My team and I decided last minute to try Fogo de Chão, and we were thrilled to get a reservation for 10 people at 5 PM! For many of us, it was our first time, and the excitement was high. We kicked things off with wine, espresso martinis, and margaritas--great choices all around. The buttered bread on the table was absolutely delicious and a perfect start. We all opted for the walk-around meats, but honestly, the vegetable table stole the show for me. It was so impressive, overflowing with fresh fruit, salad ingredients, breads, rice, sauces, pickles, and so much more. I could have made a whole meal just from that spread! Once the meats started coming around, we were wowed by the beautiful, perfectly cooked cuts. It was really fun that we could request different doneness and try various cuts right at the table. Our waiter was friendly and super quick with service, making the whole experience even better. We had the best time! I highly recommend Fogo de Chão for any group looking for a memorable meal and a fun, interactive dining experience.

Came in for a birthday dinner. As a pescatarian I didn't think I would have an option here but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the salmon dish which includes the market bar. (market bar would have actually been plenty by itself) however I was disappointed all the veggies in the bar were cold- cold asparagus wasn't for me! The bar did have plenty of offerings with my favorite being the smoked salmon, fresh cheeses , the egg salad & caprese salads. The salmon dish on the menu was good as well, after squeezing the lemon, I liked how it came with a crispy outter layer but it was not breaded! the grilled asparagus it was served with was also great! To drink we had the strawberry hibiscus drink which was only 10 $ and curated perfectly! Had a great time, all of the staff was friendly!

Fogo- I am writing you once again about my experience on Friday evening. I cannot believe I left your facility with so much rage and anger. I have never been treated so poorly. I have never felt such distaste and lack of professionalism when you were supposed to win me back. I was polite and direct with my last email. When we arrived at your restaurant I felt a sense of fear from the staff. The waiter was polite but I could tell something was off. Once again, we ordered drinks. It took almost 10 minutes for them to be served. We began the salad bar. Once again, with red coasters, the staff brought proteins and were trying to put them on the salad plates. I asked them for a clean plate, he looked at me very funny and walked away. A young girl brought us out fresh plates and put them to the side. She walked away quickly and did not offer to take the soiled plates. I had to call her back to the table and ask her politely to remove the others. I was at this point over my experience. I voiced my dissatisfaction to the waiter. He apologized and walked away. I am still in awe that a manager did not stop by our table with an active complaint. I know a manager was working but no one bothered to address the issue. I was fuming at this point. The waiter came back with a checkbook. I said, I refuse to pay any part and that he should consider working for a higher class establishment. I don't understand how you stay in business. I want my Visa card refunded the total amount from our 5/21/26 visit and for you to make this right. I am in utter shock of how your business runs. I am so disappointed that a manager was not available to assist in this horrid experience. Cordially, Patrick Pearson

Looks like the restaurant moved locations to a bigger and better spot. Love the decor, the service was impeccable, and the overall experience was incredible. Come to the all you can eat meats and bring your stretchy pants and appetite. I was able to try all the cuts of meat except the ribeye because I could not get enough of the Picanha and the lamb chops. I ended up finishing off 5 chops so I do feel that I got my value to dollar considering it was less than $65. Since the grill is ultra hot, the exterior of all the meats were crispy and crunchy. Mixed in with the salt and tender meat, I do feel the restaurant used zero msg, I could be wrong but with all the cuts of meat, I assume salt will be high and I didn't have dry mouth so I assume zero msg. The Picanha as you can see is ultra tender medium rare, just heaven. Love the honey on top of the pork belly, the honey offsets the saltiness of the pork belly cut. A must try for all the means, the garlic beef was great, don't let it sit too long because it gets hard. I can sit here and explain all the meats but why read this when you can just try it? I mean it's worth the dollar amount to the meats. Just go!! :) I will say I mixed the mash potatoes between bites, I had some caprese between the bites and some capers. It helps cut the saltiness of the pallet. I will say the cheese bread is soo dense and thick that I was in my groove with the meats and it sorta filled the space in my stomach but it's a tiny piece of bread and cheese but boyyy it was rich. The garlic mash potatoes holy hell they must of put a stick of butter since it was the best I've ever had.

