We were in a bind with a major coolant leak and called around locally. Yes we could've gone to the dealer but we are glad to have found a local shop to support small businesses. I got an estimate from a local dealership and compared it to Francisco's detailed estimate and I was saving over $250, **granted we were using aftermarket parts which isn't an option at the dealer**. With the economy the way that it is, we were happy to save money and get top notch service. It took a couple of days to get the car repaired (radiator and additional part replaced) but we got the car back looking super clean and fixed with a year warranty on the parts. I recommend FNP! My first time coming to Fnp auto was my senior year in high school. (2015) I came in to get my ac repaired on my civic and was hoping they could help me out. Francisco the owner did that and more. The way he runs his business is something I've never seen before from a mechanic. Eventually, there were some issues that even they could not fix, so I called FNP auto to make an appointment for suspension related issues. The Good: Honest person making a honest living doing what he loves to do. Francisco and Pearl are the F and P in FNP. I don't trust mechanics unless I can see what they are doing and they have a open garage and I can sometimes sneak a peak, heck Francisco will take me back and show me what's wrong and what might go wrong. He doesn't talk down to me because I don't know jack about cars or in this case trucks. He also will spend time answering my questions, which I have a ton of. The Bad: I think it's only him and maybe another mechanic at the shop so it's best to setup an appointment. The Ben: Francisco asked me how my wiper blades were doing and I thought, okay he's trying to sell me on things I don't need to make a quick buck. He looked at them and told me they were fine, I'm thinking okay maybe not, turns out I was the 300th customer and won a free pair of wiper blades.....score. He offers open communication between himself and his clients whenever possible and tries his best to assist his client(s) the best he can. Long overdue review. Had to dig up my Yelp login and it's all good because it's for a good cause. My wife attended a Yelp event here and we took the car in the following Saturday for a check-up. Francisco was very professional and handled our concerns very well. He explained to us what needed to be done and what we can expect. I'm not much of a car person but my wife is and she is in car club for both of our cars. I'm playing catch up and trying to learn more and going to FNP definitely helps. The service is very personal. We got our registration renewal (with smog testing requirement) about the same time the car was due for the 95k service. I scheduled an appointment over the phone, came in, got the service, and received a recommendation on where to get the car smogged. Francisco also made some recommendations and promptly emailed us a quote. It's not in our budget however so it will likely have to wait. Anyway, we definitely would be coming back here for regular maintenance services. He personally brewed a fresh cup of coffee for me as soon I walked in. Francisco and I discussed all the issues and concerns with my vehicle. After taking a test drive with him he drove me to my house so I wouldn't have to wait in the lobby while him and his team conducted an inspection of the vehicle. At last, I have found it. I found an honest-to-goodness, trustworthy, and friendly local auto repair and maintenance shop after many years of looking. FnP Auto and its proprietors Francisco and Pearl fit that bill exactly when I brought my car in for service today. I took my 2005 Infiniti G35 sedan in for its 90,000 mile service. Rather than taking it to the dealer (which i have been shamingly doing for the past several years due to not finding that trustworthy local shop), I fired up the Yelp app and discovered this place only 3.3 miles from my home. Five stars and over 100 reviews can't be wrong. I emailed Francisco asking for a quote and he came back right away with a detailed, computer-generated quote of the services that I requested, impressive. He even revised it for me when I had to remove a couple of things due to budgetary constraints. Fast forward to today, I bring my car in right when they opened (and they accommodated me at the last minute because I couldn't take in my other car for its appointment) and I was greeted by both Francisco and Pearl and their very friendly dogs Nigel and Bella. I instantly felt at home in their shop, with its homely and cozy waiting room. After filling out a form, I gave the keys to Francisco and off I went. I was there for only about 5 minutes. After a whole day with my family driving around L.A. and Chinatown, I get a call from Francisco around 4:45 p.m. saying that my G35 was ready. I arrive at his shop half an hour later and waiting for me was one of the most pleasant surprises I have ever experienced dealing with a mechanic. Francisco sat me down and patiently explained to me what they did today, as well as issues that they