OVERALL: 10/10. There is no better place to get poke in downtown/Belltown Seattle except for FOB Poke Bar. The prices are outstandingly cheap, the portion sizes are massive, the staff are courteous & friendly, and the quality of food is incredible. The only complaint I have is that there's usually not enough seating during the rush hour periods (around the lunch/dinner hours), however if you show up earlier or later, you'll be right at home. The line can get somewhat long as well if a deluge of customers try to all go at the same time - try to go during non-peak times to catch a break with respect to lining up. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 10/10. This place is truly "customization-friendly" - you can ask for a little (or a lot) of everything, or you can pick-and-choose what you'd like in your Poke bowl. My personal favourites are the Albacore and Yellowtail, but when either is out I'll usually get spicy tuna instead. You're also able to pick between salad greens, white, or brown rice - or, just for the heck of it, go half&half! (I love half-half with brown&white rice) The add-ons are unlimited (except for avocado, but I'm pretty sure they stopped selling that due to a shortage earlier in the year), which is great because I LOVE TAMAGOYAKI! 2) FRESHNESS: 10/10. Put it this way: My friends loved the quality *so much*, they begged to buy another bowl to bring to the airport for their flight home the day after, *because it was so dang good*. The quality of the ingredients are top-notch - the fish is cut the morning of, the vegetables are constantly restocked, and the rice is always the perfect temperature, and never smells over- or undercooked, or burnt in any way. 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 10/10. I cannot recall ever being able to 100% finish a regular-sized poke bowl here (and I love me some poke, don't get me wrong there!), but come on - $11 after tax for a MASSIVE poke bowl? (sometimes bigger than the "large" portion at other places) Count me the heck in. 4) SERVICE: 10/10. I'm pretty sure the original folks that used to work here remember me, but some of the newer employees don't know me as well. These folks are **awesome** - I can't recommend the service enough - they're always ready to recommend a new sauce flavour, or recommend what pairs well with others! 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 10/10. I've come here so often that I'm pretty sure if they had a loyalty program, I'd be on the leaderboard for "people who order Poke from here a lot". The lines are sometimes longer than average, but they go fairly quickly since there's usually 2-3 people building the poke bowls, and all of them are pretty fast at the "assembly line poke bowl factory" game. Hands down, this is the best poke place in Seattle - there may be an establishment that comes close (Just Poke), but this one will always win my heart over for how great the quality of food is, how fantastic the prices are, and how amazing the folks that work here are. read more

One of my favorite pokes spots in Seattle! With super large portions and delicious/fresh tasting toppings, what's there to hate? They have a super large selection of toppings so come prepared! I'm also very glad they have a cooked meats option as most poke spots do not have that. Parking however is hard to find. read more

Such a gem! Friend said it's good place and she has always wanted to try! So glad we came in here. You build your own. Pick your base and add your mix then protein then sauce and topping. You can pick multiple in any of the step. You could potentially get a huge bowl yes. We got a salad bowl and a protein bowl. read more

The best sushi in the world. Amazing staff--always kind, cheerful, and attentive. Highly recommend! Their sushi is delicious everywhere, but the quality of the staff isn't the same everywhere. Only in Seattle do they have great service; in Bellevue, dealing with the staff is unbearable. read more

This place has such value for all that you get!!! It's a nice walkable distance from the Pike Market too. Definitely recommend this place. The Fob rice is really good and the fish tasted fresh with good texture. The toppings that you get that were included in the regular bowl price was insane! I've never seen that in California. Normal crab salad, spicy crab salad, and seaweed salad were all included in the toppings, so that was great! Also, they have watermelon radish, which I have never tried before but definitely recommend you get it if you like the yellow daikon radish. Overall, it was so good for the price and very filling! :) read more

Always get poke from this place when I come to Seattle. In the two times I have been I'm yet to be disappointed for the price. The build your own menu has good options, suggest the tuna and add in avocado even though it is extra. read more

Very good service and clean environment. If you compared with the Poke here with other restaurants, you would found out its size is much bigger. Not only of this, they have different types of sauces and coconut rice that you should try it out. Moreover, you could get as many kinds of side dishes as you want, and only a few of them would be charged by extra price. Also, next to the place where places chopsticks and forks, you could help yourself to get free miso soup. Parking is street park, and it is somehow hard to find during weekend and dinner time. read more

