For a Monday night, with a lot of servers, there should be no reason someone should be waiting 20 minutes for a soda. What a disappointment!!!!!!! We went on a Sunday with a reservation for our daughter's birthday. 4 adults.... The first few minutes were great .... Then we sat and waited and waited and asked and asked again .....for several different cuts of meat that Never came out!!! Then our waiter comes over to tell us he's leaving .... Ok and???? My husband tells him again we were looking for several different cuts of meat that never came out .... Ohhhhh I'm off but I'll go check..... comes back shirt out of his pants and says you wanna order dessert?? My husband says are you worried about your tip?? We're still eating... We see him go and speak to a waitress .... She comes over to our table HANDS my daughter a menu and says you wanna order your dessert now??? My daughter says... I'm still eating .. We watch her go back over to our now off the clock clearly intoxicated waiter and out loud says my daughter is rude! Really.... We're still waiting for meat to come out ... why are you pushing us out? And....Never brought out the rest of the meat .. The man going around making drinks table side went to table next to ours never came to ours. Your wait staff is pathetic!!!!!!! And clearly have NOT been properly trained!!!!! My girlfriend and I visited the Fogo de Chao at 1400 Willowbrook Mall, Wayne, NJ 07470-6905 on March 16th, 2024 around 8:45pm and to say the service was horrible would absolutely be an understatement.  From the start of our experience when we arrived, we were completely ignored once we were initially seated. The hostess who sat us gave us our menus and said that our waiter would be by in a few minutes to take our order and then left.  This was a first for us as in the past and at all their locations that we had visited, the hostess would explain how everything worked and tell us about the specials for the evening before leaving. Now we were seated one table away from the waiter/waitress station where they go to print up and submit payment for your check and there were two employees standing there, a female waitress and a male waiter (he will be mentioned later in this post) who were joking and laughing with each other.  There were also two tables around us that were empty and did not have anyone at them at the time that we were seated. My girlfriend and I waited for around ten minutes, and no one took our order during this time.  Meanwhile, both tables around us were filled with customers and the hostess (different ones than ours) seated them and listed the specials of the evening to them and talked about how everything worked.  Both tables were then approached by their waiters and their orders were taken. One of the waiters even showed the other couple a short video to explain everything.  All through this we were never approached by a waiter at any time.  I looked at the waiter station and noticed the one waiter that was standing there earlier with the waitress laughing looking our way briefly before walking away.  I then approached another waiter and asked to speak to a manager about the situation.  This waiter said that I could speak to the waiter at the station as he was training to become a manager (the same one mentioned earlier).  I declined and asked for the manager in charge and was directed to another person on the other side of the restaurant.  During this time no one ever came to the table to take our drink order or at least let my girlfriend know that someone would be there shortly.  I approached the manager who did apologize and came over and took our drink order himself.  He had to come back a few times to ask about different substitutes for something that he said was at the bar and wasn't. We finally received our drinks, and the manager did check on us a couple of times during our stay to ensure we were served however no other waiter stopped by our table to do so.  We were never offered any refills of our drinks or asked by any wait staff if we needed anything else. In terms of the food, it was either overcooked or undercooked and definitely underseasoned on one side (if my girlfriend got meat from one side and I got meat from a different side you could taste the difference between our pieces when we compared similar cuts).  The only thing that did arrive on time was the check but then it took a while for them to come and take our cards and process our payment.  What we found funny however is the fact that they offered NOTHING for the terrible service and experience. We did not expect much but thought maybe they might take off the glass of house wine my girlfriend got or something as a small gesture.  Overall, this place was an extremely horrible experience and a black eye on the Fogo de Chao franchise.  We will never be returning to this location as we felt that we were treated quite differently than other guests that were there this evening. This was very disappointing! I love the Fogo de Chao in NY. This one had horrible meat! and did not have most of things that are supposed to have in a Brazilian churrasco (vinagrete, farofa) . Their salad bar doesn't compare to any of the cheapest brazilian's BBQ places in NY and NJ. Wasn't that packed and the service was mediocre, forgetting my orders and let us start our meals without even bringing our drinks or water. We paid for rodízio, but meat only came 4 times around while we are sitting there for 1.5h. This wasn't representing a Brazilian Rodízio or BBQ place and will bring the name Fogo de Chao down. