First time trying FOB poke bar, but would definitely come back! Delicious and fresh + customized to your tastes! Generous portions and unlimited toppings with a variety of sauces adds to the tastiness. The servers were also very helpful and patient in explaining how to build your bowl. We were happy with our $9.99 Regular 2 scoop (of protein) bowl! The food at FOB Poke Bar is so fresh. There is so much variety to choose from and it all tasted really good. When I first started ordering, it was a bit confusing and it didn't help that the employees were all so soft spoken that I couldn't hear anything they were saying until they repeated it 3 times. But once I finished putting together my bowl and started eating, I was very pleased. I'm not a fan of raw fish so I love the fact that they offer cooked foods (including chicken) as your protein. I got half FOB rice and half chips but really should have gotten all FOB rice. The chips were regular tortilla chips but the FOB rice was really good. I also really enjoyed the crab meat I had in my bowl. It's an amazing deal that you could get a regular-sized bowl with unlimited toppings for $10. The portions were very generous. I got a regular and it was plenty of food for me. I didn't finish everything and I was starving when we first got there. I definitely didn't need the large but that too is a great deal since it's only $3 more. I'm also super psyched that they don't nickel and dime you for adding things into your bowl. Unlimited toppings are included in your $10! Plus, all the ingredients look so vibrant and fresh, no matter what you get in your bowl, it's pretty Instagram-worthy. I really wish they had a place like this in Southern California. I'd be here all the time if I lived nearby. read more

I knew that this was going to be delicious before I walked in :) Seattle and seafood, right? The portion size was definitely generous and the fish was fresh. The ordering process was pretty straightforward - you basically choose the base of your bowl, proteins, mix-ins, etc. in different stages. I will say that I was mildly confused for a second because you have to read the direction signs from right to left (which makes sense because you start ordering on the right side of the counter, but I just always read signs left to right). Anyway, overall, was very happy with my food here and would definitely come back. read more

When it comes to raw fish, I've always steered clear, but one day I was feeling adventurous and decided to order a Mealpal salmon poke bowl from here. Unlike some other places, FOB actually had my bowl ready for pickup when I got there. They were generous with the portion size and amount of toppings. My favorite part was the mango, which was ripe and delicious. It really completed the bowl and made it all the more refreshing on a hot day. Even after eating this poke bowl, I'm still a little hesitant about eating raw fish (mostly because of the texture), but I could tell the salmon I had here was of good quality. read more

One of the best poke spots I've been to. You can literally taste the freshness in the fish and ingredients. I recommend the seared ahi tuna which was incredible, as well as the salmon. I thought the crab salad was particularly tasty as well. The edamame and corn add a hint of sweetness to round out the flavors. FOB Poke Bar is my favorite poke spot in Seattle! This is one of the few poke spots around that have ingredients that are consistently FRESH. The portion sizes are pretty big. I can eat a lot of poke so the first time I visited I got a large bowl and couldn't finish it, so I always get the regular size now. There are ton of options for toppings which are all amazing. I'd highly recommend getting the FOB rice base. I love how efficient it is to order food there, even if there's a long line it moves quickly. read more

FOB Poke is one of the best poke places here in Seattle. I'd definitely recommend. They have a lot of toppings to choose from and offer both crab meats(spicy and non spicy) which is rare. The only two poke places you need to go to are FOB Poke Bar and Seattle Fish Guys. read more

This is NOT Poke. It's raw fish on a salad or rice. I selected what they refer to as "poke sauce" with hopes of some glimmer of resemblance to Poke. NOPE. An epic $12.99 + tax let down. I am sure the 4 1/2 stars are from innocent people who just don't know real poke. Oh well, at least I gave another place a shot. Will not be returning. read more

I was in town for a marketing conference and found this poke fast casual restaurant to be truly fantastic. Loved my lunch here! The fish is super fresh and there's so many great toppings to choose from. Such a steal for the price! Now I do think I may have went a little overboard with the amount of things I put in my poke bowl but it only made me want to come back and do it over again. For my bowl I mixed yellowtail and tuna with the FOB rice and a whole bunch of veggies. Very healthy yet filling, and fun to build, then eat! Though I haven't been to any other poke spots in Seattle, I know this one is legit. Thank you FOB Poke for a great meal! read more