I haven't been here in awhile, so I decided to give them another chance after two back to back disappointing encounters. I looked on their Facebook page and they had a statement saying that they were open during this pandemic, but they were only offering takeout or delivery. I took a drive down there and I got there at around 8:15 PM, just to find out that they were closed! Their normal closing time is 10 PM, but they are now closing at 8 PM until further notice. If you're going to release a statement updating your customers on your new takeout only policy, why couldn't you add your new hours into the statement too? I drove all the way down there from Greenwood, just to end up driving back. They've gotten so big, that they don't care when it comes to the little details anymore. Super disappointing and frustrating. read more

Love this spot. They're super stingy with the scoops of meat - it's always half a scoop but whatever they load it with other stuff. It's located in the worst part of town so beware, but service is quick so do 3 minute loading and run in to pick up. Everything tastes very fresh. read more

I didn't realize I hadn't written a review yet for this place. FOB IS THE ULTIMATE VALUE. If you're tryna get a poke bowl but can't decide between the different places downtown, stop looking around on Yelp AND GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE. Fob is SO good, CHEAP, worth!! Fob poke has saved my life so many times when I've run out of groceries or am way too lazy to cook. When my friends come over to my apartment, most of them always make a pit stop by fob first because they love it so much and don't live near one. Okay why is it so good? The seafood is fresh, their fob rice is delicious, there are a lot of sauces that you can mix and match, there are SO many toppings to choose from, and if you really want that extra scoop of something, you just gotta ask. The employees here are soo so nice and EFFICIENT. They are quick and good at what they do!! By the time you head out the door, your bowl is extremely heavy (well mine is because I eat too much) and you know you're gonna have a good day ahead of you. Also if you live around Fob, I suggest you download the clover app and starting checking in every time you pay for a bowl because you get a free bowl after you get ten stars... And tbh, it's really not that hard to achieve if you live nearby and have no self control. read more

When I saw this 5-star poke place on yelp, I had to take an Uber from my hotel and try! As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted and asked how my day was going. You can pretty much customize anyway you want. What's really cool about this place is that you can put unlimited toppings. The only thing they charge extra is an avocado. I had yellowtail and ahi. Ahi was really good but yellowtail was not as fresh as ahi. I really love their green tea and coconut infused rice and fried garlic and onions on top. They have free WiFi, clean bathroom, great service and food. What more can you ask for? read more

From SoCal here, wow this place is amazing! Walked here after the Space Needle & MoPop (nice 15min walk) and I'm so happy I did! The musubi was nice and warm. Holy toppings, Batman! If you like to bury your poke under a bunch of toppings and sauces, this place is for you. This was one of of the first poke places I tried in Seattle before the poke craze consumed this city. I just love how customizable the bowls are here. I don't know any other poke place that serves so many toppings. Normally, it's your standard crab salad, edamame, and a handful of other add-ons. However, this place has way more like watermelon radish, roasted corn and jicama to start. Also, besides white and brown rice, they have an original rice infused with Coconut and Jasmine Green tea called FOB rice. The texture is softer than the white rice, but you can taste the fragrance of the rice. As for the poke, I'd rank it a slightly better grade than your average poke shop in Seattle. I got the Salmon and Mashed Spicy Tuna and both were good. I'd order this again. However, I might want to try the Seared Salmon next time. Not often do poke places have Seared Salmon as a choice of protein. Overall, if you're craving some poke in Belltown, you can't go wrong with this place. It's a great value for $9.99. I can see how it gets packed during lunchtime. read more

Ooo! FOB Poke Bar is now my new favorite poke spot! 1) it's the most affordable around seattle 2) they have a bigger selection as far as toppings & protein 3) plenty of seating & staff is super friendly! I ordered the regular with their coconut+tea infused jasmine rice, ahi tuna & salmon with tons of toppings. IT WAS ONLY $11 after tax.... That my friends, is CHEAP! Well, if you account for the $3/hour parking then maybe it's average but it's a great place for lunch or dinner. Would highly recommend! read more

Really delicious poke bowl. Really friendly staff. Appreciated that the water dispenser had at least five different kinds of fruit diffusing in there- tasty! I put on almost all the toppings- I wouldn't do the crab salad again, it was the straw that broke the camels back in terms of how many flavors I could fit in one meal haha. It's on the sweet side and heavy on the mayo. Between the four proteins we had in our two bowls, the favorites were ahi tuna and salmon. Great texture and flavor. read more

