The $25 they advertise is probably for their 1/2 hour foot massage. Their hour long foot massage is $35. They tried to upsell their combo massage which is half foot and half body for $45. I suggest you getting the regular $35 massage. It felt more like a combo body/foot massage than a foot massage. I think about 40-45 minutes is spent on the foot and 15-20 minutes for the body. That could be great for a lot of people, but I actually wanted my foot massage to be longer. Their upper-body massage was a bit awkward since they massage you over your clothes. The clothes, depending how many layers you wear, can get in the way. So it's not the most relaxing in my opinion. I rather do a proper full body if I wanted a body massage. I think foot massages should be mostly foot, then a little legs and head/scalp. The masseuse did her job well. I like how they lay you down in their comfy chair and put a towel over your eyes. That makes it easy for you to fall asleep. Also, it avoids the awkward eye-contact you have to endure at other places where you sit reclined up, facing your masseuse. Overall I liked my massage. They don't speak English all that well though. So if you want to communicate something a bit more complicated than the basic, "I would like the foot massage," it might be difficult. read more

Then towels were placed over our bodies and the therapist started at our scalps and temples first. Surprise! With temple/scalp work and neck and shoulder massaging feeling pretty darn good, I was looking forward to how my feet would be. Nothing bad to say about the actual workers or the massages but I really dislike the attitude of the male manager who works in the front. We had called and asked for Lily, plus another female. I wanted to repeat myself because he seemed that he wasn't listening, but he hung up on me. When we arrived Lily was busy with someone else and there was no other female available. Then at the end I had simply tipped 10% for each massage; they were nice but I didn't appreciate the unnecessary mix up. He looked at me, visibly bothered and asked "Is that it? This place is almost a perfect 5 stars except for the fact that walk-ins is not their thing. They're mostly by appointments so you need to be aware of that.. I had the one hour foot reflexology. As a first timer, they gave a GREAT $10 discount so it ws $25 instead of $35. You sit in a lazy-boy type chair, covered in towels and start off with a foot soak. While that's happening, you get a head, shoulder, neck, arm and hand massage. NOTE: You need to understand this is not your spa resort type of massage. Asian massages tend to be on the painful side. Many reviews say it's as if they're taking their aggression out on you and yes, it feels like that. You make sure you say something if you can't stand the pain. After the foot soak, you get your feet and legs massaged. Following, you're asked to turn around onto your stomach. Their chairs recline fully horizontal and your face is over a hole on the back of the chair. They put a paper towlel of the hole and the paper towe has slits so you can breath through it. Now, you get a massage on the full back. They put a towel over you so your clothes aren't messed up in any way. An hour passes and you now have to go back to reality. The mall places offer hour-long foot reflexology for the same price but they strictly massage your feet and legs, none of what you will get here. I'm seriously SO SHOCKED at the bad reviews!! My sister was visiting and we went 2 days in a row!! We got the body treatment both days and we walked out feeling SO relaxed and gooey. They do very very deep pressure, so you have to like that kind of massage. At $55 for an hour you are fully clothed in one of their chairs that lies flat. There are around 8 chairs lined up, similar to a nail salon. They cover you with towels and use no oil. Totally worth every penny. This is not a luxurious spa, this is a completely different environment. In fact, I'll be cancelling my massage envy membership to go here instead. I feel like I get more out of the massage. I saw multiple folks getting the foot massage and to me it looked like the therapists knew what they were doing? I recommend Kaycie and Wang - but they may only do the full body massage. Came here after a day of running around & helping with my friend's baby shower. It is located on the second floor of the plaza on the corner. The sign outside says "Foot Reflexology $25" which was weird because we were quoted $35. I am really torn. I really want to like this place. There were times when the massage was sooo relaxing, I didn't want it to end. But then there were times when I felt like the masseuse was secretly taking her aggression out on me, enjoying the torture she was inflicting on me; I honestly thought she was going to karate chop me in half! Next the masseuse reclined my chair and began with a nice, soothing facial/head massage for about five to ten minutes. She then worked her way down to my shoulders, arms, and hands. I wished they had given me a "map of my feet" prior to the massage so I knew which areas she was concentrating on so I made a mental note to ask for one after the massage. She massaged all the way up to my knees, down my legs, pounded on my calves, and back down to my feet, all the way down to the toes. At the end of twenty-five mintues each foot/leg, she asked me to turn over and she