Overall good experience. I ordered a grilled lobster with the tomahawk steak combo, I didn't get my tail until it was almost desert time. The server was very accommodating and nice as we did have kids with us. The drinks were okay not worth the splurge. I went as a pre-birthday celebration and the space is intimate and warm perfect for a date night or celebration dinner.

We came here for dinner. Their menu is extensive. Their salad bar is diverse and has a lot of delicious flavors. This place is heaven for meat lovers. Different kinds of pork, beef, lamb and chicken. All meats are tender and juicy. Very tasty. Service was attentive and they complimented us with a nice dessert. Fernando our server was great. Atmosphere is elevated. Will come back

I booked a table for me and my buddy and aside from a slight delay with a table my experience here was great. I started off with a Caramelized Pineapple Old Fashioned and it was a good boozy start to just the deluge of meat that came my way. Usually the gauchos start slowing down after a while sometimes to the umbrage of the waitstaff. Here it seemed like the gauchos were more than happy to come by again and again and again if you appreciated whatever cuts they were touting. I think if you're at a Brazilian steakhouse picanha is what you should eat the most. The picanha gaucho asked me once if I liked picanha and when I said I love it, he came by multiple times; once he basically just dropped a small slab of it so I wouldn't have to wait for a few slices. I've never had that happen before at a churrascaria and haven't since, which reminds me I should probably look into making another reservation...

Having ate at other Brazilian steak houses in the area this was not my favorite experience. Food was good, options that I had not had before like garlic Parmesan pork and lobster tail ultimate it was the service that was not the best. It didn't feel very personal, more rushed and almost excused. We did get checked on repeatedly so that was nice but seemed pretty fast paced for the staff so there was no eye contact really and seemed distracted. For example we have 2-3 people check on us within 20 minutes but all of them were informed that we were waiting on a specific cut of meat or a drink and ultimately there was no follow up and someone completely different would bring said item to the table. However the team effort was there to get a table taken care of it was just interesting to have 4-5 people assist you, not including those offering cuts of protein.

First of all, the staff is so friendly and the service is fabulous ! The ambience is wonderful. We were here two nights ago for a company dinner and had the full Churrasco experience ($61.50-$82) It was really good. The desserts were also excellent (key lime pie yum). It was a little complicated to do with such a large group (80) but the staff handled it well. So well, in fact that we decided to go back tonight to go to the Market Table & Feijoada Bar (on its own $18 lunch or $36 dinner). We decided to add the salmon to outside ($43 for salmon and includes the Market Table. We have had enough red meat over the last few days. The salmon was excellent perfectly cooked, and came piping hot to the table. We loved all the charcuterie meats, cheeses, salad choices, fruit veggies on the Market Table and Feijoada bat. Great way to celebrate our last evening in Austin. Make sure you go hungry!

A little bubbly to celebrate

Came here for a celebration dinner with six people. Had a reservation - seated quickly. The new location is gorgeous and the valet out front is very helpful vs. street parking, especially if anyone in your party is in heels - the walk is short. The majority of us opted for the traditional meat experience, but the vegetarians in our party had ample options between the salad bar and some vegeterian menu options. Service was generally good, although the kitchen was definitely producing meats in fits and spurts - lots of things at once followed by long pauses between options, even with the green pogs turned up. Two special requests (lamb, pork belly) from the menu took more than 40 minutes to finally arrive after asking four different times. They're definitely getting used to a new number of patrons, new layout, etc. and having some hiccups in consistency / continuity. Edit: the issue with our tip being recorded wrong (too low) was addressed by management, but only after posting this review. Calls to the restaurant were ineffective in getting results.