discovered. While doing so, he showed me photographs of said issues (with different angles) and explained, in layman's terms, what the issues were and whether they needed to be fixed right now or later. I never, ever felt sales pressure as I did when I dealt with the Infiniti dealer. Speaking with Francisco was like speaking to a long time buddy who happens to know a heckuva lot about cars. I can't possibly say enough good, wonderful, awesome things about this business. But I'll try! :) I was visiting my sister in Garden Grove when my "check engine" light came on. Keep in mind that I know nothing about my own car, other than the fact that those lights that come on alert you that something must be wrong. So I assumed the "check engine" light meant I needed an oil change. I searched for auto shops nearby and ended up calling FNP Auto on a Saturday morning. Francisco answered and was so friendly and polite on the phone. And the price was right! He quoted me $21.99 for an oil change. That definitely works for my grad student budget, so I drove in. I walked in to Francisco helping an elderly man and I noticed how professional and kind he was. I don't know why, but I'm very partial to businesses that treat elderly customers with respect. I have a soft spot for old people I guess. Anyhoo, when it came to helping me, he answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable about the entire process. I could tell right away that he was trustworthy. My car ended up needing hella things. One of my tail lights was out, which I knew already. My tire pressure was all messed up, which I kinda knew too (I was driving for months with the tire pressure light on. Because I am an idiot). And of course, I needed that oil change. Francisco did all these things for me quickly and efficiently. He explained everything he needed to do and it was all for an incredibly affordable price. Seriously. He even threw in free windshield wipers. HELLA cool guy! Overall excellent experience. I've never been to a shop that did its very best to ensure that YOU are taken care of just as well as your vehicle. If I had one word to sum up my reasons for my repeat business, it would be honesty. Francisco is so transparent with his services that you feel like you're standing in the service bay next to him. He takes detailed pictures and actually shows you what needs to be fixed. He'll remove worn parts and give you a side-by-side comparison next to a new part so you can see how badly your old parts needed replacement. Most importantly, he keeps you in the loop of his progress, so you always have a good idea of when the job will be done. The first time I came to FNP, I was so amazed at the level of service that I thought the next visit couldn't possibly live up to my expectation, but sure enough, Francisco went above and beyond. I left my daughter's shoe in the waiting room after getting my oil changed, and Francisco found it, looked up my information in his records, and emailed me to notify me of the missing shoe. He easily could have just thrown it in the trash or a lost and found box, but that he took the time to contact me shows how FNP goes the extra mile to take care of its customers. I think Francisco is a very good mechanic. The business model is different from other auto places with more of an emphasis in maintaining quality clients as I remember the owner explaining during my very first visit. Anyone who has been here can tell Francisco takes great pride and effort in his business. I've been going here for a while for various repairs. As a financial analyst I work with numbers on a daily basis. I also do cost accounting so I wonder how he prices his services and allocates his overhead cost . I have no problem with the service . I can say with 100% confidence I feel comfortable just leaving my car here, however the prices are just too much. I have negotiated every labor rate, well my brother has . I believe in this world everything is negotiable. Just sometimes the prices seems so ridiculous compared to other auto shops nearby , and the negotiated prices are dramatically discounted from the quoted price. For my last visit, the quoted prices are for cash transactions, not credit cards...which I don't recall that being the case in the past, and I have freakishly good memory . Though I probably will no longer come here, I still think it's a good auto shop.If your not burden with school debt like me and have no problem paying a premium, check this place out. read more

