This place is awesome! Francisco was very friendly and helpful. He was very clear in explaining what my car needed and when it needed to be done. He took pictures of the problem areas in my engine and explained each picture. He also is really good at telling you quotes of parts and labors, and ordering them in importance of when they needed to be done. I never trusted mechanics before because they never took time to help me understand what was wrong with my car, but Francisco was patient with me and took great care of my car! Was looking for a local shop to take my Prius to get an oil change instead of driving to the dealership and waiting 2+ hours. I turned to Yelp and after calling around and getting quotes I decided to make an appointment at FNP. When I called Fransisco answered and was super helpful and gave be a quote that was far below other shops in the area; he was also extremely friendly! I made a same day appointment & dropped off my car to get an oil change as well as a tire rotation. When I arrived I was greeted by name and both Fransisco and his wife were extremely friendly; it was refreshing that Fransisco didn't try and upsell me on anything either, he did the work we discussed and answered all of the questions I had. I came here because of a yelp review and it lived up to all the hype. I sat down with Francisco and he is the epitome of being a professional and the kind of trustworthy guy that you want to do business with. I work in sales and we sat down and talked about his business while his mechanic was running a diagnostic on my car and I came away with a strong impression that Francisco is the real deal because he truly believes in quality over everything and does everything in his power to make going to get your car fixed as stress-free of a situation as possible. It's because of this attitude that I continue to go back. Not only did he show me a step by step rundown of the things that my car needed to get fixed - along with pictures - he even gave me an estimation in terms of how severe the problem was as well as a timeline as to when I should get those issues fixed. All of this was free of charge and him doing his due diligence as a thorough mechanic. He really does believe in the long-play of building relationships rather than being invested in the money from a quick fix. He then sent an email of that diagnostic and followed up with me via email after he fixed my car just to make sure everything was running smoothly. I went to FNP Auto the first time because I was looking for someone in my area that could do a synthetic blend oil change for about $20.00. After looking at the Yelp reviews, I thought I'd give the place a shot. I can say that after that first time last year I have and will continue to return to FNP Auto. Francisco is very knowledge and friendly. He takes the time to explain what's wrong with your car and answer any questions you have. Also, his initial inspection is thorough and he provides you a report via email with photos of suggested maintenance--very handy for repairs you might want to do down the road. Recently, I did some major service with him for the first time and it went great. He gave me a quote and pre-diagnosis over the phone (mine was specific issue FYI) with no hassle. The final price came out to be real competitive if not lower than places like Pep Boys too. I'm happy with that. Overall, I highly recommend FNP Auto. Although there are downsides to service by appointment only, the upside is that you get a 1 to 1 experience and spend less time just waiting to get service (e.g. compared to Pep Boys). read more

Francisco is the man! I was hearing something wrong with my car that sounded like a boost leak, so I stopped by FNP auto to see if Francisco can take a look. (I did not have an appointment) Upon checking under the hood he found a loose hose and tighten it for me which fixed the problem. I recommend making an appointment before you stop by....as I got very lucky for him to see me. Honestly I do not feel like I deserved his help that day just because I was being selfish with my needs and did not think about how busy he is. Will definitely make an appointment in the future. Francisco explained very well to me what happened to my car and even showed me his monitor screen to each problem. Got an oil change and a transmission flush and I woke up the next day with my drive way having a huge patch of car oil spot the size of a carryon luggage. I slowly drove to the shop after calling them when my engine started to heat up and I was being honked at in the streets by several people letting me know that my engine was smoking! After waiting at the shop for an hour the owner told me that they placed a defective cap and that it had a crack in it and that they are sending the cap back to the manufacturer. He didn't offer any compensation for my time or the fact that I had to go out of my way to come back to the shop the next day and I had to clean up my driveway drenched in oil due to their carelessness and not properly checking their inventory for defects. The fact that he didn't try to make things right and offer to compensate me for the time and hassle and putting my safety at risk, it makes me think this is something that happens all the time. My suggestion, don't waste your time. Your safety is more important than a "mediocre" car maintenance deal. read more