I've been coming here for lunch for a while and FOB never disappoints. The fish is fresh, there are many unique toppings and the combination options are endless. They also work with mealpal and unlike other places, even on mealpal they pack the bowls with fish and toppings. The crispy onions, seaweed salad and mango salad are some of my favorite topics. Whatever you go with you won't be disappointed. The line gets pretty long during lunch so I definitely recommend avoiding the rush or doing mealpal. read more

This was easily the best poke shop I have ever been to and that is after trying at least a dozen places from LA to Miami to NYC and Texas. I had this place bookmarked and near the top of my list of places to visit because it was on Yelp's 100 list for 2018. I came around 1PM on a Monday afternoon and the line was to the back of the store. A handful of more people and the line would had been literally out the door. Do not let the line scare you though because it moves quick and efficiently. There are menus and directions on how to order throughout the store so you have an idea of what the options are as you wait and move through the line. Just like most poke places, you pick your base of rice or salad and go down the line like Chipotle and add on to your bowl. Off the bat, I knew this place would be different because they have their "fob" rice option, which was a green tea and coconut infused rice. You can see all your options through the glass window and I was just in awe at how fresh every ingredient was, especially and most importantly the fish! I went with the large portion bowl so I could get three scoops of protein, which I chose salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. I chose my sauces and added toppings as I went down the line. They had so many topping options and all at no additional cost. They had toppings and options I have never seen before for poke shops like the tamago pieces and spicy krab mix. I finally sat down with really high hopes and every expectation was exceeded. Each and every ingredient was truly fresh and flavorful. The textures and combinations of everything blew my mind. The fish pieces were large and so delicious. I have to also mention that the prices here are more than affordable, especially for how much they offer. My large bowl only cost $14. I have paid way more for way less (quantity and quality) at most other places. I was just so impressed with the entire FOB poke experience. My only regret was not returning for AT LEAST a second visit during my trip. They serve high quality and fresh food, but they are also creative with their options. The staff is super efficient in handling large crowds and maintaining a clean restaurant (both the food area and condiment station were spotless and organized). I really cannot wait to come back. read more

Convenient Belltown location of this FOB Poke Bar can serve with an amazing speed. One got to do research and exactly know all the ingredients that is desired in the meal. Before one selects step 1 The Base, the server at 2 Mix In is already ready to serve and do it continues with Steps of Protein, Sauce, Topping, Drink, Soup and method of payment and eat in or takeaway. It could be challenging if it's the first time or unprepared for the order. Next challenge becomes to find a seat. Then the third challenge- one got to manage mixing all ingredients in the bowl with the sauces! It's a great experience in a relatively small restaurant with long line of customers and limited seating. One of the best places in town as confirmed by several of my friends and acquaintances. This is our favorite poke place! We go here at least once a week. I live almost an hour outside of Seattle and I drive in just for this poke. It's incredibly fresh, the sauces are amazing, and the customization is fantastic. The staff is incredibly friendly and pays great attention to detail. They've gotten our orders right every single time. Additionally, the price is totally fair. It's definitely worth it. I'm so glad we decided to try FOB, it's become our favorite place to order from. read more

This review is for the location in Capitol Hill. I've been wanting to try this place out since I've heard it's opened in Capitol Hill. I'm a little sad I missed the grand opening party tho. I finally was able to stop by tonight. I got a small bowl with two scoops of salmon. First thing, I really enjoyed some of the unique things they had: - the fob rice (very cool that it's infused in Jasmine tea) -zesty mango topping (different but it worked!) -tamago (I was just very excited to have tamago in my bowl) -the seaweed topping in the initial steps of the order (it really held my bowl together and balanced the flavors) Overall- I felt that my bowl tastes good because there was a harmony between all of the toppings, the protein, and the rice- all of it worked really well together. To comment on the fish alone- I usually like to tastes the fish alone and I felt that the fish was fresh, but the flavor of the sauce that coatedit was a little lacking. It was a little flat and didn't have a ton of flavor, but maybe it's the subtleness of the flavor that allowed the bowl to work together well. No one ingredient in the bowl stood out over the other. I definitely have to return to try the other sauces! It's right by the streetcar stop and a few blocks south of the Capitol Hill light rail, so definitely easy to get to! Also a ton of seating inside. They also had fruit infused water when I was there. read more

