Sirloin with collard greens and potato salad.

Excellent Brazilian BBQ food truck! First time trying them and I ordered the top sirloin with collard greens and potato salad. The flavor of the sirloin was amazing and it was grilled perfectly. The greens and potato salad were both great. Everything was perfect. Next time I'm getting the trio so I can just try everything at once.

Grilled Meat Trio - Top Sirloin, Linguica & Chicken - with Southern Style Collard Greens & Baked Mac & Cheese

Let's talk about soul!! I walked past this food truck on First Friday, in search of a slice of pizza. I went back and I was met with a cute line, menus posted in multiple areas, the nicest lady to greet me and take my order, a grill master lighting the place up, and a helpful young lady to give me my order when it was ready to go! My ordering process was easy and super pleasant, which I didn't expect due to the volume of people about. The food was A M A Z I N G! I screamed with joy, with every bite! I cannot lie, my friend laughed at me the whole time! The Grilled Meat Trio - Top Sirloin, Linguica & Chicken - was cooked to perfection! Every bite of every option was juicy and succulent! And the sides were definitely made from someone's family recipe because the greens tasted like home and the Mac and cheese was super creamy! Everything was 5 Stars! I'll definitely see yall soon! Cheers to amazing SOUL, I mean BBQ!

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

Since this location just opened a few weeks ago, we were excited to check it out. One of the newest features is that they now accept online reservations, which is a great addition since reservations were not previously available. This location can get very busy, especially on weekends. For parking, you have the option of valet parking for a fee or using the parking garage for free, which is a convenient alternative. When we arrived, there was a hostess outside who added our name to the waitlist. Our table was ready in about 25 minutes, which we were very happy with, especially on a busy Saturday evening. We were seated on the outdoor patio with the misters. Just a heads-up: the restaurant turns the misters off when the temperature drops below 90 degrees. Although there was a nice breeze that evening, we still would have preferred for the misters to stay on a little longer. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. For dinner, we ordered three of the grilled chicken breast entrées, a shrimp dish, a hamburger with fries, and a couple of cocktails. The chicken entrée normally comes with a cabbage salad, but due to the recent produce recalls, it was substituted with tomatoes. Guests also have the option to substitute another vegetable or side. I chose to substitute mine with fries. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, and everyone enjoyed their meals. The only area that could use improvement is the billing process. We noticed a service fee listed on the receipt, and it wasn't immediately clear whether it was intended to be the gratuity or an additional charge separate from the tip. We recommend that the restaurant and servers clearly explain this fee before guests pay their bill. Doing so would help avoid confusion and prevent customers from unintentionally tipping more than they intended because they believed gratuity had not already been included. Overall, we had a wonderful experience celebrating our birthday and wedding anniversary. The food, service, and atmosphere were enjoyable, and we look forward to visiting again.

For apps we got the lamb fondue which was super tender and unique. Dipping meet in cheese? Literally nothing better. Then we also got the green chili pork stew which is a MUST try! Not too spicy and full of flavor. Also, great for sharing as you fill it in the buttery tortillas. The filet was seriously one of the best I've ever had in Arizona. It has a nice shallot butter crust and it was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. This was a highlight. The pork chop is huge and has a nice sweetness to it. The meat wasn't dry either...it pretty much tasted like the best bacon I've ever had LOL Everyone must get the green chili Mac n cheese. Not spicy at all just Smokey and tangy and full of cheese but shockingly not that heavy. The pecan pie was unreal. Gooey and sweet but the crust was still super flakey. The brownie skillet was soft in the middle which is how it always should be. Their known for their frozen huckleberry margarita which is a treat in its own but it's not too icey they definitely don't skip out on the tequila. Rachel was our server. She's been there for awhile so you know that they treat their staff well. She was super knowledgeable and honest about certain menu items. I also spoke with the manager, Matt, who was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his restaurant (as he should be). Overall highly reccomend it here. Everything exceeded my expectations. The host told us that there was open seating along the wall or under cover outside. Since the wall was full, we ventured outside near the cooler. We were given water right away but didn't even see a server, Jessica, for 12 mins. We even had to ask her for menus. It was a very awkward start. My wife ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and a Caesar salad, plus wine while I got the 22 ounce Ribeye and a side of Poblano and PepperJack Grits, plus an iced tea. It all came to $137.11 plus tip. Our salad arrived in 8 minutes and our dinner 10 mins later. The salad was outstanding. Plenty of romaine, dressed with the right amount of dressing, 3-4 croutons and a mound of shaved Parmesan cheese. The salmon was really good, served with sautéed green beans and soy butter. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well and the grits were incredible. They were creamy, with pronounced poblano and Jack cheese. It was the perfect accompaniment. Jessica did a great job checking in on us during our meal but, again, it was awkward waiting 15 mins for her to offer dessert and check. We will return but perhaps not during happy hour, when it's very busy but the evening staff hasn't arrived yet.
