I wish that I had three hands so I could give it three thumbs down!!! Food is way overpriced, and the vendors do not know how to add any type of seasoning to their food. Everything that I had was bland. Luckily for me, I did most of the samples so I didn't get "over taxed" too much but still not worth it. Between the parking fee, the entrance fee and the food you can go to a very nice restaurant. Stay home or pay a few extra dollars to go to a very nice place. By the way drinks on average is about $20 and this is just for lemonade and iced tea.... We ended up going to a well known restaurant to get dinner!

There are so many kinds of food you can try. The food was average, not wow in flavor. It was expensive compared to different food festival. The parking was $25 dollar The entrance $10 per person I went there around 4 pm. It was still early, less people, no line for food.

Pizza sushi from Sushipizzeria this was by far my favorite food from here

Rodeo Uncorked! has an array of wine events during rodeo season. They host a wine auction and an…read moreinternational wine competition. They also operate the wine garden during the rodeo. Additionally they offer wine tasting/wine pairing seminars leading up to the rodeo. One of their popular events is the Rodeo Uncorked! Roundup & Best Bites Competition (RUBB). I attended the 2025 RUBB and it was a lot of fun! Tickets: You can purchase GA tickets or table tickets (reserved and premium). Table tickets are sold by wine committee members. My ticket for a seat at a reserved table was $200. It's pricey, but the proceeds go towards scholarships. The biggest benefit to having a table ticket is the early entry. We were able to enter the event 30 minutes before GA ticket holders. We didn't use the table as much as I thought we would, but it was nice to have a place to sit and leave jackets as we were on our feet for a few hours. Our table was in a quiet area. Attire: They encouraged rodeo/western wear or wine country chic, but there's not a strict dress code. Some people were dressed down while others were dressed up. The one thing I would advise is to wear comfortable shoes. Location: NRG Center in halls D and E. Parking: Self parking and valet were both free! There was also a designated area for ride share drop off. There were volunteers in golf carts who were available for rides to and from the parking lot. Food and Wine: There were 100 food vendors and 450 wines. All throughout the event, they kept telling us to pace ourselves. There were vendors from Raising Cain's to higher end restaurants like Patton's. I left my brochure at the event, so I can't recall who all was there but it was awesome. There's so much food and wine and there's no limit on how much you can eat and drink. The media judges had an area where they sampled food for the competition. Attendees received five tokens that were used to cast votes for the People's Choice Award. I got carried away with sampling everything and only used one of my five tokens. I don't know who won any of the awards because I was in my own little world eating and drinking my way through the event. One of my favorite samples was a hotdog from Padres Wine Bar. They found a way to elevate a hotdog and I almost went back for a second helping. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to vote for them (unbeknownst to me, voting ended at 8 pm). I also enjoyed the JCB Brut which can be purchased at H-E-B! I've already added it to my grocery list. I appreciated the bottled water tables spread throughout the event hall. It's easy to get distracted with all of the food and wine, but don't forget to hydrate! Those small wine pours start to add up after awhile. Misc: The event is always held on a Sunday night. My cousin advised me to take the day after off and I didn't listen to her. I will be putting in a PTO request now for next year's event so that I can have a day to recover.

WOW, this event takes the cake! As a pre-rodeo event, this one is always highly anticipated…read more Tickets sold out before I committed to getting one in 2024 but not this year! I purchased bright and early and I was so glad! Desire the $165 price tag for the best bites and roundup components so worth it. You get unlimited food and bites, coupons for free food/drinks at some participating venues, and swag! The crowd is lively, the vendors are excited and the food and wine are delicious! My friend and I loved our time there. There were some long lines here and there but gave you time to digest your last bite. The fact that we get to vote for best bites adds to the fun! You get to keep your wine glass as a souvenir. I'll be back!

I came in 2016 on a very windy day and was able to sample a few of the trucks. At the gate, they…read moregive you 5 tickets, which are good for drinks. Also, some vendors give out free sample cards. One thing I hated about the festival is the design/location of the entrance. The entrance is along the freeway side of the parking lot and every person entering has to walk all the way to the front, where there is no parking to enter. They should move it to the back (closer to the building) where people are actually parking. Drinks in the wine tent (as they call it) range from bottled water, to craft beers and wine vendors, to off brand cokes to Vita Coco coconut juice. I ended up getting 1 beer and 3 coconut juices. I tried food from the bird food truck, bundt cake a holic and scratch food truck. The southern comfort bundt cake was really delicious and wish I would have purchased a whole cake during my visit. I ordered a $5 combo meal at the Bird with 3 chicken wings and waffle fries. I had the wings tossed in their habanero sauce, but was not impressed because not only was it not spicy, it tasted like a typical buffalo flavor you get anywhere. No hint of habanero anywhere to be found. The waffle fries were very good though. From Scratch food truck, I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich. This came out piping hot with chimichurri sauce and red onions on top. It was very good as well. I wish I had more time to stay longer and try some other food trucks that I haven't ever tried, and also even pay attention to the music.

Thank you to Farrah, our lovely CM, for the complimentary tickets! Walking around, we started with brisket eggrolls from Wokker TX Ranger -- four eggrolls for $6.00 and they were absolutely delicious! Charlie ordered the Poutine Style Fries topped with fried chicken, bacon bits, and GRAVY from D'Lish Curbside Bistro while I chose to stand in the longest line at the park: Cousins Maine Lobster. My only regret is not ordering two servings of the lobster tacos! Craft Burger had their truck closed down by 3:30 which was a major bummer. I took a photo of the menu description of their Pecan Porter milkshake (maple bacon bourbon milkshake with candied bacon sprinkles) and was REALLY looking forward to having that for desert :p My only complaint for the day was the drink ticket system.. You are given a total of 5 drink tickets: waters cost 2 tickets, sodas required 3, and beer was 4 or 5 tickets! Just left me feeling a bit cheated to only have one beer with almost $20 a person to get in. Yes yes -- I was a lucky one getting tickets from yelp but a few of our friends declined coming out because of the entry cost. Charlie and I made sure to grab some awesome Texas t-shirts from Haus of Growlers before heading out. Check out their website for neat Texas and beer themed shirts and growlers! http://hausofgrowlers.com/
