I came here for my birthday during happy hour and had a good time! Jesus was such a great waiter--super friendly and not awkward at all. He made the whole experience feel really relaxed and fun. We had a 3:30 reservation and ended up running late, but since the place wasn't busy, we were seated right away and the food came out super fast. We got the STK & frites, crab and corn fritters ( this was my favorite), wagyu meatball ( needed salt), crispy calamari, and popcorn chicken. The Guava Berry Kiss was very good too. Terrible experience. One and done. Went there to celebrate a birthday. Steaks were decent. Appetizers and sides were small. Wife ordered a mezcal old fashion... It was horrible. I ordered a tequila Expresso martini off the menu and it was horrible. Ordered 3 different desserts and had to swap one out because it wasn't available. Prior to ordering, was asked by the hostess and waiter who's birthday we were there to celebrate. They did nothing to even acknowledge the occasion. Not enough bang for the buck. It's right off of the expressway, which is great, so they're located before you get into the more congested parts of the Oakbrook area. I visited for their Steak Night America special that's $49 a person - it's literally a steal. You get a starter, a main, a side and a dessert to share between 2 people AND you can add two drinks for $20; they have 3 drinks or 3 wines you can choose from for this special. We went on a Wednesday night and Elise was our server. She helped us navigate the menu and made suggestions based on what we liked. We got A LOT of food. Wagu meatballs, cesar salad, Lil brgs (little burgers), ended up getting steaks and apple pie for dessert. Their bread looked like a muffin! It was so soft with delicious flavor. Restaurant is easily located off the interstate. It's a beautiful space and feels very lux. Live DJ during the week. Service was exceptional, and I enjoyed letting the bartender chose my drink. The Howl at the Moon is the smoothest espresso martini I've ever had. The marinated shrimp cocktail were absolutely giant and extremely delicious. Happy Hour Review! I recently visited STK Oak Brook that took over the old Michael Jordan Steakhouse with a decent size group for happy hour. I didn't make a reservation ahead of time which was no problem for them to accommodate. The hostess did still require me to provide my first and last name as well as my phone number for us to be seated. The inside had a nice aesthetic that met the steakhouse/club vibes. Music was a little loud for how empty the restaurant was but the music they played was good. Their happy hour menu offers smaller portions of classic menu dishes for $3/$6/$9. They also have $9 wine specials and all cocktails on menu for $9. The drink catch was that liquors were switched to lower quality from top shelf level. Overall the drinks and food on special did have a good variety to accommodate anyone's preference or allergy needs. For food, we got a variety of options. The group's favorites were the Crab & Corn Fritters, Crispy Calamari, Oysters, Waygu Meatballs. The best value was getting the STK Cheeseburger. The only dishes I wouldn't recommend were the tacos. For $9, the portions were extremely small which made it difficult to truly enjoy the ingredients. For drinks, our group's favorites were the Cucumber Stiletto and Dirty Pearls. We tried a number of other drinks that weren't terrible but nothing special. I would not recommend the Not Your Daddy's Old Fashioned as it tasted more like simple syrup than bourbon. Drinks had a nice presentation. As is, this was an okay experience. Beyond food and drinks, service can certainly improve. There were large gaps when our server wasn't checking in on us yet bussers were immediate to refill water and take empty plates/glasses away. It felt like we were constantly being interrupted by the wrong people. Portions are certainly small so go in knowing you need to order quite a few. Additionally, we ordered our second round of drinks which were clearly forgotten about. We waited 20 minutes as we ate before reminding our waiter. He quickly got them made but rather than comping, the manager came over to nicely explain she made sure to give us happy hour pricing.... Even though we originally ordered before happy hour ended. Very odd. At the end of our dining experience, our bill was handled off of an ipad card swipe which unelevates the experience. Our waiter gave us the member program sales pitch while also pushing to leave a good google review. While he was energetic, he came across very scripted and inauthentic. Lastly, the restrooms are located in the common area hallway rather than in the restaurant. I think STK has a great opportunity to thrive in the Oak Brook area but has some kinks to work out before they'll thrive. Tip: They offer valet but self parking is behind the restaurant. Came here for dinner and the vibe was so fun right when we walked in. It feels more like a lounge than a typical steakhouse music, energy, and just a really good date night atmosphere. We got steak and a few sides to share and everything was cooked perfectly. Super flavorful and tender. The truffle fries were addicting and disappeared fast. Drinks were also really good and the service checked on us a lot without being annoying. If you want a steakhouse that feels a little more lively and not super quiet/formal, this is the spot. Mixed feelings about STK Oakbrook. On Sundays they offer their brunch menu. Lucky they let us order off their normal menu. We tried the ahi tuna and the lil burgers. They were ok. I ordered a Bloody Mary which arrived after I was done eating. The description includes a rim which the drink did not have - I mentioned this to our server he could have cared less. (The rim is the best part next to the blue cheese stuffed olive) It's very loud and wasn't busy at all. Service was good - waiter recommendations were the most expensive items on the menu. The food was okay, but the overall experience was very disappointing. We came for brunch to celebrate someone in our party, and the waitress was extremely vague about what the all you can eat brunch actually included. We paid per person, yet were still forced to share items, which made no sense. What really stood out was the difference in treatment. I watched the waitress and manager constantly check on another table, offer free drinks, and make sure they were having a great experience. Meanwhile, our table barely received any attention. When I asked if the manager was going to come over after he volunteered to, he simply walked around the table asking "everybody good?" without stopping for an actual conversation. I had high expectations for STK Steakhouse