Next we worked with Vladislav Ivannikov who helped us when we arrived and had the car waiting with a bow on it. I need to mention Sean was having a medical issue with his leg and was awaiting surgery but made sure his team was helping us. I used the Costco program again and makes buying a car easy. The at-home buying process was seamless. First contact was Thursday morning and Friday evening the car was delivered. All the paperwork was handled via e-sign, and the team answered all of our questions along the way. To top it off, Stephen personally delivered the van right to our driveway in Elk Grove--even staying after regular work hours to ensure we got it. Really Poor sales service from their management. They might not have made as much as they wanted, but just turning away thousands of dollars is a bad business decision. They did not even make an attempt to work with me. Weird thing is another dealership said they would match the price with their current inventory. I bought a used Tesla from this dealership in February because I needed a vehicle immediately and…read moredidn't have another car. It was late in the day, the sun was setting, and I did the best inspection I could under the circumstances. At the time, I noticed the plastic trim on the outer side of the driver's seat wasn't sitting flush. Before moving forward, I specifically asked the salesperson if there was any other damage I should know about. He told me, "Nope." That turned out to be false. Since buying the car, I've discovered issue after issue that appears to have been hidden, poorly repaired, or temporarily covered up. On the drive home, I noticed a windshield crack that only showed when headlights hit it. The next day, I found deep circular scratches all over the hood. I later noticed the rear seat upholstery separating near the door. Then the passenger window switch popped out of its housing, and when I opened the door panel, the internal housing was clearly damaged. That was not normal wear. That looked like prior damage that had been covered up. Later, a plastic trim piece in the trunk simply fell off when I opened it, again showing signs of a cheap cover-up rather than a proper repair. Now, the driver's headrest has started wearing through, revealing what appears to be previous damage that was concealed before sale. Tesla does not sell the headrest separately, meaning this could require replacing the entire seat. I understand that used cars can have wear and tear. I also understand that I should have inspected the vehicle more carefully. But there is a big difference between normal used-car wear and multiple hidden issues that appear to have been patched, covered, or concealed just long enough to get the car sold. What bothers me, is that I directly asked if there was any other damage, and I was told no. Based on everything I've found since, I do not believe that was an honest answer. I strongly recommend avoiding this dealership. At minimum, do not trust their word, do not inspect a vehicle there at night, and do not assume anything has been properly disclosed. In my experience, this car had multiple issues that looked covered up rather than repaired, and I would not want another buyer to end up with a lemon car.

When it comes time to honor what's on the warranty, they do not honor what they promise. Unfortunately, my experiences with the service department since then have left me feeling like being a returning customer doesn't count for much. A recent experience really summed it up for me. I brought my vehicle in for a repair covered under my extended warranty and was required to pay the $100 deductible, which I understand and accept. However, I was then told that small trim clips were excluded from coverage and would cost roughly $14 each. These are inexpensive plastic clips, and in this case it's entirely possible one could have broken simply while the trim panel was being removed during service. Regardless, after purchasing a vehicle here and spending significant additional money on extended warranty and service coverage, being nickel-and-dimed over something this minor leaves a very poor impression. The issue isn't really the cost of a few clips. It's the principle and the overall customer experience. Something that small would have been an easy opportunity for the dealership to take care of a returning customer and build loyalty. Instead, it accomplished the opposite. Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing the extended warranty or service plans without carefully reviewing every exclusion and understanding exactly what will and will not be covered. I also don't plan to return to Folsom Lake Ford for service or for my next vehicle purchase. Losing a long-term customer over a few plastic clips seems incredibly shortsighted, but that's ultimately how this experience left me feeling.

The salesman I dealt with at the dealership tried to sell me a different car than what I was given information on. The sales manager I dealt with told me a year of registration came with the purchase. 4 months later, I still don't have permanent plates for my vehicle and the temp registration and plates are expired. DMV also just sent me registration renewal for my vehicle. So the dealership obviously didn't send my DMV fees paid during purchase to the DMV. I obviously am not getting the year of paid registration the manager told me I was getting. I have reached out to the dealership 4 times to try to talk to their DMV dept or a member of management. No return calls. No return emails. Nothing. DO NOT do business with these shady people!

Also it is not advertised even in their online detailed finance summary that all their cars have an anti theft system they charge you for and won't remove. This costs an additional $995 to the overall price of any vehicle. Funny their motto at the top of their finance summary says "No surprises at the dealership"