I took my Mustang here in late August for my 60k service and from the start Francisco made me feel comfortable. He was very informative about what work needed to be done and answered any questions I had. He even had donuts for me when I dropped off my car! My car was ready when he said it would be and when I picked it up he went thru everything that was done & also upgraded my oil change to synthetic but only charged me for regular. Definitely the best mechanic/auto shop I've been to. I will be going back for any of my auto service needs in the future. One gripe I will mention is he said he would research an issue I had with a clicking noise behind my dashboard and would contact me however I never received a call or email regarding the issue. Went to have my car serviced a year ago and have just gotten around to write this review. Its been a crazy year. My bad Francisco. It all started with a check engine light. Usually for car related items, I would take my vehicle to a local shop. Not wanting to risk it with something as serious as a check engine light I decided to go to the dealership. The dealership tried to use very subtle scare tactics to use them for repair immediately. I immediately felt they were trying to get way more money out of a simple service. Using the power of the internet I was able to find out exactly what the error code was, the potential cause and fixes, parts needed and pricing for parts. Armed with this knowledge, I asked my social circle for recommendations and one person referred FNP Auto. Immediately yelping the business I was amazed at all the 5 star reviews. Initially I thought this was impossible. I read every single post and hoped for the best. Minutes later I called and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a smile and a welcoming attitude. Francisco was in the process of working on another customers vehicle so I waited. Looking around the comfortable waiting room, I could tell Francisco LOVES what he does and is great with people. To provide some background, I had previously been taking my vehicles to another mechanic who was pretty good. However that mechanic only worked on Japanese vehicles and I needed someone who was able to work on my truck. The service I got with Francisco was so impressive that I started bringing my other vehicles here as well. These are some of the highlights of Francisco's service that stand out to me (in particular as I drive a few older vehicles.) When having a vehicle inspected, Francisco will frequently provide emails with images of the issue as well as anything else that may be important. Additionally, while most shops will try to up-sell additional parts that may not be required yet, Francisco will typically provide a list of additional work that may be needed at some point, and will provide honest feedback as to the probable lifespan of the existing component. When replacement parts are needed, Francisco goes out of his way to research different part options i.e. dealer, refurbished, off-brand, and has also offered to install parts that I supplied. I am well aware that I'm not a professional, and really appreciate the fact that Francisco is cool about things and doesn't feel the need to put on airs. All of this equates to a zero pressure environment where you can go, ask questions, and get your car working correctly again. When I first started coming here, Francisco was in the smaller unit next door and had time for "walk-ins." Now he's in a larger unit and you will probably need to make an appointment for your car. To me this says a lot about the quality of his service and the way he treats people. If there's one thing that is difficult to find, it's a great mechanic/auto shop. People refer them to you but usually based on somewhere where they got a "good deal". Rarely does someone refer you to a place that really took care of them. Well if you've read any of the reviews here, you know this place is different. My daughter is driving a 2007 Ford Taurus and about a month ago, a squealing noise started from the engine. We took it to our regular shop that we were referred to by family and $100 later had a new belt in the car. The problem is that a week later the noise was back. I decided to do my own research and found FnP to have unbelievable reviews! I told my daughter that we'd give them a try. The experience was unlike any I've ever had at an auto shop. Francisco is great! Very knowledgeable and able to explain things in laymen's terms. They do full diagnostics on everything you can ask for and provide the results and pictures of recommended work. Quotes are detailed and listed by importance. He explained that the squealing was from an incorrect sized belt being used. He also explained the rest of the recommended work that we will definitely be having done over the next few months. Great service, great hospitality and fair prices. Quick comments: great customer service, quick and efficient, fair price. It's located in a plaza, and on the left side when you turn in. Service: I literally drove up and walked in, asking if they could an oil change ASAP. When I talked to Francisco, he was friendly. I asked if they could service my car right away, and after checking the schedule, he said they could. That impressed me, especially how they responded amicably to my rushed request. Service was stellar - they said they take care of you from beginning to end, and they certainly do. Objective evaluation of the car was given, along with honest and detailed explanations upon any questions asked. Oil Changes Offered: They offer two kinds of oil changes - full synthetic and a synthetic blend. Setting/Ambience: The waiting area is very clean; offers water and snacks; free wifi.