I would consider this the OG Poke spot in Seattle. All ingredients are original, simple, similar to Hawaii, nothing over complicated like many new trendy poke spots. The vibe is similar to the mom and pop poke shops you'll find in Hawaii. The line is almost always out the door at lunch rush, but they power through and get out checked out pretty quick. read more

New favorite poke spot! They have a very sensible way to order where you pick your base (rice or greens), sauce, protein (tuna, salmon, etc) and then toppings galore! Love the huge selection of sauces and toppings. I tried the fob rice and fob sauce and ordered salmon with the spicy mayo and then basically added all the toppings. Not only was it a lot of food, but it was good AND surprisingly cheap relative to other poke places I've been. The only draw back is there is not a whole lot of seating inside so it can get a little busy around lunch and dinner time. Definitely, definitely coming back here and bringing friends! read more

One star for the product and 0 stars for lack of human decency. I was hoping to become a regular at this poke place since the first time I came here. Although it was quite noisy, I was ultimately satisfied with my poke bowl due to the various sides and multitude of options. The place gives a modern feel and is overall clean. Location is also ideal. My second time there? Worst experience I have ever had, ever. Jesus fucking christ. It was very noisy the second time around and I had to yell my order (not the woman's fault that she couldn't hear me with all the noise), but when my bowl was done and paid for, I noticed that she had gotten white rice instead of brown rice. I've had poke at least ten time the past three months (Fish Guys, Hiroshi's, Poke Fresh, Sushi Burrito, Just Poke, etc.) and this is a common mistake that's always simply solved. No one was at the counter, so I went up and asked the woman if I could have the brown rice (she could dump my toppings onto a bed of brown rice or give brown rice on the side as this is what usually happens). This is when the woman started to AGGRESSIVELY YELL at me, stating that I was wrong for ordering the wrong rice (this went on for about three painful minutes). I was in shock, frozen, until I thought that there might be some miscommunication (she had a strong accent and I know my parents struggle a lot with language barriers so I assume that it would be very frustrating for her too). I told her that I wasn't trying to blame her for the incident, and she was at least no longer yelling after that, but when I asked about the rice, she just said no in the most passively aggressive, hateful possible manner. Yikes. I don't mind the rejection- I could have watched her create my bowl more carefully on my end, but the utter disrespect and lack of courtesy was just disgusting. Her screaming and yelling towards me almost made me tear up and it was really embarrassing, getting scowled that way in a public area. I never understood the impact of poor customer service. My favorite poke place! The only con is how far it is from me :( They have a massive selection of toppings and bases. You can go crazy and get all the toppings or keep it simple and only get a few but either way the toppings and base are included in the price except for a select few like avocado and eel. Amazing quality, portion size, and price! Must try! read more

FOB Poke was recommended to me by some colleagues while I was in town for a business trip and I can see why they had such high recommendations for it! The ability to customize your meal with high quality products and fantastic flavors was quite impressive. The are also very quick even during the busy lunch hours and it all comes at a reasonable (for a downtown metroplex city) price. They've got everything you want from a quick lunch place and a good balanced meal and lots of the little sunshine you can get in Seattle. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE BC THERES UNLIMITED TOPPINGS!! everything was so so so fresh, and the fish was so soft (I got salmon and yellowtail). we stopped here by chance because every other brunch place was too full, and it was amazing. we overheard a guy on the phone saying this was the best poke place in Seattle and I haven't been to any other ones, so I would agree. such a good price for unlimited toppings and the flavor combination was so yummy read more

This place is pretty good! The bathroom is a quirky bonus. I've been there on weekends around lunchtime, and the line has not been too long. Pros: - lots of toppings available for no additional charge - gluten free sauce options if you're sensitive - food tasted fresh - three different types of toilet paper to choose from in their bathroom - free mouthwash in the bathroom - delicious fruit-infused water Cons: - small space with limited seating (mostly stools by the windows) and only three tables - only one toilet I would definitely come back here anytime I want poke! read more