Visiting Seattle from Northern California and was looking for an unpretentious place serving sashimi grade fish. Thanks to yelp, stumbled upon this wonderful build-your-own poke bowl place! For my 3 scoops of protein, I choose salmon, scallops, and shrimps. All the greens, mix-ins, and seafood were great quality, and the whole concoction came really well together and was super delicious. Excellent value for the price! Absolutely incredible meal! So much bang for your buck. I got the regular size which come with two scoops of protein. I chose raw yellowtail and raw tuna, both which had large yummy chunks. Then you get all the toppings you want for free. So I got edamame, tofu, tomagoyaki (all which are usually additional charge at other places), spicy crabmeat, masaco, daikon radishes, jicama, corn, mango, cucumber, seaweed, seaweed salad, ginger, and wasabi. And they have expanded options for the base which is nice so I did half greens half couscous/quinoa which was awesome. It definitely can be saved for more than one meal. I'd definitely go back. Fav poke place in Seattle! Love the hamachi and the FOB rice and unlimited toppings! I've had poke bowls from here numerous times but always as to-go or through delivery so never took advantage of the free tea or miso soup others keep talking about. Although not authentic but I like the concept of a large number of toppings and Fob has so many to offer. The fish tastes pretty fresh, especially in the morning. And you cant beat the price of a small bowl being 10 bucks (before tax) and perfect size for a meal without feeling over-stuffed. The fish quantity in small bowl is decent with all their toppings; some folks might find it less. Both Caviar and Amazon delivery overcharge the bowls by a dollar so might be better to place the order in person, in case of getting it to-go. read more

HUGE portions and extremely friendly staff! We stopped by for some takeout last week and the restaurant was entirely empty. No lines! I loved all the options and how fresh the fish and veggies were. Honestly the larger container lasted me 2 full meals and left me feeling perfectly satisfied. The scallops tasted a bit too fishy for my liking, but the raw tuna and ahi tuna were delicious. My only wish is that they also had a kale noodle option like my local Poke place. read more

This is the best poke place I've been too! As a vegetarian, it's hard to find a poke place that has good vegetarian options as protein bases. Most of the time I'm left with raw unseasoned tofu which leaves a lot to be desired. This was the first time I was given a different option - spicy beyond meat vegetarian alternative. This was a pleasant surprise and my favorite. I ordered a brown rice base, spicy Mayo sauce to go with everything. I loved the zesty mango salad and all of the topping options that they have at Fob Poke Bar. I ordered the cucumber, ginger, seaweed salad, wonton crisps and crispy garlic. Yum!! This is my new favorite poke place run don't want to try it out soon! read more

You have to fight for parking, or pay for it. I used door dash and got a pretty sweet discount. The protein was smaller than I thought but pretty fresh, had no issues. The seared ahi tuna is pretty tasty. Although poke is all about preference I don't think you can go wrong here. Great for workout days, packed full of good fresh ingredients of your choice, vegan and vegetarian friendly. read more

I would consider myself a poke connoisseur as I eat poke about 4 times a week and I love exploring all spots Seattle has to offer and so far, this spot is definitely in my top 5 favorites. Usually when you get poke they fit into 3 categories: straight up terrible, well done with a little too much sauce/flavoring, excellently (making up words at this point) done. I would say fob poke is definitely excellently done. The portions are good enough to fill me, and there isn't an overwhelming amount of flavor, it was a good balance to maintain the tastes of the raw fish while keeping the overall meal feeling fresh. The ingredients and sides are definitely of quality. Ive had slightly better quality of fish compared to some other spots, but it's good enough to where it doesn't take away from the meal. If youre looking to try some poke around Seattle, I highly recommend checking out this spot. Be aware that it does get a little busy around typical lunch hours! read more

