I really wanted to give this dealership a good review. Unfortunately that is not possible for several reasons. I purchased a vehicle there on 10/7 and have had several unpleasant dealings so far. First off, after being there for 7 long hours and finally getting with the finance guy Kurt he pretty much strong armed me into purchasing GAP insurance at the tune of $1000 before walking out the door. I called my agent first thing Monday morning who warned me about these guys. Needless to say my agent got the coverage for $12 PER YEAR. I've been calling and emailing them for 10 days now to find out who the lender is for insurance purposes. Radio silent. Not one person there will get back to me. Eric in Sales or Kurt & Kyle in finance. I am not concerned about financing as my FICO score is in the 800's, so that's not the issue. I handed them $4000 before walking out of there only to be treated like shit once doing so. I am so disappointed in this entire outfit. Sales staff and financing people are good. The issue I have is it has been about two months since we traded in our car and they are just now paying it off. The only reason they are paying it now is my bank dinged me for a late car payment. So I checked the account and sure enough it wasn't payed off. I called the bank they said they hadn't received anything from them. So I have had to make two car payments on a car I don't have. The salesman is the only person who will return my calls and messages. I am trying to buy a house and this is keeping me from closing. My experience with this dealship has been horrible and only gotten worse with each encounter. First of all they never answer their phones. I recently spent a whole day trying to just make an appt! Secondly they will do their absolute best to not have to repair anything that is promised to be covered under warranty. They had me calling headquarters for no reason and every person I spoke with said something different. Their excuses for not covering under warranty changed with every phone call.. I can go on all day. I highly do not recommended this place. I was given the same recommendation to avoid this place by a lot of people but wanted to see for myself. My husband and I bought a Toyota Tacoma from Foothills a couple months ago. We specifically went there because we had previously had positive interactions with one salesman there. When we were finally ready to buy, we had a terrible experience. First of all, the process took several hours. I have never spent so long buying a car. Second, we had done a lot of research about fair pricing and when I brought up my research the salesman accused me of calling him a liar (he later apologized after checking with his manager about markups and realizing I was correct). We should have walked out but we were so far in the process that we kept going (we regret that we continued). After finally reaching an agreement we had to later go through the meeting with the financing guy. It was awful. As expected, he tried to convince us to buy all sorts of extended warranties and such. When we declined, he became quite aggressive and hostile. I know he wanted his commission but that was a terrible way to act. My husband loves his new truck but we will never buy a vehicle from Foothills again. read more

Be aware! I don't typically post reviews, but when I was treated poorly here, I had to warn you! I set up an appointment to look at a car that I was planning to buy. They first kept me waiting 20 minutes while the car was being washed (I would have thought they would be prepared for my appointment). While waiting...maybe 15 minutes in...another customer arrived and sat next to me. Once the car was pulled around, that customer was ushered to the car I was there to buy and bought the car! Very rude! I have complained to the manager and written the owner. An "I'm sorry" from the manager and nothing from the owner. Looks like this is how they roll. We went to look at a used Toyota Tacoma that was the #1 pick on our list of cars that we looked at. We got there and were instantly greeted by Ed. We liked him from the beginning, test drove the car, and then decided we wanted to talk numbers. This is where it got ugly. First they started with the listed price - we showed them the internet price and he said "oh, let me check sometime's our system isn't synced". Seriously? Then once we threw a number out (very low) he asked us why we valued it like that and we said we had pulled the numbers from different websites and they all were around this price. We went back and forth for a little not making much ground then he went back to "talk" with his manager and then his manager Chris came out. At first we thought Chris was there to say "Hey sorry we just can't make a deal today - we are at two very different prices". Instead he decided to give us a lesson on Supply and Demand - which was making the whole thing even worse. He also had the NADA and Kelly Blue Book Version of the values which didn't exactly look credible. It was just on a plain piece of paper then I could have typed up in word AND the values were HIGHER then what the car was listed at on the internet. SHOCKER. After we saw that and he said "as you can see the car is valued fairly - if we are talking a few hundred dollars off that's fine but nothing else". We decided to walk. We 1. Liked the car but refused to pay the price of a new one for a 2010 used with 50K miles on it. 2. We really didn't enjoy the way Chris treated us. He even offered to sell us a new one (no sir, we will NEVER buy anything from you.) So we walked. Drove straight to Rodland Toyota in Everett and walked out of there with a fully loaded 2015 Tacoma. read more

Put on your suit and tie before you go. Apparently you will get profiled. I was getting my Suburban a new windshield at Safelite glass, and decided to look at a new Toyota Tundra/Sequoia. Wandered inside and out, looking at vehicles, and no one would engage me. Never actually got to look inside one of the vehicles I was interested in. Too bad they profile based on looks... The dealership is nice and I wouldn't say they're any better than any other dealership as far as the sales portion as it's all the same game. My only helpful input is do not get your car washed at Foothills Toyota. It will scratch your paint for sure and sadly leave visibly dirty spots on the car that you then have to go get cleaned. The service department does a fine job you just have to remember to ask them to please not wash my vehicle. read more