This place has been on my list forever after hearing the amazing reviews! My sister and I finally had a chance to try this place as we were in the area. We got the regular with salmon and tuna with the famous fob rice and spring mix. Got the orange miso and roasted sesame sauce. As for toppings, basically got everything non spicy as my sister can't handle the heat. The amount was pretty generous, similar to other poke places. I definitely like the different toppings they have, like jicama, watermelon radishes, etc. They are also very fresh which is definitely a plus. The fish was a hit and miss. Some of the pieces of tuna we got was good, and some was not, a little soft and slimy?? The rice, to me was nothing special so I don't know what the rave was. I can only taste a little of the matcha, but no coconut and the rice is hard and dry... Service is really spot on. They were pretty patient with us deciding on what we wanted. The lady was also nice when I asked if I can get jalapenos and ginger on the side and gave me a pretty generous portion. I also really like that they have miso soup and hot tea and water for customers, it's a nice touch. Overall, this is a good poke place, I would come back If I'm in the area. But not spectacular enough for it to be my go to area. read more

Been following all the high praise here and decided to give a shot myself - building my own regular sized bowl. Agreed that unlimited toppings (?!?!) is absolutely amazing. The salmon is my favorite of the proteins - *so* fresh and definitely try the FOB rice. Don't know what more you can ask for - fresh, fast and well worth the price, an uncommon trifecta in the downtown area. read more

Came here for a weekday dinner around 9pm. I ordered regular portion with half spring mix and half arugula. Protein: salmon, spicy tuna, and eel (+$2). Toppings: everything. So GOOOOOD!!!!!!!! Not exaggerating but definitely the best poke I've ever had. Everything's so fresh and delicious. I'm usually not a big fan of mango salad but their mango salad definitely hit the spot! I also loved their sweet tamagoyaki and jicama. Yes they have tamagoyaki & jicama!!! Another bonus is their organic tofu. I rarely saw any poke place offers tofu as a topping but they do and it's a great add-on. Two more perks about FOB: 1. besides the regular sauce you add to your poke bowl, you can have one more dressing for your salad. At the other poke places I've been to, the salad base barely gets any of the poke sauce that's poured in in the end, which made it really hard to finish those rabbit food - everything (sauce/protein/toppings) are gone. But here with the extra salad dressing it's so much better! 2. They offer legit hot tea!!! For free!!! As you can tell I'm totally in love with this place. Definitely coming back. Summary: great portions, good prices, tasty food My group was coming from Barry's bootcamp, and we were all starving! We decided that poke, with all the fish and veggies, would be relatively healthy. I mean, hey it's *basically* salad right? So I got the large (3 scoops of protein) with 2 salmon and 1 tuna. The service is very fast and friendly, and they give you very generous portions. Even though I started out super hungry, I was pleasantly full after a little over 2/3 of the bowl. Definitely going to come back if I'm ever in the mood for poke. read more

Pretty decent poke. Pricing is decent and a two scoop is pretty filling. I got the tuna and salmon and they were both pretty fresh and good. They have a bunch of toppings so I kind of got everything I wanted and it all mixed pretty well. The bowl also stores pretty well overnight and tasted pretty similar the next morning. read more

Fresh poke and generous portions for the price! We came here during COVID so they're only doing take out. They've done a great job of keep it clean and safe. Okay let's talk about the unlimited toppings. Holy mother.. it was so much deliciousness I could've made 2-3 meals out of it. Fish is fresh, service is quick. Believe the hype !! I came here for a quick dinner with some friends and I ordered the 2 protein bowl and chose all of the house options (FOB rice, FOB poke sauce). I chose salmon and yellowtail and they both tasted fresh and delicious. The best part of the bowl was being able to choose any and all of the toppings, from crabmeat and seaweed salad to fried garlic and furikake. I ate the whole bowl in one sitting and I think it was pretty filling, and I would definitely come back again! read more

This place was FABULOUS! I walked in on a weekday evening - no line. They have signs posted to help explain the process and your selection options - this is like the higher quality version of Jimmy Johns for Poke. 5 stars without a doubt. My favorite goto place for Poke in Seattle. This place has never disappointed me, ever. Every item that goes in the bowl is fresh and yummy. They have huge selection of ingredients to choose from, much better than elsewhere. My favorite protein is spicy salmon and ahi. The crab meat is a free topping and it comes in two variety, spicy and non-spicy. Spicy personally like the spicy one. Poke souce and the spicy mayo are good too and they compliment the food really well. The sitting area is limited, there are just 2-3 tables where groups can sit together. Mostly there are bar stools. Good for 1-2 people. It also gets crowded during peak lunch time. The staff does good job at moving the lines faster though. A highly recommended food joint. read more

If you've ever been to Chipotle or Qdoba, then you're familiar with the dynamics of building your own bowl. First choose your base, which here is just salad or their many varieties of rice. I suggest trying the FOB rice (coconut and green tea infused rice). Then your proteins! Can't go wrong with salmon and tuna but they have shrimp and other fish. Sauce is a must! And toppings are all included so don't be shy, only the avocado is extra! Don't forget the furikake! Established in 2017.

