Service is a little more bumpy like long waits, them not automatically doing things and not having as much polish as Scottsdale. They all seem to be trying really hard though and i think they'll get there. I went for lunch, food was delicious as usual service was ok definitely not bad just not as seamless. I booked a dinner reservation at 345p for six people for my dad's 72nd birthday on the Fogo site and everything went smoothly. Their new location is isolated to a nice building with plenty of parking. The ambiance with high ceilings and nicely decorated space were tasteful. The service was outstanding - Gavin was our server and he was accommodating, responsive and delivered excellent service as did the rest of the wait staff and everyone we encountered. The meats took a second to flow so after the trip to the salad bar, we requested meats and they came out quickly. The filet, spicy steak, and pineapple were the stars of the show. My four year old loved the cinnamon laced grilled pineapple as did the rest of the table. I loved the beet hummus, whipped feta, beet tartare, and roasted veggies. Now for the finale - Gavin recommended the tres leches and molten lava cake and both were insanely delicious. I would come back just for the dessert - it was that good and I was shocked it was that good. Definitely will come back the next time we are visiting family. I would dare to say I like this location more than the SF and Santana Row locations. If there is any bit of improvement, that would be to train the staff on cutting the meats in a way that doesn't splatter meat juice but I think that's because some of the meat was cooked too rare. Also, cut more into the pineapple instead of cutting off the outside too thin for the cinnamon - that was good pineapple and we felt bad asking for seconds and thirds bc they were so thinly sliced. We made reservations here for 11:30am on a Friday and was still asked to wait for about 10minutes. Our main server tried to upsell us on extra things. I told him we only wanted the full churrasco experience, which is still $59/pp. After that his service was sparse. I had to wave to get him to come to our table. I do not eat beef, so asked the main server specifically for lamb chops that is part of the meal. Doreonté was slicing up meat for my husband and I mentioned to him that I would love lamb. He made sure to go get lamb steak for me. Every time he had lamb steaks, he would stop by to check if I wanted any. Doreonté provided the best service that day and I hope the tips did get shared with him. It took awhile and I was almost done eating before the lamb chops made it, but the second waiter had to help. Also, my family shared that the beef cuts were either overseasoned or tasted bland. In addition, the Gilbert location does not feel very open. Getting food from the salad bar was crowded and not spacious. We prefer the Scottsdale location and will not be back to the Gilbert one. read more

I came here this past Saturday for an anniversary dinner with my husband. I've been struggling to write this review because of my experience. Understandably, this restaurant has only been open for 5 days at the time we dined. However, this is a chain restaurant, so expectations were a bit higher. This is my first time dining at a Fogo de Chao in general. After being seated, we were greeted by our secondary server who took our drink order and explained the concept, and let us know that our main server would be coming over shortly. We headed to the buffet to get our salad and other little bites and went back to our seats. Everyone gets a circle meat indicator. Green to say you're ready for meat and red for the opposite. The meat started arriving but our main server hadn't arrived and we didn't get extra plates for our meat. We ended up having to ask the guy doing the meat service. On top of that, every table is supposed to be offered chimichurri sauce along with fried plantains and Brazilian cheese bread but because our main server never came, we had to ask the various different guys doing the meat carving. We were seated in the very corner and felt like we were forgotten. Our water cups weren't refilled and every time we needed something, we had to ask. Our secondary server was finally made aware and told us our main server had gone home. It seems like there was some misstep and miscommunication. Also, not all of the items were brought over to our table. By the time the workers knew it was our anniversary, they started coming by but we were already full by then. At the end, all I wanted was to try the sausage. It took asking 4 different people and a long wait for it to finally arrive and sadly, it wasn't even good and worth the wait. Everyone was really friendly but the overall experience felt incomplete. I would have liked to enjoy my meat with the chimichurri sauce but by the time we got it, I was already full. I do appreciate the staff as they did feel horrible and they provided us with complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary, however, it still can't make up for the full experience. Let me start with the great service and beautiful displays. Our