the order form for a cake order
    Tiera A.

I ordered a cake for today and when I got here they told me that the baker never made it for me. I paid when I ordered and gave them a copy of the receipt. They tried to make it right by giving me another cake of my choice, but my son didn't want any of them. The pre-made were were either buttercream or chocolate and he likes white cake with whipped topping. My son was so upset.

I want to take the time to recognize Alexa from the Bakery. She did outstanding on my nieces' cake. From the time I walked in she had great customer service and we instantly clicked. She took the time to listen and ask what I would like done to the cake to make it perfect for our special girl. It's not often that good customer service and a caring person works in retail anymore. Definitely a breath of fresh air to know someone like Alexa works so close to home. If you need a cake or any of your baking needs, go to Food 4 Less and see Alexa in the bakery. Thank you again!!

    The line is always long!

The line is always long here. What's the point of having 9 registers if you only gonna use 2 and maybe 3 during rush hours. Manager need to be retrained for sure. Epic fail of a store.

This Food4Less would not refund me for ice cream that was without a seal. I immediately went back to the store within 15 minutes of purchasing the ice cream and was rudely handled by the manager on duty, Alejandra. She refused to give me a refund because I had taken the ice cream out of the store. As if I'm expected to check every product I buy before leaving the store to make sure that the integrity of my food had not been compromised. Isn't that the store's job? I asked for Alejandra's supervisor and she told me to come back tomorrow morning. I was going to leave the icecream at the store but she said, "You can't leave it here. You take it home and you can throw it away." Wow. Horrible customer service. If the manager on duty doesn't have the authority to provide an even-exchange/refund for ice cream, what's the point of having a manager on duty?

Aisle where they hav me condiments and it's not labeled.

If I don't have to come here, I won't. The store is clean, and employees/cashiers are polite but my review is based on ease of shopping. Shopping for groceries should be a joyful thing. But coming to shop here always leaves me frustrated asking myself why I come here. The aisles aren't labeled correctly, food items are in the most random spots and I truly don't understand how to shop here. Compared to other Food 4 Less's I've been to, this is my least favorite. I give it 2 starts because it's never packed (but I ask myself why people don't come here). They're always out of the things I need to buy. There is no "chips" area which I find baffling because everyone eats chips. All the chips are scattered on end caps. I will keep coming here for things I truly need that I can only find here or if it's the only choice I've got but other than that, I'll visit other grocery stores.

I actually like this grocery store aside from Stater Bros which is where I normally shop. It's a very large market with a better variety to choose from. Prices on most items are pretty much the same, but they have good deals on things I need. The alcohol is definitely cheaper. I always come here when I need to buy myself some draanks. They have tons of options when I am cooking Mexican food, who doesn't love Mexican food! There is also a deli and bakery inside. Desserts are a lot cheaper than Stater Bros. They have a huge selection and delicious cakes and cupcakes. There is also a large rack of gift cards with tons of options. Parking outside really does suck. It's always busy here and the parking lot shares with a lot of other stores and banks. People walking never pay attention to the cars. I enjoy coming here to get my shopping done.

Looked good and super cheap, but it was stale. It tasted ugly and had to be thrown away.

.., meet Whittier's Uptown hero!…read more My experience here was from 6/26/26 & it did not disappoint. Though I've been to Uptown Provisions twice before to support my friend Andrew M, as well as my other friend Andrew P. with Satori Coffee Project, this was my actual visit where I finally ate! Third times the charm! Tucked nicely into a Penn St. neighborhood, Uptown Provisions can easily be spotted by the loyal patrons waiting/dining outside. May the street parking gods be kind to you as they always provide me with a spot nearby. Knowing what I already wanted from doing my menu homework the night prior, I was practically drooling on my way in. Greeted by a great staff & friendly fellow patrons, I felt right at home. I went with the "Tom's Way" sandwich. Dedicated to one of their favorite customers, it's a crossover between an egg sandwich & a pastrami. It was perfect! Chef Aaron describes his sandos as the perfect West Coast sandwich, & that I can totally agree with. Tom's Way provided me with a robust sandwich blend that never knew I needed until now. Each component's flavor profile blended together nicely. I'm usually hit or miss with rye bread, but this rye hit the mark & held the ship together. The eggs were made with care & prepared in a way I've never tasted before, very delicious. Pastrami was tender, pickled onions provided the bitter tangy component while the broccoli slaw became the soothing blanket that nestled every flavor together. I absolutely loved my sandwich. They post a 20 minute wait time but I got mine in 15. Great things come to those who wait. They do not have a public bathroom so plan your visit accordingly. They have a few counter seats inside with plenty more outdoor seating in front with friendly locals chatting it up. Don't be shy with the napkins. Thank you Uptown Provisions for a great experience, I shall return!

I absolutely love this Vallarta Supermarket in Whittier!…read more Whenever I go, I find everything I need, and I always come across great deals, too. The produce is super fresh and has a huge variety, just like the meat, cheese, and chicken--all top quality. I love that they have a special section with a wide selection of Mexican sweets, and the bakery is amazing with a huge assortment of sweet bread, bolillos, and cakes for any event. Plus, they prepare ready-to-eat food like rice, carne con chili, various dishes, hot tamales, and a variety of aguas frescas. You can find most of the products you'd find in Mexico in the aisles, making it a great store if you're looking to feel at home. They even have a seating area with tables if you'd like to eat there. And best of all, the staff is incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!" Thank you very much

Lunchtime is obviously one of their busiest times, so you would expect the food area to move much faster -- especially when most of the food already looks premade and ready to go. There was only one person helping customers while several other employees were standing behind the counter. Management really needs to improve efficiency and customer service during rush hours. People come here on limited lunch breaks expecting fast and convenient service, but unfortunately that wasn't the experience today. The food is good, but the long wait and lack of urgency made the visit frustrating.

Unfortunately, that experience has completely changed. Every single time I come in now, the only thing open is self-checkout. If I wanted to scan and bag all my own groceries, I could go to Food 4 Less or ALDI and save money while doing it myself. The whole reason many of us shop here is because we expect better service. It's incredibly frustrating to spend premium grocery prices and still have to do the work ourselves. On top of that, bagging groceries properly actually matters -- especially when buying produce, eggs, meat, or fragile items. Employees who are trained to bag groceries make a difference, and it's disappointing that customer service seems to be disappearing completely. I understand stores are trying to cut costs, but eliminating staffed checkout lanes is hurting the customer experience. Long-time customers notice the difference, and it honestly makes me question why I should continue shopping here instead of going somewhere cheaper. I really hope management starts valuing customer service again and keeps actual checkout lanes open consistently.
