ready for something new. It reminds me of Next Wood Fire Grill where the food is very chef inspired. The wait staff and host staff has a great attitude and always smiling which means great leadership usually. Our first encounter was when we said we were a party of 7 and the woman at the host desk looked like we told her we had escaped from prison. They refused to scoot two tables together so we opted to squeeze into a booth. This worked just fine. We had the brisket potstickers and burgers for Lunch. The food was great, however, the service was abysmal. The waitress took 10 minutes to get us drinks. Our food sat under the warmer right in front of us for over 5 minutes. When we tried to explain the soup was cold and some of the items came out wrong, the waitress raised her voice and started refuting our claims- as if to accuse us of lying! WOW! Even though the food was good and they got us a new waitress for the remaining meal, we will not return. There are too many restaurants in town with great service. read more

I keep trying to like this place because it's so close to my house. Food is way overpriced for what you get but biggest issue is the service. My order is consistently wrong or takes way too long. Ordered takeout today and they forgot to "process" the order so it didn't start cooking until I arrived for pick-up. Used to love the salmon but they changed the menu and took away the fettuccini with it, now you just get some grilled veggies... All for $20. Definitely want to shop local and support Keller business but FNG needs better, more experienced staff and a focus on customer experience. Doesn't take much to go out of business or thrive... New restaurant replaced old City Hall. Similar nice interior but pretty small menu, at least when we went for lunch. I went for the bison burger which was decent but not anything vastly different than other local burgers. In fact, all 3 of us settled on the burger as the best choice on the menu, though I gave the salad a second look. Service was better than City Hall and people seemed attentive but I didn't feel there was anything special to make me go back on a regular basis. read more

Easily a 4 star rating. FnG eats has a quite creative menu, the kind we really enjoy. Nothing run of the mill tends to hit the mark with us, and this place has a great blend of traditional, and creative eats. There's something for everyone on the menu, even tiny bites for our tiny humans. FnG also got the ever picky 4 year old seal of approval. Food was hot and grub-a-licious, staff was the friendliest we've seen in town (which is crazy friendly by California standards), and the environment was trendy, hipster, youthful, and unique. We've only been for lunch, and the environment was just loud enough to accommodate our squealing toddler, but my gut tells me we'd be the loudest people on the block if we brought him to a dinner meal at FnG. I could be wrong... We'll be back, and I might be able to convince my husband for a trip today ;). read more

Reading the mixed reviews we did not know what to expect. It was our first time at FnG and we wanted to try out a restaurant in Keller Texas. We were greeted and seated immediately on a rainy Halloween evening. I thought the menu had a great selection to choose from. I ordered the boneless pot roast short ribs and my husband ordered the chicken tierra pasta dish for our main course. I don't get an upscale restaurant feel like the website describes. It seems to be an easy going restaurant that is kid friendly and we loved the food. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. read more

So, I'm an intermittent vegetarian, and the day that I went to FnG with my grandma, I was having an "on" day. When I looked at the menu, I saw...well, nothing. Salads. And a couple of appetizers. In my experience, a good cook can figure out a vegetarian option. I asked about veggie burgers. The waitress seemed somewhat confused about the idea of a vegetarian coming in and wanting something more substantial than a salad, which is frustrating in its own right. So I had a salad. And it was fine, I guess. Despite it being decidedly full price, it was small enough that I was hungry an hour later. If I had been with friends, I'd've insisted we leave. But sometimes you make sacrifices because you love your Grandma. It's worth noting that Grandma and her friend enjoyed their food. So they got an extra star from that. I'm not the sort of eater who expects an option for me if a place is called, "All Meat All The Time." But when you're advertising yourself as a good restaurant where everyone can have something they like...I have confidence that their chefs can dip into their knowledge of food preparation and come up with a vegetarian option outside of salad. read more

This place is a real gem in Keller. Excellent food with seasonal updates to the menu. My new fave? The pork cracklins (that comeback sauce!) Old standbys are the triple dip, Lodo dip and turkey bacon cranberry sandwich. All of which are consistently stellar. Their house made tortilla chips are the best around. Well, it seem that FnG is dropping off of my ratings for the last 2 visits (of a total of about 6 in the last year). Sadly, this last visit, I stood at the bar for twenty mins without being acknowledged, and what made it painful is there was eye contact with the bartenders (while others who arrived after me were served). I was never served at the bar. This sort of set the tone for the night, as it seemed our server struggled with the bar to get our drinks as well. For the most part, the food remains solid, with standouts like the salmon and the burger which are solid. The menu does have a nice variation of items, so depending on what you like (or dislike), there are options you will find it. We also did get one round of drinks that didn't seem to match the cocktail menu, but we were then told that "what was supposed to be printed", wasn't printed. Just seemed odd. Nevertheless, with so many other options, have to debate if I will be back. read more

Have been going there since it opened quite often. But things have deteriorated in the last 6-9 months. Todays meal was the last time I will visit here. 2 burgers and 2 beers = $48. Really? The food was sub-standard and MacDonalds has better fries. To top it all the bartender was just grouchy and snippy. He snapped every word and did not look like he wanted to be there. Having an over-priced menu, sub-standard service, and ambiance more like a clean sports bar (minus the TV's), does not make it an upscale restaurant, Recommend go to B.J's in Southlake. Much better ambiance, great service and way better food for less. read more

What a great new breakfast place in NRH. Outstanding waitress great service . When you order coffee they leave the whole pot on your table. I had the whole wheat blueberry pancake . Blueberry where huge and the pancake tasted great. One of the best pancakes ever. The bacon was also very crispy and tasty and the sausages patties had great flavor. Just little spicy to give u that little kick . Scrambles eggs were fluffy and tasted great with their hot sauce. read more

Today was our first day there for lunch. I go to many restaurants since I enjoy eating out and trying new restaurants. This was the worst restaurant in a long time. I had a Ciabatta ham and turkey sandwich, that was not only disgusting but later on made me nauseous and I only ate half of the sandwich. My husband had a burger melt on rye that was full of butter. All day I've been nauseous....both meals were just disgusting. Plus our blond waitress was so unfriendly!! When I asked for a single coke refill....she looked at me like I was disturbing her. We stopped in for lunch last week and sat on their delightful covered patio. Our service was good despite being at the end of the patio. We didn't try any cocktails, but my iced tea was good and refilled often. We started with the triple dip, 3 delicious hearty dips served with tortilla chips. They were served cold, with a nice consistency, and lots of interesting veggies packed in. The brunch menu was just ending when we arrived, so I snuck in an order for the chicken and cornbread waffle. It was okay; the chicken was good but the cornbread waffle was not for me. My husband had a Rueben, which was solid. Overall it was a nice lunch and we will definitely return to check out dinner. read more

Unique food, chill atmosphere, and great service! The Prickly Pear Mimosa was amazing.

First time visit the other day to get takeout for myself and my dad--the burger and side salad, and burger and fries, were super tasty and serving size was good. I would rate this 4 1/2 stars. The burgers were cooked correctly (medium and medium well). The burger buns were not oversized, which often is the case, and it was a well-balanced burger-to-bun ratio. The dressing for the side salad, a peach vinaigrette (I think), which I got on the side, was different but tasty. Price was quite reasonable at $11.50. I will likely return. read more