family was immediately welcomed in and we were seated for our reservation. Every person working there was friendly and highly responsive and visible. We were introduced to the staff and received recommendations as we scanned the menu. We have been to another Fogo de Chao, so we didn't necessarily need help in this department, but appreciated that they always begin with introductions and recommendations. The market table was eye popping, but the flavor was somewhat lacking. The salads greens and prepared salads were done well. The fruit was pleasing to the palate and the eyes. The flavor was lacking in the Tabbouleh and the Beet Tartare. There were limited options compared to other locations based on this visit. I know they do have seasonal rotations, so that could be the case at this time. Okay now I will get to the meat rotations. We were there for 2 hours and they brought lamb, chicken, sausage, pork, and a limited selection of beef steak. This may be good for some, but I don't eat pork, I don't care for sausage, and the beef that was brought on several occasions was tough. The very best selections in my opinion was the tri tip and the roasted chicken leg. Now onto the desserts which were pretty on point, save the papaya cream which tasted quite like a room temperature papaya kefir if you are into that. The crème brûlée was to my daughter's liking, and the chocolate brigadeiro was rich, but not overly so. All around the service made it very enjoyable, but the flavor needs to be turned up a notch. read more

We came here to celebrate our 36th anniversary and we were thrilled with the quality of service and the exceptional food options. My wife ordered the salmon and I delighted in the branzino. The market table introduced us to Brazilian cuisine, and we loved the option to try all the different varieties of food ranging from dragon fruit to roasted pineapple with cinnamon. The service was exceptional and exactly what you would expect in a five-star restaurant. They work exceptionally well as a team, checking in continuously to make sure everything is well. Jordan was a terrific waiter! We were thrilled when they comped us two desserts in celebration of our anniversary! The ambience is festive, elegant, and modern. Absolutely fantastic!! Brunch was a delicious, healthy, variety of food with an assortment of meats that never stopped and a service team that left us excited to come back for more! My husband and I came Saturday morning to celebrate his birthday and use the birthday coupon he received for signing up for their rewards program (definitely some great deals if you join). The parking situation is a little limited right now with the surrounding construction so if dining in a group you may want to travel together, though valet is available. We were greeted right away and sat in a beautiful well lit dining area that had elegant furnishings and nice high ceilings. The food was soooo good!! I chose the Market Table and my husband got the Full Churasco. The options available at the market table were all so tasty! The mushroom yuca soup, mini waffles, and street corn were my favorites and we both loved having the fresh fruit to break up our meal. My husband really enjoyed all the meat options that the wonderful service members brought around frequently throughout our stay, we literally ate til we couldn't possibly think of having another bite and were still brought more! The service team was absolutely the best!! I read a few reviews noting slow or disinterested service but that couldn't be farther from what we experienced during our visit. The entire team went above and beyond to make us feel attended to, engaged and extremely well taken care of! Major shoutout to Gavin, Arianna, Dorriante and Hannah, they absolutely knocked it out of the park with their customer care! We'll definitely be back as this our new go-to special event spot! First time trying Fogo do Chão out now that they've opened one in Gilbert nearby my house. Upon walking in everyone greeted us. We felt so important. We had made reservations prior and so they walk us right in and seated us. We've never had experienced this sort of restaurant setting so a lot of information was definitely thrown at us. Which made my partner a bit overwhelmed, I knew what I wanted my partner just had some trouble. They're very busy which is not a shocker since they just opened and we came in on a weekend. The atmosphere was a little chaotic. It was sort of overwhelming just cause everyone was walking around a lot and hitting chairs and squeezing through but it looks nice and clean. We were definitely well taken care regardless of it all. My partner didnt have such a good day after work I know the managers have noticed things just wasn't going well for him but they had made our visit pleasant because they had tried everything to make things right for him to feel better. I appreciate u all! It shows how people truly care for their costumers and restaurant. Special thank you to Michelle and Victoria. For coming over and talking to us. Food for me it was delicious. We paid 70/person we didnt even get prime rib, not chicken, we got