We absolutely loved the high tide location on Val vista when we lived in Gilbert. Went often and always had great experiences. Then, we moved to Chandler and were so excited to be a mile away from the Steelyard location. The last 3 times we have ordered to-go food, the lobster Mac and cheese (our FAVORITE) has been sorely lacking. The lobster portion was considerably smaller, the pasta was hard and dry. Really skimped on the cheese sauce. We decided to give them another shot in person and had no wait, great service, good food. We will probably stick to in person and avoid their take out for the price. read more

Ordering online is so easy. Picking up exactly what you ordered, with perfect temperatures, is a major plus. The sushi is fresh, fish cooked perfectly, and you have tons of choices. Eating in is nice too! Staff is always helpful. read more

High end Red Lobster is what this really is. If RL had such a place, this is it. We went here for my birthday having high expectations based on reviews on various places, plus a friend from out of town was staying in Chandler. There were some pluses here, but serious minuses. And I learned that the bases of the sauces etc. are pre-made according to our server which is why I could not get garlic removed from the white wine sauce for shrimp scampi, even though I noted it as an allergy. Hey, thanks for helping here. Let's start it off Appetizers I had the six shrimp cocktail. It was very good. Shrimp were delicious, sauce excellent. The spouse and my friend had the crab cake with corn relish and enjoyed it a lot. The mains The spouse had the scallops which were supposed to be pan seared or seared at least. They weren't. A couple were Lukewarm. She mentioned this to the person bringing out the food, who took the plate and came back in short order with them seared. To me they looked a bit overcooked. The spouse had some and didn't finish. My friend had the sea bass with I assume was the buerre blanc one. Yes I misspelled the word. Anyway he loved it. The spouse tried it and she like it. Noting the sauce and crispiness of the way the fish was cooked. Remember the allergy issue? My server showed me what didn't have garlic on the menu as a way I assume to go, pick one of these, options. I did ask if the chef could whip up a sauce without the garlic. A simple request that restaurants of all price points usually do. Not here. I ended up going with the mussels and kbashed the sausage. The mussels were very good. I didn't finish them all, and the broth was good too. There was a seasoning in there that seemed like an allspice. Regardless it was nice. Now you are thinking what about the bread that it usually comes with? Seems that isn't a standard but she said they could provide one piece of grilled sourdough or another sourdough loaf. The loaf is six bucks. I'm surprised the server never showed up when the whole scallops issue was taking place. Nor a manager for that matter. In fact I never saw a manager walking around to see how folks are doing, how's the food. Again something very common at restaurants that value their customers. Even RL I assume does this. Gumbo tasted like burnt roux. Oysters were torn up like whoever shucked it stabbed the oyster inside and sent it out anyways. None of the food we ordered was worth the price tag that was attached to it. It's a shame I wasted my money here. Server was nice, but ill not ever be back again. The food here is amazing. I ordered a dozen blue point oysters and the Tide Roast steam pot. The steam pot was seasoned to perfection. The oysters were really good as well. If you go during HH you can get the oysters at $2 a piece. The service was great. Our food came out really quickly. I will definitely visit again. read more

She oriented us to the menu, ensured our waters were filled, and demonstrated friendly professionalism throughout the evening. My girlfriend and I met here for Happy Hour and it was okay, not as good as I remember though! I remember the mussels and the lobster bisque knocking me off my feet, but this time they barely moved me! My wife and I have been wanting to try High Tide Steelyard for a while and finally did tonight. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us right away. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere. There is a nice sushi and oyster bar on one side and a full bar on another side with a couple TVs. The waitress was very nice and helpful with menu suggestions. They have a Crabby Hour with a good selection of food and drink items we will have to come back and try. My wife ordered a cup of clam chowder and we both got the Chilean sea bass with risotto, asparagus and artichoke with lobster beurre blanc. I tried the clam chowder and it was delicious! The flavors of everything on the plate were delicious, the fish was cooked to perfection! The only downside was the risotto wasn't completely cooked so it was somewhat crunchy. All in all, a very satisfying and delicious dinner. We will be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Went for Valentine's Day and it was an amazing experience. Everyone from the hostess, to the server, to the staff dropping our food off was very kind and attentive. I was craving some oysters and my friend recommended to try High Tide. The restaurant had a great ambience! We had a party of three and wanted to have a few drinks with some appetizers to snack on a Saturday night. We ordered oysters, fried calamari, ceviche, and braised beef ribs. The oysters was fresh and delicious which satisfied my oyster cravings. Our server Josh gave excellent service! He was very attentive. He made it a very wonderful experience. Nice decor and our server was super friendly. Food was very tasty. We went for restaurant week but unfortunately by Sunday night they were out of one of the entree's. Had a 5:45 reservation and showed at 5:30, but they didn't seat us until 5:45 even though there were empty 4 tops. Sat us in the sun, and we asked to move to another open 4 top, but they said it was reserved??? Service was slow & we had to wave someone down for water & drink orders. Manhattan style ceviche appitizer was the best part of the evening - very good! All our entrées were good, bot none of said we'd order our meal again. Sea bass was OK but the asparagus was the best of the meal. Tide Roast wasn't great. Little to no flavor and the shrimp tasted like microwaved frozen shrimp. Seared ahi was probably the best. Drinks were good, but again not something you can't get elsewhere but without the prices. This place is priced as a high end seafood speciality, but there are better options. read more

