I had a really disappointing experience at the Foot Locker location. I purchased a pair of On Cloudmonster shoes and received 20% off for signing up with my email. I didn't realize until later that I had accidentally purchased the women's version instead of the men's. When I called the store, I was told the system would take about two hours before I could come in to exchange them. I showed up four hours later, only to be told it would now take another two hours from that point to process the exchange. Trying to be reasonable, I asked if I could simply purchase the men's pair that day using the same 20% discount (since it was the exact same shoe at the same price) and return the original pair the following day. The manager on duty, Genevie H, refused and said I would have to pay full price and that the discount would not be honored again, despite the situation being caused by system delays and the shoes being identical in cost. This felt extremely inflexible and poor from a customer-service standpoint. I was trying to work with the store in good faith, and instead I was penalized for something that should have been a very simple exchange. I went here looking for some shoes to buy moms for Christmas. I went to the women's section and it was a lot of shoes so it made it easy to pick some shoes. They had several Air Max's, which is what I was looking for. An employee came over pretty quick to ask if I needed any help, and I told him I was just looking for now. I am not sure about all the bad reviews towards this place, I mean I shopped here before but didn't leave a review until now, plus I always shop at Fashion Valley location because they were the best on varieties, here probably not, they are much smaller, since I didn't leave a review back then, I decided to come in just for a R&R process, I could go back to FV which I didn't because I really want a fresh review; so I was taking pictures of the store, while walking to the front counter, and this man started to question about why I was doing that to his store, I said oh I was Yelping, then he said did you have a bad experience or something, I said no, of course not he said you didn't even buy anything yet, also I explained I like to take pictures for my review anyway, so he did ask me about my day, which I replied it was ok, just hot outside, and he said really it was hot?; he also asked me why I returned my pair of shoes, I said I didn't like the color, then he said they didn't even have this one in stock, they stopped carrying Fila, maybe for his location, but I already known it because FV would just stock those Fila in the back as they're not selling well, plus they don't have a display shelves which was good, they will always be on sales if you don't put them out front. His name is Jeff I believe he is the store manager, it looks like there was some reviews directly to him and his reputation, I can see he was being a little sarcastic and forward, anyway it wasn't that bad, I had encountered worse. I only did one star just to make sure everyone sees my entry. Please note: I do not write many reviews and only do so when really necessary. Also, most of my reviews are positive, not negative.....so, with that being said...... Let me explain to you that I did the right thing first and contacted corporate. That was a big waste of time. So, not only their attitude on the phone, but proof that this man still has a job there- shows, they do not care. So with that being said, as customers you can do more than you know. My son has social anxiety and for him to go in there and shop alone was a huge accomplishment. I placed an order online for the Jordan 13 Flints. My credit card was charged and I received an email confirmation from Footlocker saying that my order was successfully received. I patiently waited for the shoes to be shipped and arrive. I kid you not, 10 days after I placed the order I received another email from Footlocker saying they cancelled the order because they couldn't verify payment information, even though I could see the charge on the card the entire time. My niece had the exact same thing happen to her and received a cancel email the same day I did. I think they must have oversold or something and gave a bogus excuse. Their customer service is the worst. I gave them 1 star, because Yelp wont let me give them ZERO. If you can, stay away from Footlocker and try to use Nike or Adidas, which are 100% better. read more

I would've given this place a 1 star review, but the shoes here boost it up by 2. I ask a friendly sales lady for a shoe I see on display. She had a welcoming tone and went to search for it. However, after a while, she doesn't come out. Okay, maybe she's still looking for it. I can wait. Luis was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me through the process of choosing a new running shoe. He brought out different sizes of all the shoes I tried on to give me a variety. That Jeff person is a real tool. Some people don't go into stores often and when they do, it's probably because they either know exactly what shoe they want or it's the opposite--they don't. For me, it was the latter and when you're asked twice if you need something and you say "no, thank you" both times, that should mean, leave me alone until I ask you for help. As the tech industry is rising at steady speed with online shopping available to a person, one should figure it's because people like him steer consumers to purchase online. First, I go in and he asks if I'm looking for something specific. I say "no, thank you" and I keep browsing the kid's section because I can fit those sizes. I go over to the women's section and I find some Nike's I like which happen to be on sale and he comes over and asks if I need help. I ask him if they have my size. He tells me the shoe I was looking at in the women's section is a men's size and that they don't have them in my size and walks away. So I keep browsing. His associate comes over and tells me if I need any help, to ask him. I find the same shoe in a different color. I ask his associate for my size and he says the shoe I'm holding is in my size and that I can try it on. After I'm done trying it on, Jeff comes over and snatches the shoe out of my hand and puts it back on the shelf and says he can grab the shoe from the back for me to try on and says again that the shoe is a men's size even though I literally just tried the shoe on and it fit perfectly like all my other Nikes. Then he says "you must know better than I do" in a condescending/sarcastic tone. I leave the store because of his fat dumbass. Haven't been to a foot locker in a long time. Went in for a pair of converse on clearance from the website. Everyone on staff was very helpful. Joey went above and beyond to find our shoes, and even brought us out others he thought we'd like. Went in for one pair-bought 4 pair! And a couple cool tshirts. I would give this place a zero if I could. Worst costumer service ever! First when we went to the store nobody was around to help us until 20 minutes later someone asked me if i needed help. The guy who did help us kept forgetting the shoe size i requested and i had to remind him that i was still waiting for a shoe. Then i was told that they would put the two shoes on hold for my online order pick up. So last night when we came home we placed the order for the shoe and online it said our order was already available. My husband goes to pick up my shoes today and they said they didn't have the shoe anymore, they sold them. I don't understand why nobody checked the system when they opened this morning to insure that they did not sell someone else's shoes. Like isn't that the smart thing to do knowing you have online order pick ups at your location? Then they claimed that we were never charged for the shoes but on our bank statement we were charged. So not only have we been charged for the shoes but we won't be receiving them because they are not competent enough to do there job. Stop hiring incompetent people! I'm very disappointed with the service I received from the manager Jeffery. I purchased a pair of shoes as gift for my cousin that is in the military who will be deployed to Korea tomorrow. I called the Camino Del rio (mission valley) location as I was sitting in the fashion valley mall because I needed to exchange her shoes before she deployed but they were closed. I decided to call the Camino del rio store to check if they were still open. Jeffery the manager answered. I asked what time did they close because I needed to exchange the gift that didn't fit. He told me they closed in 30 minutes and to just come back tomorrow because I'll have more time to shop. I informed him that it would have worked but I really wanted to give the gift before she left and I was only 5mins away from the location. Long story short, he was very persistent on telling me to come in the next day even after I told him it wouldn't be possible. When I arrived to the store 5 mins later he told me to come to the counter well actually he RUSHED me to the counter to return the shoes and said that I can come back tomorrow. This was now the fourth time he suggested that I come in the next day!!! with 25mins left until closing and my cousin whom which I'm exchanging the shoes for, standing next to me feeling discourage that she may not be able to get her gift. I suggested to him that he doesn't imply that we come back tomorrow and to let us look for a different size or shoes of her liking. I also told him how he made me feel VERY uncomfortable and rushed. When my cousin found the shoe she desired, Jeffery said that she will have to take the display...I suggest that he first check to see if that was the last pair before he says she has to buy the display. In the end there were two pairs in the back so she wouldn't have to take the display. I found this information out by talking to another associate to check the back stock. Bottom line is this.... As a manager, your job is to set the tone and lead as example. I feel that the staff outside of Jeffery does a very good job at customer service but the manager should be put through the proper training to learn what it means to NOT make a customer feel un- welcomed.