sausage, lamb which wasnt good as all, tritip, 2 more beef . That was all. Their salad bar didnt deliver either. The only thing that went well on that visit was how apologetic our poor server was- it was the worst BIRTHDAY dinner celebration Ive had. We had a terrible experience. Our waitress Leah ruined our last family dinner before our kids returned to college. They couldn't get our drink order right. Gave no direction on how the experience was supposed to go. We ordered sides with our meal they never came. Our waitress never entered them on the ticket. I asked for an iced tea refill waitress brought a coke when I asked her to exchange she rolled her eyes and made a comment . Restaurant is super nice and we were excited to try it out. But after this experience we will not be returning. Called the manager the night we had the issue she said she would reach out to us the next day. Jennifer never did. I'll start by saying we had a very enjoyable lunch here today, but this is a review, and I hope to convey the entire experience. Upon entering we were approached by a hostess in training. I hope she learns well. When I would not give her my phone #, she persisted asking me for it until I asked her why she was looking at me that way. The mgr. stepped in and we were shown to a table. The restaurant is new and very nice, casually upscale & comfortable. Every other staff member we encountered was excellent. Very attentive! Helped ourselves to the exceptional salad bar. Included were several tropical fruits and unique salads. very upscale! Bread, fried bananas & polenta sticks brought to the table, delicious. Then the meat started coming around. Servers were excellent, polite & obliging with the cuts provided. This is where they lost a star, not all of the meat was very good. Stand outs were the filet mignon, but it was rarely coming around. The tri tip was pretty good as well. The let downs were the star...picanha, and rather tough sirloin. Since the meat keeps coming, we just wait till something better is provided, and set the rejects aside. For the price and style of this place, I believe the meat should be a higher quality. I really wanted to love the new Fogo de Chão in Gilbert, especially since it's the only Brazilian steakhouse we have on this side of town. They only opened 9 days ago, so I went in expecting there to still be some growing pains. Unfortunately, it was a little rougher than I expected. We went around 8:15 PM, which was getting closer to their 9:30 closing time, but I still expected the quality of the food to be good. The tri-tip was easily the highlight of all the meats we tried and was one of the few I went back for. Unfortunately, most of the other meats were overcooked and pretty dry. The frango chicken in particular was not very tender. The service also seemed a little disorganized, a few times the servers would bring meat to the table and say the wrong name, so we genuinely didn't know if we were getting pork or chicken. The grilled pineapple was another disappointment, by the time it made its way to us, most of the good caramelized pieces covered in brown sugar had already been cut off, so we were mostly left with the rind. At the end of dinner, our waiter told us dessert was included and asked if we wanted it to go. When we got the check, we found out only one of our dinners actually included dessert, so we were charged for the other one. Not a huge deal, but definitely confusing. On the bright side, the tres leches was really good and probably one of my favorite things we had. Overall, I'm giving them some grace since this is literally their second week open. There are definitely some things they need to figure out, especially with the consistency of the meats and service, but I'm still excited to finally have a Fogo de Chão in gilbert. read more

Fogo is consistently one of the best rodizio experiences around. The benchmark, and the Gilbert location is rocking it in their first week. Five days in and we had a larger party with eight guests. The staff was incredible, with Javier leading the crew. Our Pao de Queijo was replenished timely and at one time there was four different gauchos serving our party. We had a few particular eaters and the gauchos were catering the cuts and cooking specifically to their liking. From Picanha to Pineapple to grilled white cheese with honey, we covered the range of options, and were never disappointed. Several were newer employees yet the service never suffered or left us asking for anything. We have visited four other US locations as well as several around São Paulo, and the team in Gilbert is doing it right! read more

