Do you see how small and thin this is?

(Ordered through GrubHub - and they're RIGHT down the street)This was the most ridiculous kids meal with adult prices I've ever received! Food U Desire should be ashamed! I ordered a chicken and egg white wrap with spinach and avocado! Sounds good right? Absolutely NOT! This was the THINNEST wrap I've ever seen! Y'all should really be ashamed!!! The chicken was sooooo dry and hard, it's not even edible, so I took most of it out! There was literally TWO spinach leaves that they used to line the inside of the wrap! TWO LEAVES! I'm not exaggerating! Same with the avocado! One slice on top, one on bottom. I paid an extra $4.99 for 1/4 of a small smashed avocado! What a rip off! Now let's get to this smoothie! Nasty!!! I literally laughed when I tasted it... For this to be an ALMOND smoothie, I taste literally NO ALMOND anything! It tastes like banana and water and the worst part.... It was warm! smh Maybe because the packaged wrapped together with the dry chicken wrap! $7 for a warm banana and water smoothie! What a horrible experience! This was the worst thing I've ever paid over $20 for!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

We come to sit, talk, share stories, our personal experiences and of course sip a fabulous beverage. I'm seeing this more and more as I visit fabulous coffee places.. Konditori, Villager, Bakeri, Hidden Grounds, and now Velvette Brew. First, the space: light, airy and I can imagine with their big windows, a sun soaked place on a sunny day. There are plenty of seats: tables and high top tables. Their menu offers a bit of everything from soup, sandwiches, quiche and pastries. There is a nice option of beverages hot/cold. Today, was a bit damp so I ordered a hot chai with bite size checkerboard cookies to dip. The barista was very pleasant and I found a seat while waiting for my chai. I see a lot of patrons working in laptops, some meeting up to talk and sip and even the barista chatted with a local patron. Love it! My chai was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The chai was frothy, rich, the black tea leaves infused with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, sweetener, and milk. I savored every sip and complimented the barista. It is always great to find a new coffee place. I expect to be a loyal local at Velvette Brew. They also host music events and have a collaboration with Cry Baby Ice Cream. It is located in the heart of Park Slope. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Velvette Brew 279 5th Avenue B63 to 3rd and 5th or R to Union Street, 10 minute walk.
