Saag Lamb -- a bit grassy
    Eric H.

Tikka House Indian Eatery has taken the placed of the renowned Zenon Mexican Restaurant. Most dishes I've had of theirs are pretty decent. For example, their Bhatti de Paneer is well-spiced. They also offer a version of Chicken 65 that isn't half bad, though their rendition is on the saucy side and lacks crisp. Their Saag Gosht is a negative for me; it had too "bright" of a grassy, spinachy flavor, very uncharacteristic of a saag dish. The service was friendly enough, and they've definitely transformed the inside of the restaurant from when it was Zenon; the interior is remarkably different.

Very good spot to eat at. Really enjoyed the chicken, tiki masala, the garlic naan, and the biryani one thing to be careful of your food. Will smell like curry had to take a shower and wash my clothes other than that 10 out of 10. The Nepalese server was also very kind. Give her a raise!

Tikka house is very close To my place of business on N Lamar. This is the first time I actually went it to eat during lunch. Place is small but inviting and there is enough parking spaces outside to park. Inside dining room was clean and service was good. We ordered couple of entrees with garlic naan and Lacha paratha and everything came out piping hot and fresh. Really enjoyed the food and they made it spicy to our liking. Wil be coming here for lunch more often since it's walking distance from me..

It is the type of day that makes you want to eat comfort food. Bombay to Kathmandu was the ideal place for some lentil soup and naan. My soup was steaming hot and my naan quite tasty. Walking into Bombay to Kathmandu feels like being transported around the world. The beaded curtains, tin doors and other Indian Nepali artifacts made the place appear authentic. I placed my order with the cashier, who was warm and welcoming. The menu is remarkably diverse, offering classic Indian favorites alongside traditional Nepali dishes, which makes it stand out. The restaurant is known for its momos, curry dishes and aromatic sauces. Importantly, there are plenty of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Their creative fusion items, including curry inspired pizzas are their specialties. My soup was quite generous and filling. Prices are reasonable, and the food consistently delivers big on taste. The staff was friendly and willing to help with spice levels and menu recommendations.

There was one customer waiting, and not another person. I waited about ten minutes. My son loves chicken Tikka masala, so we ordered him some. It is spicy. I'm into a moderate spice, and this is burning my lips as I type. There was no option when ordering online to determine level of spice so we weren't ready for that. Beyond the spice the chicken was tough, so even if the spice was toned down the chicken wasn't great. The tandoori chicken is nice and flavorful and tender. $17 for three drumsticks and two thighs might be a bit steep. Overall not an overwhelmingly good experience.

The restaurant is clean, well decorated and ready for your visit! The staff are super friendly. I drove home with my order and it was piping hot and spectacular. Chicken tikka is spicy, mildly sweet and so delicious. A great way to conquer allergy season! The paneer butter masala had a lot of paneer. Many other locals have tiny bits of paneer in a sea of gravy. At Tamarind you will not be disappointed! Don't miss the potato samosas... Come on Austin, let's show these guys more lunch time love!

As an Indian person myself, I can confidently say the food here is very authentic and reminds me of the flavors my mom cooks with. It's also filled with Indian families and customers, which is always a good sign that the food is the real deal! On my visit, I ordered the egg curry and a dosa, and both were excellent. The egg curry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, while the dosa was fresh, crispy, and delicious. They also have a wide variety of vegetarian options, so there's something for everyone. The food tasted fresh, the portions were satisfying, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, this is one of the better places in Austin for authentic Indian food. If you're looking for tasty, freshly made dishes and a genuine Indian dining experience, I highly recommend checking it out.