We've been to multiple Fogo locations in AZ and CA. This may have been the best service we've had out of all of them. We came on a Tuesday right before 5 pm, a few days after they opened. Our server was Devon and he was very attentive and personable. Around 5:15 pm to 5:30 pm they must have gotten their dinner rush because our service then became a little slow as far as waiting for our dessert and check, however Devon checked in with us and let us know he hadn't forgotten. With it being opening week it was very understandable while they work out any opening kinks and get used to operations. The table next to us had a purse holder which was cool to see as I've never seen that offered at Fogo's before. We were offered one as well but didn't need it. I didn't enjoy the first drink I ordered and Devon was very gracious about it and assured me it was no trouble to replace it as he wanted to make sure I enjoyed what I ordered. I ended up getting the drink he recommended and it was delicious. I will say the location seemed a bit small compared to the others, but it looked like there was a big patio it just may not be open yet. We also noticed the meats ranged from rare to very well done, which can cover everyone's palettes but as someone who prefers closer to medium, we did enjoy some meats less than others. The tres leches was good but a tad on the too sweet side. We will definitely return again soon! read more

Our server was very good at explaining the concept, but the staff seemed quite confused when three of us ordered the single churrasco vs. the all-you-can-eat option. The staff continued to try to offer us all of the options vs the on we ordered. They seemed genuinely confused that we did not go AYCE. The meat was fine. Well cooked, well seasoned, if not overly salty. But, just meat. Nothing different than any decent restaurant at this price. The market buffet had some good fruit and veggie options, though it was odd to have cold cooked vegetables dishes. We ordered some sides with dinner and they did not come out for a very long time. Same with desert. And it took as long to get the bill as it did to complete the dinner service. Uncomfortably long. It was a fun experience and I'd probably go back. We went to Fogo de Chão on the second day of them being open, and it was a fabulous time overall. All the servers were very accommodating and considerate. We did the Fogo experience and I'm pretty sure I tried everything there was to offer (it was all so delicious). The market table also had all the salads, fruits and veggies you could want. We were celebrating something and so we were a given a dessert, so I chose the crème brûlée, which was phenomenal. I went there last month, love everything about it, the food and the ambiance was amazing! So I decided to go back for the happy hour burger, this time the experience was horrible. The service was super slow, the waiter wasn't attentive. We order 4 appetizers but only 1 came out. The 4 burgers took 20 mins to come out and I had to ask to waiter to cancel my other appetizers because they what is the point since I'm already eating the burger! My husband asked for ketchup and it took 3 different people and 15 mins later to get his ketchup. He was very upset. And the end, we wanted to ask for our check and some boxes. We look around for our waiter for a good 10 mins, no where to be found so we have to ask the hostess and she sent another waiter to get our check and boxes. Because tonight. We came in today 8/22 and it was my first time here. I was being treated out for my birthday. We got sat down at a table and our server was nice. The food was great, highlights being the garlic steaks and other various steaks they brought out. The lamb here was good but we went to Rodizio a month ago and their lamb was better. Brazilian corn and the banana cream dish was great. As we ordered drinks suddenly our initial server was gone and we weren't told he would be changed to another area. This caused our drink order to not get fully because I didn't get the initial drink I ordered. We had a party of 7 and we suddenly had a tall woman with glasses and a ponytail. Didn't catch her name. I tried to order that initial drink again and another 10-15 minutes went by to the point I was just going to give up and expect to not get it. Then she brought it and apologized for not bringing it out. I said no problem and said it was fine and accepted the drink. Then we had issues towards the end of our meal. We tried to order coffee and she didn't really seem like she had taken the order because she never once said "got it 7 coffees" or anything along those lines. She was just very cold and rude in demeanor. Another 10 or 15 minutes had went by at this point so we thought they didn't have the coffee's placed. We told another person that was attending to the area could we cancel the coffees if they had been placed. They had, and I watched the person relay this info to glasses girl. She immediately rolled her eyes, and I locked eyes with her and signaled to her if she could come to the table. Rather than do this she stormed past the table irritated and cancelled the coffees. Which was just brewed so while it may have been a minor inconvenience to her. The coffee had not been poured yet as another guy in the back even came out to tell us. However, she was irritated by this and made it known she was annoyed. I know some servers hate serving large tables but on the scale of tentative tables we were not that needy constantly asking for things. People came around to bring water and my drink that came late and the coffees were the only 2 asks we really had the whole meal. The