Came in right when they opened and there were already a few people waiting. Good thing we beat the crowd because within minutes, there was a long out the door! The place got packed in no time. The menu was easy to order from and I liked all their options on toppings. They let me sample their coconut jasmine green tea rice and I thought it was yummy! The salmon chunks were huge and I loved it!!! Tasted fresh and yummy. They also have a miso soup dispenser.. I've never seen that before so that was cool. The price point was good here imo. Other places were a few bucks more. I will definitely be coming back here if I'm ever in Seattle again. Also, I'll always remember this place for having toilet paper options in the bathroom. I've never seen that before!! How cool. The toilet paper are marked on what brand they are hahah loved it. read more

always generous and fresh portions, my go to poke place in seattle :) i typically get a salmon bowl, 2 scoops is plenty of fish which i can't say for many other poke shops. a bunch of toppings to ensure plenty of sides to accompany your selection. i added unagi this time and it was cold which i was surprised by, felt like a bit of a shame because the texture was rubbery as a result but otherwise seemed like a solid piece of fish. read more

Great poke place. I really like their side toppings they have. The fish is decent quality and of average amount. They're very generous with the sides/rice amount. It's so generous that you can barely see the fish in the final bowl. It's almost kind of hard to eat since there's just so much stuff going on, which is great. The FOB rice they have is pretty interesting. It's coconut and green tea infused rice which is pretty unique. The taste is very subtle so it won't overpower any of the other elements of your bowl, but it's a nice addition to have. Definitely a place worth trying out. (They have 4 different kinds of toilet paper and mouthwash in the bathroom which I thought was pretty funny) read more

Established in 2017.

Poké (poke-keh) originated from Hawaii, and it means "to cut". Basically, cut fish. Hawaiian Poké is a delicious "fish salad", known for its flavors and freshness, but as Poké migrated to the western land, we make our own twist to the traditional Poké. Our FOB Poké bowl tells a story of how this traditional Hawaiian salad meets the western culture and is changed by it; we tell a story about how fish meets rice. We believe that each bowl our customer makes tells their own story. Whether it be a salmon lover or a tuna lover, the variety of stories are endless, and that's what is interesting about mixing your own Poké bowl.

It's the fact that the main door the employee use to go into the kitchen to give their orders to the cooks had cob webs on the top of the door.i mean everyone of them walk through that door hundreds of times throughout the week because I could tell it's been there for some time. Where's the food inspector, should be a concern because if it's there in full view of customers and employees, what else is happening as far as cleanliness at Kona Kitchen. I will be there within two or three days and wonder if the cobweb will still be a fixture there... it's something that is annoying because nobody's done anything about it. Amazing.

