Prompt, courteous, thorough, and great customer service.

My car needed an oil change, spark plug replacement, and a brake fluid bleed. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner and my car was quickly taken to be fixed. I had to wait awhile but luckily I brought my laptop and used their free Wifi. There were many necessities that were for the customers, such as water, candy, magazines, and a clean bathroom. As a college student I have certain budget and Franco told me what items in my car that needed to be fixed. He also gave me a time frame on certains things so I would have enough time to save money. I am the first and only owner of a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. I would say I take moderate care of it. I hate taking my truck in to get serviced! More often than not the guys will find something extra that "needs immediate attention" because it is approaching 10 years old. I live in Long Beach and thought I found a reputable place south of Stearns near Cal State but once they had my business, I felt they tried hard to milk me. Needless to say I started searching for someone else. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to give FNP a try. They are FANTASTIC. I went in for an oil change and when Francisco came out and said "can you come here with me, I need to show you something"? I thought "here we again"... My truck was still lifted and he showed different things that are in need of attention. He took the time to explain why I needed it and when I would need it. He did not try to high pressure me or make me believe my truck would fall apart if I didn't service it right then and there. I felt comfortable and reassured that he was knowledgeable and trying to build his shop with fair pricing, quality of work and honorable business practices. As a high school teacher, students are constantly asking me if I know anyone that can work on cars. I always say no because I do not feel comfortable putting my reputation in someone else's hands. I will recommend FNP from here on out because of the quality of work and fairness of price of these people. Absolutely the best customer service I've seen out of a mechanic ever. I went in for an oil change and for a smog check. They took digital pictures of every point of inspection, gave me acid test papers on fluids, and gave me a 1st time discount. They also emailed me the pictures and walked through each of the pictures when I came to pick up the car. All that for $25!!! Never felt like they would trying to squeeze, sell or swindle me. He had called earlier that day to make an appointment and, after arriving a few minutes late, was greeted with an open door and a "Hello Steve" by Francisco, even though he had never met him. This man truly knows how to treat people with respect and honesty. He is one in a million. Our car was inspected as an extra service since it was our first visit and Francisco pointed out some things, with pictures, that we may want to consider getting fixed. We will not hesitate to take our car back to FNP when we are ready to take care of them. This place has far and above earned its 5 stars and has compelled me to write my first review. Francisco is clearly not only a professional when it comes to cars, but also when it comes to people. I had my first oil change at his location very recently and was very impressed with the way in which Francisco handles himself as well as how far he's willing to go to make sure that his customers are happy. The small waiting room has plentiful snacks and amenities for you to help yourself to while you wait and the service is much faster than what you'd find at a dealership. Once it's all done they take the time to go over other aspects of your car and let you know when you would most likely need servicing done for those various parts which provides a nice piece of mind in knowing for sure the status of your vehicle. In my case, a problem with the oil change was discovered a few days after servicing and oil was leaking from my car. I called up Francisco's office first thing the next morning and he offered to have me bring in my car at my earliest convenience, regardless of his current schedule, so that he could diagnose the problem himself. Not only did he resolve the problem extremely fast and respectfully, but he also provided a small gift to make up for my having to revisit him to get the issue fixed. Francisco is extremely polite and clearly someone who is always looking to improve himself and his business. Make no mistake, the rest of the other 5 star reviews here are no lie; this place knows what they're doing and they care about you. The true epitome of great business practice. Just picked up our car from Francisco. We were looking for a mechanic in the area and chose him because of all the positive reviews so far. We weren't disappointed! He was super friendly and helpful. Francisco took pictures of everything wrong with the car and sent it by email, and kept us updated with how the work was going. After it was done he sat us down and explained all of the work that was done so that we could understand clearly. He even provided a free rental car since he kept the car overnight.