I'm writing this while we're still here because the service has been that amazing. Now onto the food... My wife ordered the sausage, and she's absolutely obsessed with it. It's technically on the starters menu, but she always gets it as her main course because it's just that good. My son and I both ordered the 20-ounce Koji Coffee-Crusted Cowboy Ribeye, cooked medium-rare. When I say it melts in your mouth, I mean it. The coffee crust adds the perfect amount of texture and crunch without overpowering the steak. I highly recommend it. For sides, we shared the mac and cheese and the corn crème brûlée, and both paired perfectly with our steaks. We also started with the pork chop bites, which continue to be an absolute home run. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the applesauce takes the flavor to another level. The only minor critique I have is that the bread wasn't quite as soft and warm as it usually is. But honestly, that's such a small detail in what was otherwise an outstanding meal. To finish, we had the Vanilla Orange Cheesecake and the Lemon Bar. The Lemon Bar was delicious, although I wish the center hadn't been quite so cold. The toasted marshmallow on top, however, was absolutely perfect. The Orange Cheesecake? Incredible. Total Dreamsicle vibes, and I would order it again in a heartbeat. What really made this evening unforgettable, though, was Alex. He has officially set the standard for what exceptional service looks like. Every server I have from here on out has some big shoes to fill. Perry's, if I can't have Alex next time, I hope the service is held to the same incredibly high standard because he truly made this experience special. Overall, Perry's came out swinging tonight. I can't honestly call it a perfect 10 because of a couple of tiny details, but it was absolutely a perfect 5-star experience. Thank you for an unforgettable evening and for making my son's birthday one to remember!

I was excited to give it a try, and overall, we had a lovely experience. Our server, Delina, was so sweet and incredibly helpful with her recommendations based on what my husband and I were in the mood for. It was a sunny and humid day, and since we had a full night ahead of us, we didn't want anything too heavy. We started with the spicy tuna tartare, which was amazing! The complimentary bread and butter were also mouthwatering--I honestly wanted another roll. For drinks, we asked for something refreshing, and Delina delivered. My husband had a cocktail that reminded him of an Aperol Spritz with a mojito twist, while the watermelon hibiscus margarita was absolutely perfect for the weather. We shared a Caesar salad and ordered the Dean's Style steak with the sauce on the side. This was the one dish that left me a little disappointed. The steak wasn't as juicy as I expected when cutting into the center, but thankfully, having the sauce on the side helped elevate the flavor. I highly recommend the truffle béarnaise sauce--it was delicious. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and Delina truly made our evening enjoyable. While I think we've had better steaks at a lower price point, the ambiance and overall experience still made for a memorable birthday dinner.

We were excited to try the food, and were hungry. Our server appeared (I can't remember his name but he was a short guy with blond hair). I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered beer to begin with. He went away and then came back asking my husband if he wanted some whiskey cocktail, and we corrected him that we had asked for a particular beer. No big deal. We then ordered the deviled eggs and shishito peppers, and the red fish and short ribs for entree. A lady brought us the drinks, and the deviled eggs. Our server swung by and then disappeared. We thought the shishito peppers were on their way. We waited for what seemed like a really long time and still no shishito peppers. We also noticed that each table had a carafe of water except ours. We were just given water once, and then our server never bothered to fill the water up. Anyway, we kept waiting since there was no sign of the server. At this point, we felt he might have forgotten the second appetizer and we just did not want it, but he was nowhere to be found. A man (not our server) brought out our entrees. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. Now this is where it really annoyed us. Had our server just come over and said he had forgotten our shishito peppers, it would have been okay. Human. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you, after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.

I paid the tip and received no compensation for this review. I'm focusing only on the dishes I personally ate. We had a 6 PM Sunday reservation, and the restaurant was quiet and calm. We were seated near the front, but I saw several dining areas -- all classic, clean-lined, and intimate. Our server, Adam, was exceptional from start to finish. His timing, attention to detail, and genuine care elevated the entire evening. He made thoughtful recommendations for cocktails and dessert, and every suggestion was spot on. Cocktails I asked for something light, and Adam suggested a summery twist on their cucumber martini. He added elderflower, and it was refreshing and delicious. We also tried the Divorce Papers (light, slightly sweet, with an earthy undertone) and the Dreamsicle, which is sweet, fun, and honestly as much an experience as it is a drink. While we waited, we were served a small blintz bite with caviar -- a lovely bite to start the meal. Starters We ordered the crabcake and the Caprese salad, both easily shareable. * The crabcake is one of the best I've had in Austin -- large, packed with jumbo and shredded crab, and seasoned perfectly. The aioli and fresh lemon made every bite better. * The Caprese truly surprised me. I expected heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, but the Sicilian pesto with Marcona almonds elevated it in an unexpected way. The pesto was thick, chunky, and incredibly flavorful -- it tied everything together beautifully. Balsamic and olive oil are added tableside, and the dish is as delicious as it is pretty. We were also served Brazilian cheese bread, which had a sharp cheese flavor and a great chew. Mains & Sides I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon, cooked rare. It had a perfect peppery crust and a tender center -- exactly what you want from a fine steakhouse. For sides, we shared: * Crispy Brussels sprouts -- roasted through, very crispy, and served with walnuts, feta, shaved prosciutto, and balsamic. Best when you get a little of everything in one bite. * Truffle sweet potatoes -- the first serving had undercooked layers, but the staff handled my feedback professionally and quickly brought a new dish. The remade version was delicious, with a great balance of flavors. Dessert Adam recommended the Carajillo, an after-dinner cocktail made tableside. If you enjoy espresso, get this -- the presentation alone is worth it. We tried two desserts: * Crème brûlée -- large enough to share, topped with berries, with a perfectly thin sugar top. * Flambéed strawberry shortcake -- made tableside by Enrique, who explained each step as he prepared it. The house poundcake is buttery but balanced by the ice cream and strawberries. Not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Also very shareable. Overall A great steakhouse should deliver on food, ambience, service, and drinks -- and J-Prime Steakhouse absolutely does. I had multiple moments where I paused just to appreciate the flavors. Adam made the evening fun, and the entire team ensured the experience felt special. I left wanting to come back and try more of their popular dishes.

