The place was very nice and the food was very good they had live music . It was resonable and had a great view! It also has complimentary valet parking.

Found this place on a search and wanted to check it out based on the rating. Made an easy reservation. Didn't know it was part of a hotel/resort, but that made no difference. Parking was accessible and plentiful. Definitely a quiet atmosphere during our visit We assumed it was a favorite local spot, but was definitely not busy during the lunch hour we went on a weekday. The hostess was super friendly and welcomed us in to our reservation. Kept it simple and just ordered two lunch items. Only appetizer we hit was oysters and were good. Small but fresh. Grouper sandwiches were different but very good. Our waitress, April, was attentive and pleasant in attending us. Definitely will make an effort to visit again.

Seared scallops (came with 4) and Parmesan polenta. Outstanding!

The food and service were outstanding. We sat on the patio out back overlooking the grassy dunes and the pier. The fish bites (grouper) appetizer was amazing-- the best dipping sauce! The grouper fish and the fingerling hot potato salad was delicious. Not pictured but the whole grilled snapper was so tasty and flaky- definitely would order again.

Everything about this restaurant was great. Our server was the sweetest, the food was top notch and the atmosphere was cozy. We didn't even make past appetizers (wasn't a bad thing) before we were full. I can only imagine how good the entrees were if their apps were this good.

    Gulf of Mojito. Yum!

I had the tuna and it was so good. But the best thing was the gulf of mojito cocktail. It reminded me of a blue Hawaiian. So good! The ambiance was nice with a beautiful view of the beach and our waitress was perfectly accommodating.

We ate here for our first official night of vacation! We made reservations weeks in advance to make sure we got in and it was delicious! I got the gulf fresh catch & my daughter got the sweet tea chicken tenders. Then the dessert...the peach crumble and oats thing was indescribable. Our server Alex was so sweet & kept on top of everything! The whole vibe was perfection. 10 out of 10 recommend!

    Breakfast Buffet Fruit Bar

I love their Breakfast Buffet! They have everything you could want from fresh fruit, pastries to scramble eggs, grits, sausage, bacon, sausage and gravy and an excellent omelette station. The drink assortment is great with juices, milk, tea and coffee. You can also get your favorite cocktails from the bar. Addison our server was on his A game today and made us feel very welcome! The restaurant is always clean and welcoming. We will return as this is the off season.

Very cute restaurant with a great view inside a hotel. The menu all looked good. I have a shellfish allergy so my options are always limited. We got the catch of the day that came with Brussels and risotto and it was just okay. I think the food is average for the higher price point. If you go here, sit outside, ocean view and at sunset it's beautiful.

We ate here on three occasions, one for breakfast and the other two, dinner. The breakfast buffet was One of the best I've ever had. Perfect date night ambience. The service was exceptional except our last visit seemed the waitress was friendly but really got side tracked easily. Overall good experience. For dinner, we had the ribeye steak and fish and chips which was by far the best dish! The next night my wife had ribeye and I got the catch of the day which was a red snapper grilled. Was good but fish and chips was a home run. Personal opinion, Disappointed with Bacon jalapeño shrimp appetizer. . . No easy way to eat it and just didn't wow us flavor wise. Highly recommend Foodcraft overall though.

The BEST meal we have had all year!!!! This place is gorgeous and watching the sunset over the beach as we ate was magical! Our server was so sweet and personable she made our dinner such an enjoyable experience. The drinks, appetizer and our meals were all cooked and or made to perfection! It is SO rare that everything start to finish just keeps getting better! Afterwards we went outside to sit by the fire and watch the stars...such an incredible place! My only critique is they have some great gluten free and allergy friendly options but maybe they need to add a gluten/dairy free dessert.

The service was a bit slow but the food was wonderful, hence the 4 star rating. The place was beautiful and as we sat outside, overlooking the beach, it couldn't have been more peaceful. As the sun set, the staff brought out little lamps for each table, but it was still pretty dark. Having some hanging lights above would have helped. Our group of 5 ladies ordered steaks, salmon, snapper, pasta, and crab cakes. And we shared the bacon & shrimp stuffed jalapeños. They were delicious. Overall a delicious meal.