Oakbrook, especially after planning a much-needed date night with my husband and booking a 7 PM reservation two weeks in advance. Unfortunately, the evening quickly unraveled before we even made it past the hostess stand. We arrived a few minutes early, only to be told--rather casually--that they "didn't have our reservation." Interesting, considering I had a confirmation in the app and not one, but three text messages verifying it. After presenting proof, we were met with, "Well, since you don't have a reservation, we'll do our best to squeeze you in." I'm sorry--since you don't have our reservation? The burden of your system failure somehow became ours. We were directed to the bar with the promise of a 10-15 minute wait. Twenty minutes later, after watching multiple parties get seated ahead of us, I checked back in--only to be told, once again, "10-15 minutes." Nearly 40 minutes after arrival, we were finally seated. At that point, expectations were already tempered, but we hoped the food would redeem the experience. It did not. After another 45-minute wait, our meal arrived: two filets, Brussels sprouts, and gratin potatoes. The sides were, without question, the highlight--which is not exactly a compliment when the centerpiece of the meal includes an A5 Wagyu filet priced at $52 per ounce. At that price, "underwhelming" should not even be in the vocabulary. My own filet was simply... fine. Certainly not worth the $91 price tag. Our server was pleasant enough, though clearly stretched thin. But that's part of the broader issue--this felt like a restaurant more interested in turning tables than curating an experience. If you're going to command a $500 dinner, the service, timing, and execution should reflect that. Instead, the night felt rushed, disorganized, and ultimately disappointing. We recently dined at STK Steakhouse to celebrate my brother's birthday -- an intimate party of four -- and unfortunately left feeling completely disappointed. For starters, our server repeatedly referred to members of our party as "chief" and "bro." We're all grown adults, and that kind of overly casual language felt unprofessional and disrespectful in what's supposed to be a high-end restaurant. The food itself was subpar, especially considering the price point. The restaurant wasn't even busy, yet our server made us feel rushed throughout the meal, even handing us a Post-it note asking for a review before we had finished dining. To make matters worse, one of our guests was subtly told they had "had enough" after their first cocktail, which was both inappropriate and unnecessary. If you're going to ask whether guests are celebrating a special occasion, you should make some effort to acknowledge it. Having the staff sing "Happy Birthday" seemed like a major inconvenience for them as they did no such thing for our table like they had the table across from us. Between the cost of dinner (nearly $1,000), sitters, and transportation, we were expecting an enjoyable, memorable evening. Instead, we left feeling rushed, insulted, and unsatisfied. STK has a beautiful ambience with good customer service. I liked the happy hour prices. I had beef tartare for the first time. I also had meatballs, arancini, and the homemade tater tots. They were all much more flavorful than the food I had in the Chicago location. I enjoyed everything. Went on a Monday night yesterday to be specific make reservations for a birthday dinner for our grandma they have a steak night Sunday thru Thursday special and that's what we were going to order from. For the price of the dishes I would think good service with accompanied with it unfortunately no. I really enjoyed this new location of STK. We went on a Monday night for my boyfriend's birthday. It was the perfect balance of hip, trendy, beauty, and class. I realize it's not for everybody, I wouldn't bring my mom here. The music might be too much for an older crowd, but I would definitely come back for happy hour. We didn't try the steak since my bf doesn't eat beef, but we had the shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, sea bass, salmon, asparagus, mac n cheese, and the apple crumble. Everything was delicious! My favorites were the shrimp cocktail, the salmon, and mac n cheese. Portion size is good, we had enough to share and take some home. I'm pretty picky and I have no complaints and didn't send anything back or ask for modifications. They even gave us a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate with. where do I start? We love the location in Las Vegas and downtown Chicago. This location is absolutely terrible. My wife and my six month old boy went in about 6 PM on a Wednesday. The service, or lack there of, was abysmal. I will say she was a very nice woman, but she did not know how to handle a family and also the beers took over 20 minutes to come out. Mind you I got a bottle beer. I cannot believe that there were other people in this establishment. There was no way that they had a good time. I really wish this location would figure it out. We spent over $400 on dog food. I am usually not a person to leave a review but I felt like I had to after this terrible experience. I hope anyone reading this stays away Gibson's is right around the corner and is much better and way cheaper. I really do think this place will go belly up very soon. Unfortunately, the end of the evening didn't reflect that same level of service. Our check was brought out by Susan before we asked for it and before Jesus had a chance to review it. As we started to stand up to get ready to leave Susan came rushing over with another busser and started to clear our table, which made us feel rushed out. I also later realized we were charged for the mocktails (we ordered 3 at the start of the night the other 4 we did not order) that were offered as a courtesy after our appetizers never came out. The amount itself ($50 for 4 mocktails on top of my $750 bill) isn't the issue--it's more about how the situation was handled. To be honest, it was disappointing to have such an incredible experience end that way. I didn't want to take away from recognizing how outstanding Jesus was. If anything, I hope this feedback is helpful and warns customers of the tricks your managers are trying to play on people. Cons: * Service was inconsistent and often sloppy--miscued orders, place settings left on the table, and a general lack of attentiveness. * Drinks were extremely inconsistent. My first $23 old fashioned filled only a quarter of the glass, while the second was filled to the brim. * Our server couldn't identify what beers were actually on tap--only the breweries. This Is after she went to check. * Prices are significantly higher than comparable steakhouses.