bill comes and she couldn't even be bothered to say anything at all. Just dropped the check and left. Again, I never raised a stink when she delivered the drink late and apologized. I also could have been a Karen and asked to talk to a manager and turned what was clearly a bad day for her into a worse one. I just wanted to post this to show perspective because I could have went through that method to get her in trouble but she wasn't worth it. She was just extremely rude. She was maybe annoyed she had to be swapped over to a larger table but it was just as jarring for us to have ordered items with one server, then to be given another with no information given to us and as a result some items didn't get ordered. Again, while we had these minor inconveniences we didn't complain during the visit and not going to a manager to say something was honestly sparing this her. I don't know if some servers don't love large tables because of the fear of not getting a proper tip....but being rude certainty doesn't help your case (she got tipped as well). The other staff was great, the woman working the waffles and omelettes during brunch was lovely. Which several people from our group mentioned because we were sitting right behind her serving waffles. I even said during the meal that I'd go again because 1 person being rude didn't hurt my experience but I had to share this nonetheless. read more

Bacon microwave style pick through pieces that look edible. Raw or overcooked. service: still have no idea who are server was, stood in one spot opposite side of where I sat in middle of restaurant never came over to rest of table just stood there and talked to everyone like we we're supposed to yell our order or hear what she says. Mind you middle of restaurant full of people lots of noise but somehow I am supposed to communicate what I would like from a distance. Then didn't see her again until we asked someone to find her. prob saw her once every 30 or so mins and still only talked to one side of table and ignored everyone else. Bar service: idk if there was bartenders or just workers going back there to make drinks if they were walking by but absolutely terrible. We had unlimited rounds of water, no drinks to order unless we asked the water service to get us something else. Then we waited.... And waited we finally got drinks every so often once again had to stop someone as they were walking by if they could get us refills or see when we could get our drinks. Still person who initially talked to us which I thought was our server since she took our order in beginning didn't see her again. By the end after just miserable time. She brought someone at our table 2 drinks that were ordered because we waited so long to receive them. 1st drink was ordered when we sat down and 2nd drink was ordered about hour or so later. It wasn't until we were at the end did the person receive both drinks at same time. I don't know if it was c shift night or because this location is trying to pick up slack from scottsdale location and they are short on workers but this place for all its bells and whistles was not worth the name. Professional review: Need water filtration system your ice and water is no Better than tap and you can definitely taste it. If you have system it needs service. If it is Getting "service" fire the maintenance guy cause he is not doing the job paying him for. i don't have a fancy system but you taste any drinks with ice or water you can taste the chemicals. It's no better than hose Bibb from outside and for premium drinks and service this needs to be better. Super disappointed in this location service and I hope to revisit Scottsdale location again to get the quality of food and service that I had expected to get here. 10/10 location is beautiful staff is on point, food is seasoned so we'll, everyone is so kind and excited! This is the #1 spot in Gilbert GM is so sweet she is on top of her game Shout out to Brandie for running such a well oiled machine, our server was Ashanti so attentive and so sweet treated us like queens and Fabian searched high and low for grilled pineapple for us and it was well worth it....the whole experience was top tier. It was okay, went for my husbands 26th birthday tonight, said dessert was complimentary tonight for him, ended up paying for dessert, no writing on the plate like I see in the other reviews and our shareable side came out pretty cold (lobster Mac and cheese) a lot of the steak pieces were fatty. Drinks took 15+ mins to get to us. Wish we had a better experience... atmosphere was chatty, nice if you have kids. read more

The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was great. The seating in the whole restaurant was too crowded and tables are too close. I'm fairly thin and had to scoot my chair all the way in and walk sideways to get around. I was not impressed with the salad bar. It is ok; not many choices. As far as the quality of the meat - it was great. Just be weary that online the full churrasco menu states there are 14 meats....we were lucky to see 5. It was a nice experience, but I don't think I would return for $69 per person. read more
