I don't usually write reviews but I had such a pleasant experience with Sijin I had to write this. Not only did he answer on the weekend, he was open on a holiday for me to come in. He also had his prices up front and was honest about what things would cost before coming in unlike other shops where they will only give you an estimate after a diagnosis. I came in for an A/C repair and he also suggested to replace my serpentine belt which I also did. When I came to pick up my car he informed me also did additional repairs free of charge, including fixing an oversight caused by my previous mechanic which caused a hissing noise. My ac works and the hissing noise is gone. I will be going back any time I need anything, thanks! read more

I took my Honda CR-V here about 2 years ago and was able to save a lot on repair to my rear wheel bearing compared to service costs at Honda. I appreciate the helpful and honest responses from Sijin and it's great that he is able to communicate via text since I tend to have a hard time getting on the phone or driving my car over to get an estimate. He's quick to respond and personable. I would use JIN's autocare again when needed, especially when it comes to the bigger repairs. I contacted Sijin over email about how much a transmission fluid change was for a Lexus sedan and he responded quickly with a great price. I came in and he estimated 2-2.5 hours, but was done in 2 hours. He also did a road test where he mentioned the car shifted fine. Note: he used OEM Toyota WS ATF. I drove the car home and instantly noticed how much smoother it shifted between gears 1 and 3. I was very glad I decided to just bite the bullet and get service done. The jerky shifting was making me regret buying the car, but now I have basically nothing to complain about! Story for context: I recently purchased a certified car and I couldn't get over how the 8 speed would noticeably shift between gears 1-3.Many people online just said "that's how it is", but I figured I'd at least try to change the fluid. Technically, the Lexus 8 speed has "lifetime fluid" so Lexus dealers usually won't do it, so I knew I needed to find a good indy with prior Lexus experience. I wanted a good indy is because I know people don't understand how to properly drain and fill the transmission. Doing it by the book takes longer (see TechInfo service manual), but it ensures that you deal with a possible underfill/overfill from the factory. The incorrect way is where some techs will drain the fluid, measure it, then put the same amount back. I didn't ask how Sijin did it, but he mentioned he needed to wait for the car to get to the right temperature. Pretty sure that meant he needed to check the fill level at a specific temperature, which is how you're supposed to do it. read more

Jin's AutoCare should be your go to for Auto repairs. Although the place seems a bit hidden, it is definitely a gem. Sijin is super nice & friendly. My girlfriend and I came in for a simple auto repair to fix her fuse for her car charger. We called various auto repair shops who kept suggesting high prices of over $100. However, when I called Sijin, he was clear, precise, and knowledgeable. His prices are definitely fair and affordable. When we got to the shop, Sijin was so nice and truly showed his enthusiasm on helping us fix his problems. He is easy to talk to and willing to help you find a solution. He was able to quickly solve our problem for an affordable price. On top of that, he also said if the problem were to happen again, we would get a discount in the future, but hopefully it doesn't haha. I knew I had a weak battery in my Lexus LS 460, but I neglected replacing it. I went out of town for two weeks, and got back with my battery completely dead. Sijin responded to my inquiry quickly and even came out to my location to swap the battery since I did not have time to jump it and drive to his shop. He not only replaced it with a Lexus OEM battery w/ warranty, but did it at a cost that was cheaper (including the cost to travel to me) than if I had went into the dealer. I actually did a quick price comparison on some of his charges for parts and they are indeed less expensive here than at other places!
