They have all your typical liquor store needs: alcohol, sodas, snacks, beach items, etc. But they also come packed with fruits and veggies and favorite premade lunch/dinner items. You'll find an extensive selection of coleslaw, sandwiches, desserts, pre-marinated meats and more. I recently grabbed a turkey sandwich on a hoagie roll and a slice of lemon bundt cake (my payment for doing a social activity.) I noticed several people ordering their large steamed artichokes, so I'll need to return to fully understand the hype! Their catering menu is pretty extensive - it legit includes 20+ meat options. This little grocery outlet doesn't really stand out on the street but it is such a cute little hole in the wall that you'll love! Cute little convenience store that has a deli with amazing breakfast burritos. The service was great and the burritos only took a few minutes to be ready. There was a case of ready made sandwiches, lasagna, casseroles that all looked great, too. We got two burritos: one bacon and one sausage and added potatoes, avocado, and sour cream with spicy salsa. They are huge and came out piping hot. I would definitely add potatoes and avocado next time but would skip the sour cream. All street parking but we went on a Tuesday, so we easily found a spot. We always also pick up their beef jerkey which is made in house and one of the best - I especially enjoy it when it is thin and almost crispy. Location in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path, Ma and Pa's is a Long Beach staple. Both exterior and interior are old school with touches of vintage, old LBC. They offer a few grocery items and other staples as well as cold drinks, snacks, and candy. Also hot meals for lunch and dinner besides breakfast burritos, which I have yet to try. There is seating in the front and in the back garden patio. Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. Little Free Library in the front. What a cool cozy store and i love the area it's located in. I actually came here for the fried chicken on a saturday but was told they only had it on wends so make note if you want chicken its wends only. So i opt for the steak and potatoes, garlic noodles and it was very good! I though they cooked it but i guess not lol. I took it home and pan cooked the steak. Based on what I had read, we were eager to try it. Went mid afternoon, mid week. Hubby got the highly recommended fried chicken with 2 sides, mashed potatoes and a cold pasta salad. I had the supposedly "best breakfast burrito ever". OK, all of his food was nuked! We did not ask for that. Microwave chicken was rubbery as a result, and the breast was stringy. The mashed potatoes were warm on only the very top and ice cold throughout. Ick. And the pasta salad was hot!! Huh? Again, ick. My burrito was just OK, certainly not the best and rather ho hum. Based on what I had read, the bacon was supposed to be 'thick and crispy" so that's what I got for my burrito. What little bacon there was were small chips and a few chunks that were hard as rocks and had no flavor. What is all the hype about? Who serves ice cold mashed potatoes and who nukes a cold pasta salad? The burrito was not as large as I had hoped for the price and was smaller than most. They did not even give me a plate for my meal. When I asked how to get to the back patio a kid working there said 'turn left and use your satellite'. So we sat out front.