We love going to high tide. We prefer sitting at high top or bar and love that there are two bar seating options. We have always had good/friendly service. The oysters our delish-love their house hot sauce on them. We typically share apps and you can't go wrong with the lobster mac & cheese, poke, or the scallops. Arrived for our reservation precisely on time. We were seated after 5 minute wait at a blank table with menus. Server brought water and took our wine order. A bottle of wine appeared 10 minutes later and we had to assist her in opening it. We still had not received water! She disappeared before asking if we would like appetizers. She did not return to our table for nearly 20 minutes. . We were famished so we ordered appetizers and our entree simultaneously as we feared she wouldn't get back to the table. We received our first appetizer 50 minutes after sitting down. NOT ACCEPTABLE. The food was presented nicely but portions tended to be quite small. Your pricing is aggressive for what you have, we understand that, however you need enough competent staff to deliver meals timely and smoothly. Love everything about this place. The decor is perfect and the seating is comfortable. You can dress up or dress down. This place compliments both. For a fun relaxed time, sit at the bar. I hate when stuff like this happens. We made a reservation for 730pm on Father's Day. When we arrived, it had looked like the rush was over. Knowing the prices at High Tide, you expect a certain level of service...sadly it fell flat. The server was apologetic and acknowledged the problem, but what really bothered me was that the floor manager didn't even come to our table to acknowledge the problem and offer to do anything on the $290 bill. We sat and waited for almost an hour. Restaurants need to understand that guests are coming with an expectation that should match the menu pricing. Steak and seafood is readily available at Costco for much cheaper and what you're really paying for is the culinary experience at the establishment reputation in the service industry, and sadly, our family won't be back to high tide There was also a homeless person at the bar, and the police had to escort them out and then tackled them to the ground right outside the doors which took most of the staff and kitchen staff to the window to watch the drama unfold read more

We have gone to this restaurant for years and I can say we are done after tonight! Jeff completely ruined the experience. He decided the second we sat down that we weren't worth his time. Nothing I asked for really happened. He was gone from the time we ordered to the time it was ready for the check. He waited until we were about to walk out the door to see if we needed anything. I asked for lemon three times that never came. The food was mediocre at best this time. My husband ordered halibut that had some sort of stringy weirdness coming out of the Risotto. My favorite place in chandler. Let me tell you... I haven't had big oysters like this unless I went to a mariscos place or went to Mexico. You will not be disappointed with what you get. I have tried crab cakes, gumbo, wings, oysters, and the shrimp cocktail so far. Every time I go everything seems/sounds delicious. The one time I had to wait was only a few minutes and the service is pretty quick for how full they get. The parking is horrible so if you live close maybe ubering would be better. Stopped in randomly when driving through the area. We got the brunch soup salad special which was $13, a great deal for the quality. Both the lobster bisque and the clam chowder were rich and creamy with nice chunks of lobster and clam respectively. The wedge salads nicely executed with all the good toppings. We also got the King Crab dragon roll, it was tasty, and you could taste the king crab. I'm not sure the extra cost to get the king Crab vs. Krab is something I'd splurge on again. The calamari was great, served with two sauces, a creamy and a sweet and sour. I don't know the technical differences, but I personally prefer the ring type calamari to the stick type they serve. A little pricey, but the best sushi in the east valley we have had. We love the Chandler location's ambiance.

We have been going to the Gilbert location for years and we finally got around to trying this location which is closer to our house. The only thing that sucks about this location is the lack of parking. Finding a parking spot is like hitting the lottery. Everything else was fantastic. Although the food is amazing and we have been going to the one on Val Vista and Williams Field for years, this location doesn't want you to see your food or menu. We had family in from out of town and they had suggested that they wanted to go to this restaurant not far from their hotel. The restaurant is a very clean, modern restaurant. The noise level can get a little high, but not so high that you can't have a conversation at your table. I had the Baja Corvina Seabass. It was very delicious and I highly recommend it for anyone who is not into seafood. My family member also ordered oysters for the table. I had never eaten oysters before so I don't know how they compare to other places. The service was a little slow, but given we were there to visit with our out of town family, we were happy to have the extra time. I would definitely recommend this place. My husband and I wanted to try some seafood and settled on this place after looking around. But, this one's been on my radar for so long and wanted to save it for special occasions. Friday evening wasn't very busy, we were seated immediately. The interiors looked great, lighting is limited, perfect for a date night, cozy dinners. This is definitely a high end place with some pricy items. We started off with some wine, crab cakes, lobster bisque soup. The presentation was good. The crab cakes was fantastic, it was served with some corn toppings and fried avocado. We absolutely relished it. The lobster bisque we ordered a cup, one spoon and we knew we needed a bowl. It's creamy, rich and one of the best soups I have had. We were so full by the end of the bowl. We ordered salmon and shrimp tempura sushi. Salmon was average, loved the shrimp, it had great flavors and good presentation. We ended our dinner with a creme brûlée, it was perfect too. Loved everything that was served, service was good and fast. This is going to be our new favorite restaurant around. I would definitely want to try their lunch specials on Friday or the weekend.