This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. I'm not much of a poke person. I do go at have some with friends now and then, but I am not CRAZY about it. A few days ago, my friend (who is crazy about poke) insisted on going to this poke place in Belltown. Since it was so close to the University of Washington, we just took the light rail there. We got on at U of W station, got off at Westlake station, walked for five minutes, and we were there. I started off by picking a bowl. A regular bowl, with 2 scoops protein for 9.99 or a large bowl, 3 scoops of protein for 12.99. Looking at the customers before me, a regular bowl was more than enough for me. As for the base, I recommend the FOB rice. It has this satisfying feeling on your tastebuds, maybe because matcha and coconut infused rice has that affect on tastebuds, or maybe it's just me. Moving on, I had a slight cold and an upset stomach that day, so I tried to stay away from raw food. Therefore, I got the beef tataki and seared Ahi Tuna. When it came to the sauce, there were so many to choose from and I am very indecisive, therefore, I asked the staff to surprise me. He said to use the house special sauce, the FOB sauce. So I listened to him and have no regrets to that choice, even till this day. I didn't go too overboard with the unlimited toppings. I got tamagoyaki, edamame, crab salad, masago, and the mango salsa. Ok. Since I made such a long story. I'll just explain what I thought were highlights of the place. -The price! 9.99 of a bowl with 2 scoops of protein AND unlimited toppings?! YES PLEASE! From all the poke joints I've been to, they charge more for 2 scoops of protein than what FOB Poke Bar charge. Not to mention, the portions are more than enough to fill you! -They seem to have a lot of choices. I saw they also had tofu, A LOT of leafy greens, and of course, their toppings. -The convenience. It's actually really close to the Westlake station, and really convenient for people who use the light rail often, like me. -The quality is on point at such a nice price. The fish, although I had mine slightly seared, are really fresh according to my friend. There's no fishy aftertaste, she says. A few days ago, my friend (who is crazy about poke) insisted on going to this poke place in Belltown. Since it was so close to the University of Washington, we just took the light rail there. We got on at U of W station, got off at Westlake station, walked for five minutes, and we were there. I started off by picking a bowl. A regular bowl, with 2 scoops protein for 9.99 or a large bowl, 3 scoops of protein for 12.99. Looking at the customers before me, a regular bowl was more than enough for me. As for the base, I recommend the FOB rice. It has this satisfying feeling on your tastebuds, maybe because matcha and coconut infused rice has that affect on tastebuds, or maybe it's just me. Moving on, I had a slight cold and an upset stomach that day, so I tried to stay away from raw food. Therefore, I got the beef tataki and seared Ahi Tuna. When it came to the sauce, there were so many to choose from and I am very indecisive, therefore, I asked the staff to surprise me. He said to use the house special sauce, the FOB sauce. So I listened to him and have no regrets to that choice, even till this day. I didn't go too overboard with the unlimited toppings. I got tamagoyaki, edamame, crab salad, masago, and the mango salsa. read more

I've tried that in seattle by far, although I haven't tried that many yet. First off, the amount of meat you get for $9 After tax is insane. The general meat spots portion size across the country is a lot less than what this Bar gives you. Second, the amount of options and the freshness of not only the fish, but the toppings is superb. For toppings, I'd recommend the seaweed salad and the crabmeat, as well as anything else you like to eat!. There are so many combinations that I want to try still. Here is a tip as well, I'd recommend coming pretty much any time except lunch time. The line moves somewhat quickly but it could definitely be a wait. read more

I'm so happy i found this poke joint in belltown. The staffs are helpful and friendly. This was my first poke experience and it was life changing.. everything there is super fresh and you have a large range of options you can build your poke with. There's a good amount of seating, not a whole lot but small groups is ideal. Definitely a great lunch joint to hit up when i'm search of something healty yet tasty Prices are on the right range around $8 to $13 if i remember correctly. Will come back for sure read more

FOB Poke is hands down one of the best poke places I've ever experienced! The ingredients are incredibly fresh and reasonably priced. Although this location is quite small and can get busy, the wait is absolutely worth it. The poke is not only healthy, but they also offer a wide variety of proteins, from raw, fresh fish to cooked options. I am a big fan of Poke. I took my girlfirend here for her birthday and she really loved the place. The ambience, the atmosphere and the service was great. I wouldnt say that the place was too expensive but wasnt cheap either. It was moderate given the fact that poke isnt a very cheap food of choice. It doesn't matter how big your appetite is; a large poke bowl with all the toppings will leave you feeling full. I've come here several times, and each time the fish is always fresh and tasty and the toppings and sauces complement the fresh fish flavor very well. The salmon, tuna, and scallops are my favorite proteins, and the green tea-infused FOB rice is superb. Plus, avocado is only 50 cents extra. read more

The best is still Seattle Fish Guys I think, but these guys have a pretty good and simple selection (I hate how complicated it was at other places). I have been coming here for over 10 years. Its family owned and they know me by name. Every guest I've brought here has been blown away with how great of an experience this place has to offer.
