    Shrimp cocktail
    Craig W.

High end Red Lobster is what this really is. If RL had such a place, this is it. We went here for my birthday having high expectations based on reviews on various places, plus a friend from out of town was staying in Chandler. There were some pluses here, but serious minuses. And I learned that the bases of the sauces etc. are pre-made according to our server which is why I could not get garlic removed from the white wine sauce for shrimp scampi, even though I noted it as an allergy. Hey, thanks for helping here. Let's start it off Appetizers I had the six shrimp cocktail. It was very good. Shrimp were delicious, sauce excellent. The spouse and my friend had the crab cake with corn relish and enjoyed it a lot. The mains The spouse had the scallops which were supposed to be pan seared or seared at least. They weren't. A couple were Lukewarm. She mentioned this to the person bringing out the food, who took the plate and came back in short order with them seared. To me they looked a bit overcooked. The spouse had some and didn't finish. My friend had the sea bass with I assume was the buerre blanc one. Yes I misspelled the word. Anyway he loved it. The spouse tried it and she like it. Noting the sauce and crispiness of the way the fish was cooked. Remember the allergy issue? My server showed me what didn't have garlic on the menu as a way I assume to go, pick one of these, options. I did ask if the chef could whip up a sauce without the garlic. A simple request that restaurants of all price points usually do. Not here. I ended up going with the mussels and kbashed the sausage. The mussels were very good. I didn't finish them all, and the broth was good too. There was a seasoning in there that seemed like an allspice. Regardless it was nice. Now you are thinking what about the bread that it usually comes with? Seems that isn't a standard but she said they could provide one piece of grilled sourdough or another sourdough loaf. The loaf is six bucks. I'm surprised the server never showed up when the whole scallops issue was taking place. Nor a manager for that matter. In fact I never saw a manager walking around to see how folks are doing, how's the food. Again something very common at restaurants that value their customers. Even RL I assume does this. I can't be certain though. Although I'm very confident they would have whipped up a sauce for me.

The food here is amazing. I ordered a dozen blue point oysters and the Tide Roast steam pot. The steam pot was seasoned to perfection. The oysters were really good as well. If you go during HH you can get the oysters at $2 a piece. The service was great. Our food came out really quickly. I will definitely visit again.

The ambiance was wonderful inclusive of the decor, the music, and sunset view. This place emanates class. Our waitress, Cody, was exceptional! She oriented us to the menu, ensured our waters were filled, and demonstrated friendly professionalism throughout the evening. I absolutely loved the lobster bisque, its rich, creamy texture and warmth were soothing. The enchiladas were a bit too salty for my taste which is the reason I gave four stars for this review.

Lobster bisque! Do yourself a favor, and order a bowl and not a cup! This bisque is the bomb!

My girlfriend and I met here for Happy Hour and it was okay, not as good as I remember though! I remember the mussels and the lobster bisque knocking me off my feet, but this time they barely moved me! The lobster bisque had the consistency of pudding and the mussels weren't as flavorful as before. I don't like my lobster bisque that thick and I also would have appreciated more lobster chunks! Maybe yall were having an off night? I'll go back, but if it doesn't get better I'm done!

    Sushi and oyster bar

My wife and I have been wanting to try High Tide Steelyard for a while and finally did tonight. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us right away. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere. There is a nice sushi and oyster bar on one side and a full bar on another side with a couple TVs. The waitress was very nice and helpful with menu suggestions. They have a Crabby Hour with a good selection of food and drink items we will have to come back and try. My wife ordered a cup of clam chowder and we both got the Chilean sea bass with risotto, asparagus and artichoke with lobster beurre blanc. I tried the clam chowder and it was delicious! The flavors of everything on the plate were delicious, the fish was cooked to perfection! The only downside was the risotto wasn't completely cooked so it was somewhat crunchy. All in all, a very satisfying and delicious dinner. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

Went for Valentine's Day and it was an amazing experience. Everyone from the hostess, to the server, to the staff dropping our food off was very kind and attentive. Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. I got a strawberry mocktail that was super flavorful and I thought very much worth the price. Scallops were amazing.

I was craving some oysters and my friend recommended to try High Tide. The restaurant had a great ambience! We had a party of three and wanted to have a few drinks with some appetizers to snack on a Saturday night. We ordered oysters, fried calamari, ceviche, and braised beef ribs. The oysters was fresh and delicious which satisfied my oyster cravings. Our server Josh gave excellent service! He was very attentive. He made it a very wonderful experience. We would definitely be back! If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend. We will be back to have dinner, since we were only there for drinks and appetizers.

At one point, we even asked ourselves why we don't come here more often and not just for special occasions. The only con we could come up with? Parking can be a bit tough--but easy solution: valet. We all ordered the small filet, and every single one was cooked to perfection. The Caesar salad was excellent, with just the right amount of dressing. We also shared the truffle mac and cheese and the potatoes au gratin--both were generous portions and absolutely delicious. To finish, we ordered The Movie Ticket dessert: Flourless brownie, caramel popcorn, marshmallow, salted butter powder, and dulce de leche gelato. My daughter said it was the best dessert she has ever had--and that's saying a lot. We will definitely be returning and can't wait to come back.

Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. The elevated atmosphere struck the perfect balance of upscale and inviting. Party of four--two of us visiting from San Antonio (so yes... we take our Mexican food seriously), and two who were honestly a little hesitant walking in because the menu isn't your typical Tex-Mex lineup. But let me tell you... by the end of the night, everyone was completely sold. We kicked things off with the shrimp aguachile verde, chips, salsa, and fresh guacamole--bright, fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt intentional and elevated. For entrées, we went all in: Sonora taco, green enchiladas, bacanora tacos, and green chili cream enchiladas. Each dish had its own personality and depth--this is not your average Mexican restaurant, and that's EXACTLY what makes it so good. Service absolutely matched the food. Jasmine was incredible--warm, attentive, and genuinely engaged in making sure we had a great experience. Then manager Kevin stopped by personally to check on us, which took things to another level of hospitality. And just when we thought it couldn't get better... dessert. Kevin brought out an off-menu, down-home key lime cheesecake recipe from his mom--paired with fried ice cream--and WOW!! Easily one of the best desserts we've had in a long time. If you're hesitant because it's not "what you're used to," lean into that. This place is authentic, elevated, and absolutely worth it. We'll 100% be back.

Service was solid--friendly, attentive, and everything came out in a timely manner. For food, we ordered the Durango burger and the chicken pasta, and just a heads-up--the portions in the photos are half sizes because we split both entrées. The Durango burger looked thick, juicy, and absolutely amazing when it arrived... but unfortunately, it lacked flavor. We tried adding ketchup to bring it to life, but it still didn't quite hit that "wow" factor. The chicken pasta had a strong first impression--it was spicy and tasted really good on the first few bites. However, after a while, it started to lean a bit too salty. Also, I wish there had been more chicken in the dish to balance everything out. On the bright side, the pineapple martini was a win--refreshing, smooth, and definitely something I'd order again. Overall, this place shines in atmosphere and service, with food that's good but just a step away from being great. With a little more balance in flavor, it could easily be a 5-star spot.

He was attentive, kind, and did his job well. The food runners, however, were pretty disappointing. The girl who dropped off our appetizer didn't say a word, just set it down and walked away. Later we asked her for plates and never received them until the very end of our meal when she suddenly remembered. As a restaurant owner myself, these are the small things I know can make or break an experience. Temperature, communication, and basic attentiveness matter. James deserves better coworkers supporting him, because he was doing his part. Definitely a splurge as the price point was $12 for 5 rolls.
