It is with great disappointment that I write this review about my recent experience at Fogo de Chão. As someone who appreciates fine dining and has heard rave reviews about this establishment, I was truly let down by the lack of food availability, questionable quality, and subpar service. First and foremost, the most glaring issue was the limited food availability. I expected a diverse array of succulent meats and a wide selection of delectable sides, but to my dismay, many of the options advertised were simply unavailable. It was disheartening to anticipate a culinary adventure only to be met with empty trays and empty promises. The lack of variety diminished the overall experience and left me unsatisfied. To compound matters, the quality of the food that was served fell short of expectations. The meats, which should have been the highlight of the meal, were often overcooked and lacked the tenderness and flavor one would expect from a renowned Brazilian steakhouse. It was disheartening to witness the once-juicy cuts transformed into dry and tasteless disappointments. Additionally, some of the sides lacked freshness and appeared to have been sitting out for far too long, further detracting from the overall dining experience. Equally disappointing was the service provided by the staff. Attentiveness was sorely lacking, with long gaps between visits from the servers. Plates were left uncleared, water glasses remained empty, and requests for specific cuts of meat were often ignored. The staff seemed indifferent and disengaged, failing to create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that one would expect from a premium dining establishment. Given the reputation and the premium price point of Fogo de Chão, I had expected an exceptional dining experience. Instead, I left feeling unsatisfied, frustrated, and regretful of the wasted opportunity. It is truly disheartening when a restaurant with such potential fails to deliver on its promises. Updated review: I came back to Fogo de Chão to bring my daughters so they could experience it for themselves -- and to celebrate basically every birthday we may have missed, are currently having, or might have in the future. When you come here, you don't just celebrate a birthday... you celebrate ALL birthdays. And let me just say... once again... I made the correct decision to wear my meat pants. If you know, you know. These are not regular pants. These are strategically selected, expandable, life-choice-confirming meat pants designed specifically for an all-you-can-eat situation where self-control is not invited. Now let's talk about the real star of the show... The bacon-wrapped chicken. I don't know what kind of magic is happening back there, but these things should come with a warning label. Every time one of the gauchos walked by with that skewer, I turned into a full-on food radar system. "Is that... is that bacon-wrapped chicken?? Yes. Yes it is. Bring it here immediately." Crispy bacon on the outside, juicy chicken on the inside -- it's like they took two already perfect foods and said, "What if we made this dangerously addictive?" At one point I'm pretty sure I stopped pretending to pace myself and just accepted my fate. I was nodding at every pass like I was approving business deals. "Yes, more bacon-wrapped chicken." "Yes, I'll take another." "Yes, I understand the consequences and I accept them." My daughters got the full experience -- the constant flow of meat, the excitement of flipping the card, and watching me fully commit to the lifestyle I trained for. By the end of the meal, I was full, happy, and once again extremely proud of my wardrobe decision. Pro tip: Wear your meat pants, celebrate everything, and when the bacon-wrapped chicken comes around... don't ask questions. Just say yes. read more

We dined here yesterday, the 20th. First time at this location. Initial thoughts, loved the ambiance of this location vs Naperville. Beautiful and bright. Now, let's talk about service and food. I understand the concept of multiple people waiting on you to ensure good service. However, it ends up the opposite way. One person takes your drink order, another person comes and asks the same thing. There is no communication between them which makes for inadequate service, especially at this price point. The best part is that the first person that took your drink order never brings it and you have to flag someone down to get it. I should not have to do this. Also, had to beg for water refills. Again, there are SO MANY people waiting on you, there is absolutely no excuse for this. Now, to the food. The salad bar was good, but the majority of the meat that I had was so tough and overcooked I couldn't eat it. The pork was so fatty. When the ribeye came around, the gaucho cut off a huge bone that looked like a dog bone and served it to my son. It was garbage. There should be multiple temperatures offered, beyond overcooked and inedible. The only good meat was the beef tenderloin. We were celebrating my son's birthday, as I had called to mention this. I'm pretty sure that if I hadn't reminded one of the servers, it would never had been acknowledged. In the past, it was mentioned when we we're sat. This location has alot of work to do in order to provide the service at the Naperville location. I think we will stick to the Naperville location in the future. read more

We came here on Thanksgiving day to celebrate with the family vs cooking at home this year. We had a little bit of a rough start to our dinner, however the customer service (I believe her name was Krista) came by to checkin on us and I explained to her the experience we were having and let me tell you she flipped it all around. She took what was about to be a negative time and turned it into a great evening with my family. We requested some filet and chicken wings with her and within seconds they were brought to the table. She refilled our waters, got us some new plates, and even brought some new napkins and silverware. She seemed to really care that my family was enjoying themselves and I truly appreciated that. We chose Fogo de Chao to dine at not just for the special day itself, but because we have always had such an awesome time there. This was my second visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. My first experience with my wife was disappointing compared to their other location, but we decided to give it another chance for my birthday with my wife and best friend. From start to finish, the experience was lacking. First, we never received the garlic potato side dish we ordered. Additionally, we were really looking forward to trying the garlic steak and skirt steak, but despite asking about them multiple times, we were told they would be brought to us but never saw them. It felt as though we were being ignored or that the service has deteriorated significantly. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location. If you're looking for a better dining experience, I suggest trying the Naperville location instead. read more

We've been going to Fogo de Chao for a while now. This time, we tried a different location and honestly, it might've been our best experience yet. As soon as we walked in, that familiar smell of grilled meat hit us, and it immediately felt like, "Yep, we made the right call." We got seated pretty quickly. The staff was super friendly. But let's talk about the Fraldinha. I've had pretty much every cut they serve over the years, but this one blew everything else out of the water. One bite in, and I legit had to pause mid-sentence because it was that good. Don't get me wrong, the Picanha, lamb, and filet mignon were solid as always. But honestly, this time it was all about Fraldinha. I'd come back just for that. Ask for the Fraldinha, you might have to wait for it, but It's 100% worth it. read more

Mercedes was amazing! it was our first time at the establishment, we were traveling from out of state & Our first waitress gave us no details on the restaurant & forced the wagyu steak on us (we had no clue what it was) Mercedes took over our table & gave us all the info we needed. She enlightened us on what we ordered & fulfilled all of our needs. I'd give this location 5 stars, but the delay between the meats beating served tonight, was unbelievable. I planned the perfect night for my husband and I, and while the ambience and vibe was amazing, I had to bring it to the host's attention that our table wasn't being attended while everyone else's was. He was kind enough to speak to his manager and let him know what was going on. While the food was amazing, I don't think it should get to the point where I have to bring it to the attention of multiple employees before something is done about it. read more

This place is dynamite - from the unbelievable decor, to the food, to the service. The building looks like a high end hotel lobby in mid-town Manhattan - impeccably done with beautiful fixtures. The food speaks for itself - Fogo always does a great job. What is probably the best part about eating here was our sever, Mercedes, who was funny, attentive, hospitable, and provided for a great dining experience. Steak selection was vast and quality meats. Kassandra, hostess, was energetic and attentive, well-dressed and on the ball. Some of the staff seamed a little weary and initial drink order took more than 15 minutes to fill in spite of only 1/3 occupancy (did last seating of the afternoon, which was good). I had to constantly remind them over the meat and my sides, and my drinks, because everything was arriving unexceptionably late to our table. Quiet, clean, nicely spaced, Camilo was friendly, professional and helpfully. All 3 of us really enjoyed our meals.