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had! The food was absolutely stunning and mouth watering! I had to try everything that came around to the table! We went for lunch and did the full experience and I personally tried everything they brought to our table! The food was unbelievable! The service was absolutely fantastic, everybody was incredibly nice, friendly, and super helpful! The ambiance of this place was absolutely stunning and had an incredible vibe! One of the best experiences I've ever had for dinning. I went with the full experience option on the menu and it offered more than I could ever asked for. Food was outstanding and the service couldn't have been any better. The service had some of the best personalities and made sure I was always getting what I wanted. The interior very unique and beautiful. This was an experience that I don't think I will find anywhere else. I've never left a restaurant more satisfied than this and I will find myself there again very soon. read more

After our experience this evening, yes I will call it an experience, I was wondering how I should go about writing this review. I then realized, I could do it with just one word...tremendous. The food, tremendous. The market table, tremendous. The staff, servers, carvers and our waitress Carissa, tremendous. The drinks, tremendous. The ambiance, cozy yet relax and spacious. If I could give it 6 Stars I would. Even if my card was red, I was still offered whatever was coming my way and my water glass was always full. A lot of restaurants lately, in my opinion, have lacked what Fogo seemed to have mastered and that is providing an experience for the customer that wants to make them come back. Such an unpleasant experience we had yesterday at Fogo de Chao Wayne. For those who know Fogo de Chao in Brazil don't expect anything close to that. Overall the meat was not right (either overcooked or very undercooked), servers took too long to bring the meat, they were not trained and definitely not skilled to slice the meat at the table, they clearly didn't know how to explain the cuts and for more than one time served the wrong cut. The buffet was OK, but very limited options compared to the original Fogo de Chao in Brazil. In the end we had a very bitter surprise with the bill, being charged $68.5 per person as it was a dinner service BUT our reservation was for lunch (2 PM). Important to note that we did the reservation online where we checked the price and supposed to be $48.5 for a lunch service. So we felt very uncomfortable being ripped off. The summary is I fell ashamed to be Brazilian and being served a very poor quality churrasco and paying such a high price. I definitely do not recommend anybody to go there. TOTALLY OVERPRICED AND OVERRATED for very mediocre food and bad service. read more

Oh boy, what a completely disaster and disappointment that we experienced tonight. I like Fogo de Chao and I've been to several locations but this one being close to home, made the most sense instead of driving all the way to Manhattan (which by the way, it's great!). We had a 3 pm reservation and we were seated right away into a corner table. We placed our drinks order (3 cokes and water) and 15-18 min later they arrived. Another 10 min later, we got a few side dishes (mashed potatoes that looked like plastic and were completely flavorless); cheese bread; fried yuca and plaintain. The hot and cold bar is way limited compared to the one in NY, and many of these options had an almost empty plate (restaurant was not completely packed, more like 75% occupancy). I agree with many of the other reviews, they kept bringing over and over the same few skewers. Being seated into a corner table probably made a big difference because it was impossible to get anyone's attention at all: no soda refills, no skewers, dirty plates stacking on each other, and whoever waiter was assigned to our table, never fucking show up until the end. I wanted more meat, but food stopped coming to our table despite having the green sign. Meat was ok but lacked seasoning and some options were pretty flavorless. After we "decided" not to eat anymore (not because we wanted but because nobody was coming over to the table, and we HAD the green signs), we waited a good 25 minutes to someone to came and clean all the dirty dishes. And they came because I complained. Another 10-15 min waiting for this nonexistent waiter or someone else to come and ask/offer some desserts, and fucking nobody showed up. I saw a person that looked like a manager and I decided to go and talk to the guy. The only thing he offered was a discount and to "personally" take our dessert order. By then, everyone at the table just wanted to leave. This was a birthday celebration, and these people did an EXTRAORDINARY job fucking up our mood. Is very clear that this is not a Michelin restaurant but at the same time this is not an Ihop, and when you see people just standing doing