Check out their IG page @crosshatchwines for more information. On my visit they were offering $11 glasses of rosè, which was perfect for the warm weather. The rosè was light, crisp and very pleasant. I also tried one of their reds. The 2024 Rubia which is 80% Grenache & 20% Mourvèdre. This one was served "chilled" and now one of my favorites! It was a light red, low acidity and smooth. It especially paired well with the tri-tip sandwich that I had. The staff here was super friendly! I really enjoyed their hospitality and attentiveness. They had two local vendors selling food and live music. I went for the bbq of course! Couldn't resist the smell of tri tip. The inside is quite small but cozy. I also noticed an area for kids but not sure if it was just for the event. I believe they have other rooms upstairs but not too sure. The exterior is nicely set up with lounge chairs and tables. CrossHatch recently moved to 111 E. Haley St. from Santa Ynez. Former home of Pure Joy catering. The parking situation is hit or miss on this busy street, but I know the area very well and found parking around the block. Overall, I had a great time here and would definitely return to try more of the wines. They have happy hour Thursday & Friday from 4-6pm.I especially love that it is a woman-owned winery built on creativity, sustainability, curiosity, and community.

We visited Municipal Winemakers/Potek Winery on 05/24/2026 at about 5:30PM…read more We were early for our 6:15pm reservation, and you enter through a mutual courtyard shared by Third Window Brewing and Potek Winery. It is a great area, and boy does it get busy on the weekends. There are plenty of places to sit both indoors and outdoors. Because we had a reservation, they had reserved a table for us outdoors. Although, we ended up finding a different place inside, which was not a problem for them. We did a wine tasting, and we had one rose and three reds. The choices were great, and we enjoyed them thoroughly. We did end up buying two bottles of the rose, which did waive the tasting for one of us. We were assisted today by Kat, and she was such a pleasure. She explained each of the wines to us, and went above and beyond in helping us with other things as well. A great time, and we would definitely return again in the future.

And on a beautiful Santa Barbara afternoon, seated in their comfy cozy patio area, our gracious host Paul took us through our tasting and made sure we knew exactly which vineyard each wine came from. We learned so much about the process of making Sparkling Wine, and why each glass was so special. And as we went through our tasting we had the opportunity to also enjoy working on their custom hand carved wooden puzzles. Something we had never experienced before, and they helped to make the tasting all the more enjoyable. They also offer a Santa Rita Hills Rosé of Pinot Noir, and a Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc. Both of which we purchased for our next Springtime picnics. They also have a fun tasting area inside, both at their bar and inside tables. Although we didn't get a chance to meet winemaker Laura and Taco (they both had the day off), we look forward to coming back to Loubud very soon. Really can't say enough about how delicious the wines are, you really need to experience them yourselves.

I think it's important to understand that Whitcraft is basically a 2 man operation. It's the owner and his right hand man, Chris P. Bacon. Yes, that's his real name. Because it's a 2 man operation, that's probably what's leading to a lack of tasting times, call backs, etc. That's not an excuse, that's something that they should definitely work on and improve. I got lucky and was able to schedule a last minute tasting. 2. For those of you complaining about the location and feeling unsafe. Stop it. Really, just stop it. Someone else on here said something like "your privilege is showing." Yeah, what he said. 3. The wines. I'm no somm, but I'm confident enough in my appreciation for pinots. Their wines are up there with anything else you can get in SB County. Their old-world style with whole clusters, etc. really adds a complexity to their wines that is hard to match. I haven't tasted everywhere, but I know my way around Samford, ABC, Dragonette, Liquid Farm, Melville, Sea Smoke etc. I love them all. Whitcraft belongs in their company IMHO. They do require a certain mood, which is probably why I will ONLY share these bottles with friends who really appreciate pinots. I won't waste these on my Cab friends.

They were a bit more heavy on the cabernet sauvignon that I would expect a central coast winery to be, but it was good stuff. The best one of course was the last one, which was the Ten Goal. Really well rounded and full bodied red with lots of fruit. I ended up shipping 2 bottles back home I liked it so much. Loved the vibe here and how down to earth they were. I hate the snootiness of wine culture and there was none of that here. Just really well made stuff. Will be back next time I'm in town!

I prefer reds, so it definitely got better as the tasting went along, but the whites were still tasty. As Peter said, "it's Summer in a glass." The location is beautiful. Looks like a lot of folks get married there. Went home with more than I expected. Peter gave me a deal on cabs I couldn't refuse. Definitely a must try. I look forward to coming back.

When I called to modify my reservation a week prior to our visit and add additional guests, the staff member I spoke with was rude, sounded annoyed by my questions, and ended the call abruptly without even saying goodbye. Looking back, I should have taken that as a warning of what was to come. When we arrived for our 11:00 a.m. reservation, the host stand staff were not welcoming or friendly. I was informed that because of the size of our party (12 people), two tables could be pushed together, but we would be charged an additional $50. This had never been communicated to me during my phone call. Had I known there would be an extra charge simply to accommodate the size of our group, I would not have proceeded with the reservation. I then asked if our group could be seated at two separate tables, but was told no because the tables were in different server sections. There was no effort to offer alternatives or find a solution. The interaction felt very transactional and unaccommodating. What made this even more frustrating was that the winery was not busy. In fact, we were told it was "graduation season" and a slower weekend, so the lack of flexibility was surprising. Eventually, I suggested that we sit at one table and have a few people stand. As it turned out, the table was actually large enough for our entire group, which left me confused as to why the additional table and fee had been suggested in the first place. As we were being seated, we were informed that because of our group size, we would be doing bottle service and would not be permitted to participate in wine tastings. This was another policy that had never been mentioned when I modified my reservation. Since this was our first visit to the area, wine tasting was the primary reason we chose to visit Sunstone. At that point, we were seriously considering leaving altogether. The hosts repeatedly asked who I had spoken with on the phone, which I couldn't remember. I explained that I wasn't blaming the individual helping us at that moment, but I was disappointed that important details regarding fees and tasting restrictions had never been communicated. Thankfully, Aaron stepped in. He interrupted the conversation and offered to accommodate our group with tastings. Aaron completely changed the trajectory of our visit. He was kind, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great experience. Thanks to him, we stayed, enjoyed the wines, and ended up purchasing more than 20 bottles. The wine was great, and Aaron was exceptional. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience with the staff left a lasting impression. Customer service starts long before the wine is poured, and every interaction before Aaron felt dismissive and unfriendly. The only reason I'm giving more than one star is because of Aaron. Without him, we would have left before ever tasting the wine.

We attended their 10th Anniversary open Houise this weekend. Lots of tastings of many of their new releases. Definitely excited to get some of them with our next shipment. It was fun meeting other club members and sharing experiences. The Open House took place on their property. Nice tour of the vineyard with Justin. Matt, the winemaker (and part of the McKinney family), made the rounds and made sure toasted time with the guests. We had pizzas baked on site in a portable brick oven! Great band performing for us. It was a bit to warm to.even consider dancing but beautiful blue sky day! Thank you for a great party!

It was beautiful scene and quiet environment to enjoy wine. We were able to feed the goat as well which was another nice experience. Thank you so much and we definitely come again to spend more time in the winery.