We were seated by the window and had the perfect view of the Gulf of America. The food was exceptional and the ambience was very laid-back. Our server Ethan did a fantastic job. Highly recommend visiting Foodcraft.

We saw flying adverts for this place while at the beach, so we figured why not?…read more We found it pretty easily and it gives a very comfortable vibe, so dress up or down they will welcome you in. Our server, Michael was absolutely wonderful. (Plus he has amazing hair!) Anyway, we started with my Smoked Old Fashioned (It was ok, bartender went a little heavy on the bitters, and I should've asked for Bulleit Rye but that was my bad.) Anyway, Honey got a Black and Blue. Both came out super quick and we were instantly refreshed. We chose to sit in the patio bc the weather was nice and not too hot or cold. It was just right. We started with the ColCannon Boxty Appetizer. It is small balls of shredded potatoes that are fried, and come with a delish aioli dipping sauce. We chose to split the Shepherds pie for our main course. The meat gave me meat loaf vibes but with a ground beef texture and a unique aftertaste.. It was good, just the texture is unique! It came with a small portion of the Brown Bread with Garlic butter. It was good! We asked for more Garlic butter. It was delicious! We would've ordered a Creme Brûlée but we were both stuffed. It was overall a great place and we will visit it again. A must visit if you are in Orange Beach!

Quick summary:…read more Reuben: Below expectations Fish & chips: Met expectations Chicken pot pie: Below expectations Wings: Below expectations Old Fashioned: Below expectations Guinness: Met expectations French 75: Met expectations I had heard great things about this place, so my expectations were high. The inside bar area is very cool, but it was extremely loud at night. If you're eating dinner, don't expect to have much of a conversation. We ordered several of the things they're supposedly exceptional at, and most of it was just "meh." The Reuben was the biggest disappointment. It was supposed to be one of the best Reubens around, but honestly, Arby's is just as good. If you want a truly exceptional Reuben, go to Napoleon House in New Orleans. The fish and chips were fine. The wings were also okay, but nothing memorable. The chicken pot pie was unique and clearly made fresh. It contained shredded chicken, which was a little different, and had a strong spice flavor that I couldn't identify (tarragon). I didn't dislike it, but I wouldn't reorder. The Old Fashioned was disappointing. The Guinness and French 75 were both good and met expectations. None of the food was actually bad. We simply had much higher expectations based on the restaurant's reputation and what we were told they do exceptionally well. Service was good, and the atmosphere was cool. Overall, it's an interesting place, but the food didn't live up to the hype. Clearly, I'm in the minority because this place has excellent reviews--especially on Yelp, where reviewers can be pretty tough. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews because food is subjective, and this may simply be a "tomayto, tomahto" situation. Everything I found average could be amazing to someone else. This was just my experience.

I have a few faves like the cheesy mushrooms and the BBQ shrimp, and nowadaya you can't just look at the regular menu. You have to check out their daily specials board because they are constantly knocking it out of the park with creative new dishes and fresh catches. The atmosphere is just even more welcoming, but the outdoor seating is much improved with some sand and stage, perfect for enjoying the coastal breeze. They updated their operating hours too, so they are now open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM. We were seated on the corner of the patio, which provided a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. Several other guests warned us about aggressive seagulls, but thankfully they weren't an issue during our visit. To start, we ordered the buffalo dip. It was tasty and well-prepared, though it was fairly simple and something that could easily be recreated at home. For my entrée, I ordered the sourdough burger without onions and added bacon. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My husband went with the Double Pony Burger, which was absolutely massive. He thoroughly enjoyed it and had no complaints. I also tried the Seven-Headed Dragon cocktail, which is similar to a Long Island Iced Tea. It was delicious, packed a serious punch, and is definitely not a drink to underestimate! Our server was friendly and pleasant, although there were a few times when he seemed to disappear for a while, and our food took a bit longer to arrive than we expected. Even so, the atmosphere helped make up for the wait. As we were finishing up, they were getting ready to start karaoke, which looked like it would be a lot of fun and added to the lively beach-town vibe. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, the waterfront setting, and the laid-back atmosphere.