nothing, it fucking pisses me off getting a shitty service. Firstly, I have to mention that I work for a top fortune 50 company and is often seeking out restaurant venue's to hold our corporate gatherings. I was overly excited when my Brother in Law suggested the above restaurant for our Sunday after church service meal. Myself included , this would have been a first time visit for 13 out of a party size of 14 of us. (3 generations) As a result of it being a large party size , reservations were made on the evening of Saturday , April 20th, 2024, by placing a phone call and speaking with a host from the restaurant. The request was for a reservation for Sunday, April 21st at 1:00pm for a party of 10-14 guest .The reservation was booked and confirmed on the evening of Sat. April 20th. Fast forward upon our arrival Sunday, April 21st at approximately 1pm; A host at the restaurant exclaimed in a very condescending tone, that the appointment was never made! Which clearly was not true , never would we ever gather this many family members to venture to a restaurant without an actual reservation made prior to the planning and arrival. The host finally admitted that the reservation was booked for 1pm on Saturday (wrong) this is an error on the host's part, ( You would think this would be an easy fix? Right?! ) an apology should have been expressed and seating should have been made readily available.(Right?) . Well wrong, this did not happen . We were met with not so great attitudes, as if it was our fault that they made a mistake. When asked to speak to manager it was ignored, the two young ladies did not seem to be interested in accommodating us, As a result we had to ask to speak to a manager a second time . This is unacceptable. While all of the discussions were taking place, I personally scanned the restaurant, And could clearly see that there were well over ample seating ; vacant and available. We were finally greeted with a manager , yet by this time a feeling of disappointment had already settled in . I noticed that the minimal customers that were there, were not of a diverse background . Unfortunately it felt like we were not wanted there. ( You can't help who doesn't show up to your restaurant , but for those who do show up, you can make sure that they all feel welcomed) The manager however did advise us that they were ready to seat us now. Too little too late. As I mentioned, we all were feeling uneasy about the whole ordeal and ultimately had to pivot and take our business elsewhere. Huge inconvenience, YES! However we couldn't let this deter us from enjoying our family time together. It is my hope that Fogo De Chao Brazilian restaurant , can right their wrongs. Create an atmosphere that is welcoming for everyone , own your mistakes and work to fix them. Customers should be your #1 priority. Kindness and professionalism goes a long way. You put out great business ,you receive great business. read more

We were a party of 2 and celebrating my husband's birthday. He had wanted to try this place ever since they opened. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The food was very flavorful! Now to the service... If it wasn't for Lucas, our entire experience would have been a 1 star experience and we may have walked out. Early on in our dining experience, we waited with empty plates for 5-10 minutes, servers kept passing us by with food on their skewers. We would flag someone down here and there, but the empty plate for 5-10 minutes happened twice. Finally after the second occurrence, one of the servers, Lucas, came by to serve us and mentioned that we looked upset and he had noticed our empty plates a few time. We explained our wait time and then things turned around immediately. Although we are thankful it all turned around, it should not have come to that. For the price of dinner, we expected the experience to be far better! read more

I really hate to give this new location 3 stars because I have high hopes for it, but I had to. First, I will say the drink menu has some really nice options on it and the drinks that we tried were all delicious. Everything went downhill from there. We ordered the seafood tower as a starter and it was completely unseasoned and bland. The only way to eat it was to drown it in the butter or cocktail sauce that came with it. The buffet didn't have as many options as other Fogo de Chao locations and not even close to some churrascarias that I've visited in Brazil. The actual food that was there tasted decent, but the amount of uncreative options left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was very friendly, but after the first maybe 30 minutes of dining, we never saw her again. We had to ask others for help or drink refills. No one actually came to check on us. The meat selection was very slow and the taste was hit or miss. We had a filet and sausage that was delicious, but everything else was overcooked or bland. Unfortunately we missed out on a lot because the guys carrying the meat selections didn't come out often and when they did, they seemed to constantly miss our table. We only got to try maybe 4 different cuts. I'm not ready to give up on them yet, but I'll wait a long while and see if their reviews improve before going back. read more