Poké (poke-keh) originated from Hawaii, and it means "to cut". Basically, cut fish. Hawaiian Poké is a delicious "fish salad", known for its flavors and freshness, but as Poké migrated to the western land, we make our own twist to the traditional Poké. Our FOB Poké bowl tells a story of how this traditional Hawaiian salad meets the western culture and is changed by it; we tell a story about how fish meets rice. We believe that each bowl our customer makes tells their own story. Whether it be a salmon lover or a tuna lover, the variety of stories are endless, and that's what is interesting about mixing your own Poké bowl.

I'm not much of a poke person. I do go at have some with friends now and then, but I am not CRAZY about it. A few days ago, my friend (who is crazy about poke) insisted on going to this poke place in Belltown. Since it was so close to the University of Washington, we just took the light rail there. We got on at U of W station, got off at Westlake station, walked for five minutes, and we were there. I started off by picking a bowl. A regular bowl, with 2 scoops protein for 9.99 or a large bowl, 3 scoops of protein for 12.99. Looking at the customers before me, a regular bowl was more than enough for me. As for the base, I recommend the FOB rice. It has this satisfying feeling on your tastebuds, maybe because matcha and coconut infused rice has that affect on tastebuds, or maybe it's just me. Moving on, I had a slight cold and an upset stomach that day, so I tried to stay away from raw food. Therefore, I got the beef tataki and seared Ahi Tuna. When it came to the sauce, there were so many to choose from and I am very indecisive, therefore, I asked the staff to surprise me. He said to use the house special sauce, the FOB sauce. So I listened to him and have no regrets to that choice, even till this day. I didn't go too overboard with the unlimited toppings. I got tamagoyaki, edamame, crab salad, masago, and the mango salsa. Ok. Since I made such a long story. I'll just explain what I thought were highlights of the place. -The price! 9.99 of a bowl with 2 scoops of protein AND unlimited toppings?! YES PLEASE! From all the poke joints I've been to, they charge more for 2 scoops of protein than what FOB Poke Bar charge. Not to mention, the portions are more than enough to fill you! -They seem to have a lot of choices. I saw they also had tofu, A LOT of leafy greens, and of course, their toppings. -The convenience. It's actually really close to the Westlake station, and really convenient for people who use the light rail often, like me. -The quality is on point at such a nice price. The fish, although I had mine slightly seared, are really fresh according to my friend. There's no fishy aftertaste, she says. I've tried that in seattle by far, although I haven't tried that many yet. First off, the amount of meat you get for $9 After tax is insane. The general meat spots portion size across the country is a lot less than what this Bar gives you. Second, the amount of options and the freshness of not only the fish, but the toppings is superb. For toppings, I'd recommend the seaweed salad and the crabmeat, as well as anything else you like to eat!. There are so many combinations that I want to try still. FOB Poke is hands down one of the best poke places I've ever experienced! The ingredients are incredibly fresh and reasonably priced. Although this location is quite small and can get busy, the wait is absolutely worth it. The poke is not only healthy, but they also offer a wide variety of proteins, from raw, fresh fish to cooked options. I am a big fan of Poke. I took my girlfirend here for her birthday and she really loved the place. The ambience, the atmosphere and the service was great. I wouldnt say that the place was too expensive but wasnt cheap either. It was moderate given the fact that poke isnt a very cheap food of choice. It doesn't matter how big your appetite is; a large poke bowl with all the toppings will leave you feeling full. I've come here several times, and each time the fish is always fresh and tasty and the toppings and sauces complement the fresh fish flavor very well. The salmon, tuna, and scallops are my favorite proteins, and the green tea-infused FOB rice is superb. Plus, avocado is only 50 cents extra. read more

The best is still Seattle Fish Guys I think, but these guys have a pretty good and simple selection (I hate how complicated it was at other places). A new poke place in beltown. Out of curiosity with the line, deciding to give it a try. No fishy aftertaste, fresh seafood and I can fix my bowl just like what I wanted. I have been coming here for over 10 years. Its family owned and they know me by name. Every guest I've brought here has been blown away with how great of an experience this place has to offer.