began to work on my back. Aaay...JesusMariaJosef! A relaxing back massage it wasn't. It was like she was giving m a deep tissue massage over my clothes, but like hella harder! I usually like my neck massages and yes, at times I did like it, but for the most part she was hella rough! She poked and prodded, and a couple of times she put all her weight on me, so much so that I couldn't breathe. Dude! I'm 90 pounds, you will crush me! Then there was this karate chop action that she was doing that made me cough because she was so aggressive. I should HAVE asked for her to take it easy, maybe for next time. The ending was a bit abrupt. She slapped my back a couple of times and said, "Okay, finish." Ohh, okaaay. The end. Despite everything, I still would like to come back and give them another chance. For next time, I would definitely voice out my complaints so I can enjoy the massage completely. Really enjoyed my 1 hr foot massage. They do more than just the foot. They massage your head, shoulders, arms, feet, then you turn over and they massage your back and neck. I didn't notice any of the other yelpers mentioning it but they also do the back of your legs which includes your butt. Just a quick squeeze there, no big deal but be aware for anyone that cares about that stuff. The place is one big room so no private rooms. You are clothed the whole time. Wear something comfy like your gym clothes. I wore my yoga clothes. They massage over your clothes. They put a towel over you. Also wear pants that you can easily roll up because in the beginning you get a warm water soak for your feet. Really liked my massage. Only things I would change is hotter water for the foot soak and maybe warmed towels when they place it over you. I'll be back again! They take walk ins but I recommend making a reservation. My husband and I showed up on grand opening day, hoping that they would rub our body aches and stress away with their magical hands. However, we found ourselves to be their guinea pigs, their practice tools. The workers had no idea what they were doing, no routine whatsoever. I will say that if you are a person who does not like a firmer pressure massage/foot work then it may not be the place for you (maybe that's why some people are not giving 5 starts line I am?). I am pregnant so they modified my chair and massage accordingly and I loved that! I was so comfortable and the massages have really helped me in the pregnancy. They work your head, neck, shoulders, arms all while your feet sit in a very warm water bath. The chairs are very comfortable and easy to be relaxed in. My friend bought 10 sessions (10% off) and has been raving about this place. We went together as part of my birthday treat, and she made the appointments. If you're going, park in the back (if you're looking at the Ulfert's Center from the back, park all the way to the right) and you can walk right upstairs to their corner store. The inside is simple, clean (a bit on the "moth balls" side), the lighting is medium-low and the colors are shades of white, gray, and light yellow for the tiling pattern along the wall. It doesn't feel shady in any way, everyone's in one huge room (doesn't feel cluttered), and you remain clothed. We both got 1 hour reflexology for our feet & legs, but they also focus on other parts, like your shoulders, head & neck. Reflexologists are different from massage therapists. Our reflexology sessions were deep pressure, where they locate specific points, hold them, and then "roll" or move away from them. I love massage therapy, but this is more acute & specific. If you've been on your feet a lot and need some TLC, this is one of the best reflexology places in the East Bay. Very clean, quiet, nice little place. It is upstairs at the Ulferts center. I have seen it there for awhile but the neon signs and shaded windows made me wary of it. Inside, it is anything but shady. Lots of white and light colors with 2 rows of recliners and a couple tables up front. I did the one hour combo. 1/2 hour foot massage and 1/2 table massage. It was very nice and relaxing. The lady who did my massage didn't speak English and kept speaking to me in Chinese but using hand motions we were able to communicate. I was so happy to find an asian massage place close to home. My friend was skeptical of a place that would only charge $25 for an hour massage so I had to drag her and my mom there. We were all pleasantly surprised. The place looked clean and new. Nice comfortable lounge chairs and there was soft soothing music playing. They have 8 chairs so it would be a great for a girls' night out. First they soak your feet in hot water. The tubs are lined with plastic and not reused so they are clean. While your feet are soaking they give you a head and face massage. After that they massage both feet and calves with oil. You can ask for more or less pressure. My friend actually fell asleep and started snoring! Then they cover your feet with a steeping hot steamed towel. They then use the towels to wipe the oil off your feet. I thought the towels were a bit rough. Then they do a short massage on your legs and then recline the chairs all the way and flip you over to give you a neck and shoulder massage. Very nice. The first visit is $25 and after that it's $35 with a $5 tip. My mom got a man and she said his hands smelled like cigarettes so the manager told him to go wash his hands.
