I really hate going to the dentist. I try to avoid it as much as possible because I always feel like I have to wait for long time. I also have way too many memories of getting my teeth pulled when I was younger. No amount of arcade games and temporary tattoos can make up for tricking a kid into a dentist's seat! Now that I've finally moved past pediatric dentistry (probably a couple years too late..), I'm very happy with Dr. Dang and the staff at Foothill Family Dentistry. Dr. Dang and his staff make the every appointment quick and painless. It seriously takes less than an hour to get your teeth cleaned and x-rayed. I also love how Dr. Dang always has a lot of stories because it can get so boring sitting in the dentist's chair with the inability to talk. The rest of the staff is equally friendly, and it just makes the entire process of going to a dentist much more enjoyable than expected. Awesome experience here! Went here for my mom who unfortunately has no dental insurance....new patients get $49 exam, cleaning and xrays! Dr Dang was great about explaining everything! I've been to Dr Dang about half a dozen times now. I've come to the conclusion that he is not a conservative dentist, like my previous one was. I got a crown done by him last year, and am now wondering how necessary it was. At the time- he said all my teeth look great. Now I'm back 6 months later (with a new insurance), and he's saying I might need two more crowns. Also I was given an intensive X-ray procedure, with about 20 pictures taken which I've never had before. All I made my appt for was a cleaning. It almost seems like they are just trying to milk my new insurance, as much as possible. I regret not getting a second opinion, before going through with the previous crown. read more

This dental place is great! The staff are nice especially the receptionist "Dawn" shes very courteous. The Dentist "Dr. Dang" was really good he got my prep me before pulling my wisdom teeth because it was infected so took antibiotics for a week after that he got my wisdom teeth pulled with little to no pain at all. Then I got my deep cleaning months after that. "Nina" the hygienist was really thorough when cleaning my teeth. It looks and feels clean. I highly recommend this office for my friends and family. Dr. Dang and his staff have been our dental caregivers for years. I initially tried the practice because they offer Saturday appointments, but the quality of care kept me coming back. I have had bad experiences in the past with Dentists trying to get me to have unnecessary dental procedures or baiting and switching on the costs. Dr. Dang and his staff lay out options with pricing and they always explain what is necessary and what can maybe wait a while, so you don't wind up with huge bills. They are genuinely concerned about the patients and the are fast as lightning when you do need more extensive work done. I was forced to use another dentist due to insurance changes, and found that I had been spoiled by Dr. Dang. First off you must know how much I HATE dentist. Everytime I or any one of my family have gone to the dentist they nickle and dime the %$#%$ out of me. Prior to my visit I went to Dr. Aria Irvani. Here is the story: I had an old crown which fell off, that is why I went to see Dr. Irvani. He checked my teeth and gave me the following treatment plan: 1- Implant for the tooth that crown had fell off 2- Crown for the tooth behind the first tooth. I was so sad that they were going to remove my tooth. I made an appointment for removing the tooth and starting the implant process. I really didn't want to remove my tooth but Dr. Irvani assured me that there is way to save the tooth. I trusted Dr. Irvani because I read all good reviews about him. Then I decided to go and see another Dr. I went to foothill family dentistry. Dr. Dang checked my teeth and his treatment plan: 1- He spent 2 hours on my tooth and prepared it for a new cap 2- Second tooth that Dr. Irvani was going to put a crown on just needed filling! Dr. Dang is very honest, and I really appreciate the time he took to save my tooth. He is not like some young doctors who are looking to do minimal work and make so much money. read more

Dr Dang and all his staff are all caring and gentle. Years ago my Dad with Alzheimer's needed some work done. They were awesome with him. Kept telling him all along what was going on (many times repeating the words over and over and over with so much patience) and that kept him calm and not as confused as he could have been. Recently when my daughter needed work on a chipped tooth I looked them up and was thrilled to see they were still in the same place. Judging by other reviews, I must have just caught the entire office on a bad day. I don't mind the dentist at all, but this experience was painful, The assistant was staring in the other direction with the water sucker thing in my mouth and it wasn't sucking up the water so I began chocking on my own spit. I was then told very rudely by the dentist that I needed to sit still-- it got to a point where my gag reflex just couldn't take it anymore and I coughed up everything and I had to sit up and catch my breath and he had to start over on my filling. That was certainly something I've never experienced before! This appointment was in mid august before I was leaving the country for a few months and to this day I cannot chew on that side of my mouth. It's such a disappointment because I really thought the office was clean. The staff wasn't/isn't the most efficient in processing paperwork but that is truly trivial if the dentist did a good job-- if only! Needless to say, I will not be going back. I usually do not write reviews on yelp if they're not very nice (if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything kind of thing) but if I can save someone from going to this location as opposed to going somewhere else and having a good experience then I've done my good deed for the day. read more

So to say I was scarred to see the dentist is an understatement. I was so scarred that as soon as they called my daughter back & shut the door I started crying because I knew I was next! The girl were so patient, kind & caring that they put me somewhat at ease. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years since the last dentist told me I needed over $10,000.00 worth of work (lier). They took my X-rays did a cleaning and explained what I needed done. It would all be solved in a couple sessions. On top of everything they don't make you feel like a loser because you have gone so long without seeing a dentist they understand that some people are scarred & some people have had bad experiences and some just don't have the money. I would recommend Dr. Dang and his amazing staff to anyone he's amazing and the girls are God sent. I had an appointment today for me and my daughter. We had been sick all week along with the rest of California! I made 3 trips to urgent care last week & all times they were packed to capacity! Anyways back to my review! I had an appointment today at 9:00am but overslept. Honestly that's what's happened I'm not going to make up an excuse or lie we just overslept. Mind you I live 30 minutes from the dentist but I love Dr. Dang he's great my kids love him my parents my brothers and sisters & brothers my entire extended family goes to this dentist. So I called at 8:55 and spoke to Nancy and told her that I wouldn't be in by 9:00 it would be 9:30 so should I just reschedule? She placed me on hold and came back and said 9:30 wouldn't work and I would have to reschedule but I could no longer have a Saturday appointment! I was like um yeah no I need Saturday because I work during the week so only Saturday's work and if you can't accommodate I will need to find a new dentist. She said that's fine find a new dentist. I'm still in shock over this it's really a shame that I was treated this way especially since my entire family of like 15 are patients of Dr Dang. He made me call 911 after drilling my mouth in preparation to making a temp before permeant crown placement. My b/p is usually 111/70 pulse 60-90 at rest. After he did his thing. My blood pressure was 247/97 pulse 107. I couldn't walk think. This never happened before in all 44 yrs of my life. Ive been to many types of dentist. I didn't want to go back for my permeant crown. I called him in fear of his final work. He refused to give my money back while my crown was still in the making. So in fear of having a temp. and no more money. I went back. My took has for two weeks after permeant crown. Is killing me. Ive called him asking him if I needed a root canal b4 he did the crown he said no. He showed me a brown spot. He said it didn't stick to his dental tool so its not a cavity. I don't believe this 16 yr experience dentist. First time I ever seen him. He always advertise 40 percent off crowns in penny saver. I looked him up in the dental board b4 I went to him. I need a root canal b4 I actually loose my tooth. He prob. knows but doesn't want to give my money back. read more
