I was scammed out of $473. On March 13, 2026, I took my car to Sunrise Automotive to get my check engine light fixed so I could pass my inspection. They charged me over $473 and claimed the issue was repaired. The very next day, the check engine light came back on. I returned my car more than five times because they told me the repair came with a 1-year warranty. Every single visit, I waited over 7 hours, only for them to clear the check engine light, tell me it was fixed, and send me on my way. As soon as I drove off, the check engine light came right back on. Today, I took it back again, and instead of honoring their warranty, they told me I now need to pay for additional repairs. I paid over $473, wasted more than 35 hours sitting in their shop, and my original problem still isn't fixed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sunrise Automotive. If you choose to do business with them, do so at your own risk. You have been warned. read more

The owner Trevor charged $95 for diagnostic fee before fixing anything and had my car overnight without fixing it for days. And there are overnight fees. He's not honest. I'm sorry. I would never recommend this place even with its fake 5 star reviews. He doesn't seem to know much about cars and has cars sit on his lot to accrue overnight fees and overcharges ppl and does a horrible job. I'm sorry. This place isn't honest. Steer away from this place. Save yourself some headache and energy. Or how about this? If they don't know how fix or don't want to work on the car, just turn the customer away instead of giving false expectations that they know how to fix it. If they keep your car overnight.... So, when my car stopped on the freeway and I was atleast 1.5 hours away from my personal mechanic, I wasn't too happy with having someone else look at my vehicle. I had my car Misdiagnosed at another shop so and I didn't believe it so I took it to sunrise auto. They was referred by my tow truck driver at AAA.. They figured out my problem quickly at it only costed a diagnosing fee and that fee can be deducted towards that repairs too. I saved 5800 . Other shop said I needed new engine. Brought my car here for the first time at 9am to get a rubber injector grommet since I had a small fuel leak nothing too crazy they then told me it might be my fuel injector that they'd let me know when they find out! As she was quoting me for price she kept answering phone calls the whole time and I just stood there waiting to be told how much I might be spending and they had already started working on my car while she was doing the quote and before I signed anything too so I couldn't really back out after hearing how much the price could be. They told me they would let me know what the problem was once they start taking stuff out fine fair enough. I went home and received no call update or anything, so I decided to call them at 12 to see what was going on with the car. When I called she told me that they where waiting for the part so she didn't even call me to tell me that it was the actual fuel injector but whatever I'm already home and they're working on it I can't really do anything anymore. I asked about how long it would take and all she told me was she didn't know and that the guy bringing the part should be here any minute and that she would keep me updated. I hang up and just waited around no call, so I call back again at 3:30 to see what the update is and she had told me they had just started working on it :| bruh. I hang up again and just wait around call me back at 4 and when I picked up my car they told me they didn't test drive it because it was too loud and that my car was way too low, my cars on air suspension all they had to do was pump it up! I then see that my bumper was messed up worse than it was! They didn't even tell me! I had to stop by the park next door to check it out! a whole cable was sticking out of it and I now have 3 codes on the car!! And since they finished my car right before closing I couldn't even go back! I Came to fix one problem and left with even more do not recommend bringing your car here read more

I have a cracked serpentine belt in by car. I know I need to replace it today so I called this place based off of a reference where I'm getting my oil changed. I couldn't make it past the person on the phone. I was literally just trying to get a price check and availability so I can go there as soon as I was finished with my oil change. The lady who answered the phone had attitude from the moment she picked up the phone--strike one. Next, I asked her if I would be able to get a price check for a serpentine belt. Her response, "well I can't do that unless I know what kind of car you drive." And this was in a matter of fact tone as if to imply I should know better. My response, "well I figured you would need to know that since that would determine the price."--strike two. I have her the year, make, and model of my car--and I had to remind her of the make because she forgot. She then asked me for my license plate number very rushed. I told her "I may have to step out my car. Hold on one moment." She then responded in a frustrated tone--strike three. I don't recall specifically what I said after this point, but I think I said something along the lines of her being too frustrated or forced and then I hung up the phone. I definitely hate when employees put their frustrations onto the customer. I'm there to pay for a service not to deal with your attitude. read more

I realized Trevor sold his business. I called to see if how much a minor service would cost for my car. The woman who picked up told me they couldn't quote a price unless they saw the car. Trevor use to give me ball park and was usually with $20-30 give or take. I didn't tell her that, but was direct in telling me with not quoting a price. Even the car dealerships quote a ball park price for oil changes, minor, or major service. Unfortunately, I will have find a new place to get my car serviced when I am in town. I was a 20-year customer, but when I left my work truck for service, Trevor told me he would start working on it the next day. After not hearing from him for a week I was concerned and gave him a call for an update. He told me that he had not started working on it yet and that I was pressuring him and said he was now unwilling to work on it and to take it off his lot. I had to ask a neighbor to take me to pick it up. Recently Sunrise Automotive had a management (owner) change and Robert retired leaving Trevor in charge. Since then they have gone downhill.