This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. My drink was the basil cocktail was was phenomenal. Everything was just so so very good. Our waitress Tiagna was an absolute delight in every way. Thank you so much!!!

I had a great view of everybody walking by the restaurant outside :) Our server was fantastic! He was super friendly and attentive. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and left a little after 10:00 p.m. The food was delicious. My man absolutely loved his seafood pasta dish! He doesn't even eat pasta but he scraped that plate dry. I highly recommend ordering family style for the table but make sure your whole party is on board with splitting the check evenly because the restaurant does not break up the check according to diners only split evenly, I believe up to four ways. Example: Our check was $822 (included gratuities) for seven people and we were only able to split evenly four ways. Roughly $118 each. It is what it is but I didn't even get a main course. Just a glass of wine, a half of a piece of bruschetta, some of the Caesar salad and a small portion of the gnocchi (all shared) I'm glad I got to experience Red Ash, but now that I've checked that off my list, I'm good.

There's usually something on the menu for everyone, which makes it such an easy choice for almost any occasion. Their happy hour is one of my favourites in Austin. The mini martinis are served on a martini tree, which makes the experience especially fun, and they also make an excellent dirty martini--perfectly ice cold and well balanced. The beef tartare is another standout and easily one of the best in town. It's always topped with an impressively large egg yolk, which I love. Murray's is an easy recommendation for anyone in East Austin looking for a relaxed, lively atmosphere and a satisfying meal.

Juliet, our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. My salmon was delicious, the Chicken Francese amazing and the Chicken Pot Pie unique and great, to name a few. Since we were there during happy hour, bottles of wine were half off-a great deal--and portions were very large--another welcome surprise. Knowing we were celebrating a birthday, a manager brought out a tower of seven mini glasses of champagne- a great touch. The Sticky Pudding on the dessert menu also a hit. While a bit out of the way, tucked in a neighborhood, this spot is worth the trip. We all plan on returning soon.

I made a same-day reservation for the chef's counter and I enjoyed it more than dining at the bar. 10/10 * no notes * I'll be back What I ate: cocktails: midnight in technicolor starters: caviar and skins (chef's treat) + crab cake (it was stuffed with corn and who'd have thought?!) entree: josper-roasted market fish * that day it was halibut and the light crust around the edges was an unexpected + pergently executed dessert: churros (chef's treat) From the hospitality to the cuisine, Ember is easily a top 3 dining experience of mine. Thanks Claire, Presley + another supervisor whose name has escaped me (so sorry), Chef, and team for making my birthday such a special one.

Everyone really enjoyed their food. The service was good except for the hostess. The hostess was impatient and curt and didn't have 10 seconds to wait for me to scan the QR code for the parking validation. When I told her I needed to scan, she didn't care and said she was going to the table anyway. She just threw the menus on the table and then left. We didnt' want to sit in the sun but she had already left so we had to ask around to get another table. Sorry to bother her at work, I guess. A host/ess is a restaurant's first impression and it was off to a bad one. Our actual server was nice though and the food was good so I'll still give the restaurant 5 stars.