I had never been to Foothills Toyota but bought a used 2005 Toyota Sienna van last year. It was due for its 30,000 service so I took "Mini (Van) Pearl" in to get that done. Jon in the Service Dept. was fun and helpful to work with. Their waiting area is super comfy with different kinds of furniture and tables. I pulled a coffee table up to a leather easy chair and made the table into my desk because I was going to be there for a while! Jon pointed out a "quiet room" with a couch and a few cubicles with computers for customers who preferred that kind of space. I ended up being there from 9:30 - 1:30 because "Pearl" also needed new brake pads on the front (her version of a "pedi"). They have complimentary coffee and two vending machines with different kinds of sodas and bottled drinks so that was nice. I was getting hungry by lunch time so would have liked a vending machine with snacks, too, but next time I will bring a snack with me. When "Pearl" was ready they had washed her sparkling clean and even vacuumed the inside carpet! I love love love my "Pearl girl" and appreciate the way she was treated. She was a very happy girl after the spa treatment she was given at Foothills Toyota!! read more

Recently bought a used Toyota from this dealership. Our experience with the salesperson was good. However, we noticed an issue with the brakes while test driving. Their inspection paperwork showed 7mm of brake pads, so we went ahead and purchased the vehicle. We took it in the following week to Les Schwab and it turns out all 4 rotors needed replacing. This should have been caught during their inspection and disclosed. We knew there was something up with the brakes when test driving, so we had budgeted for possible need for repair just in case when deciding to buy the vehicle, so it wasn't a complete surprise to us. However, we still think the inspection should've been more through and/or more honest. When I replied to a follow up email sent by our salesperson, I explained the issue and our disappointment. I never received a reply, which also was disappointing. Perhaps a courteous response from the dealer would've eased my mind that they strive for thorough and honest inspections on used cars. read more

I wasted a few days trying to buy a certified used Tundra from Foothills. I had been looking at one of their Tundras when I came across another out of state. I gave Foothills a chance to match the price and they did. Actually the price was excellent for a certified vehicle. Everything went south from their. I am in Seattle so I wanted to make one trip, bring a check for the agreed price, test drive the truck, then buy it if I liked it. One trip only. I notified my Credit Union of my impending purchase. I was preapproved for over the amount. The loan officer called Foothills and wanted to start the ball rolling on paper. She asked for some simple invoice paperwork to process the loan. They said they would send it right out...They never did. Instead I get call from the salesman saying someone wants to buy the car right now so I better send a deposit. I tell him we are trying to process a sale so there will be no deposit, sell the truck if you need to. 24 hours later the CU calls me for the paperwork. I call Foothills and ask if the truck was sold, they say no (duh).....I ask where the paperwork is and they claim to have sent it......After hanging up with me they call the CU and tell them that they don't know which paperwork we are talking about....So obviously they lied about sending it.....It is quite obvious that once they sent the paper and committed to a price they could not game it for more money so they wanted to avoid committing....It's also obvious they wanted the deposit as a "hook" to compel me to buy the truck no matter what they tacked on....I cancelled the sale......I just got a bad feeling about this place....Go with your gut and run if you feel like you're being conned!!!! read more

***WARNING*** This is a review from very dissatisfied customer. I had a meeting with Owen Siegrist about a pickup that I was interested. Owen was polite and a great person to work with, and gave me the impression that I was dealing with an outstanding establishment. I ran into problems when I informed Owen that I would not finalize any transactions tonight. I believe that all "major" decisions require an appropriate amount of thought and scrutiny. Shortly thereafter I was confronted with by the manager, who was the standard used car salesman (my personal nightmare). He upped the pressure, and when I didn't fold, he lost interest. It was glaringly obvious that he was more interested in making a deal, than finding me the right vehicle. If I had dealt exclusively with Owne, he would have made a sale. Maybe not that day, but eventually, when I was satisfied with the purchase. When I was confronted by the manager I knew my interests were not important, only making the deal. I would love to go overboard slandering this individual, as he encompasses everything I loathe about car salesmen, but I will resist. You will NEVER gain my business with high pressure sales tactics, in fact you will accomplish the opposite. I am not the type to write reviews, but I expected better service from this establishment. I need to know that my business is appreciated, and that my interests and concerns are important. I am an extremely loyal customer, and will stay with a business that is exceptional. I owned a Toyota Camry Hybrid and my daughter owned Rav 4 both were purchased from this dealership, so we thought we will have the same experience until they came in contact with sales man named Ben. This Salesman is in the wrong business. He tried to be funny but he did not realize that he is racially profiling my kids. He asked their immigration status and whether or not they can pay cash! Is this a new procedure to buy a car from delearship that we are not aware of? One of my kids posted a review... and guess what, they received a call from the manager stating that it was a "miscommunication." Wow!!! It's because, they don't have the color of your skin, have an accent or they don't look like you, they Don't Understand YOU! They do! They are all have a college degree. Because of this, We will never give you any business and will tell every people we are in contact with not to go there. I am looking to buy another Camry and will go to Wilson. I would NOT recommend buying from this business. My partner and I signed off on a truck a week ago and thought it was all a done deal. We were even told they would work to try to get us a LOWER rate than what we signed. I didn't hold my breath for that but I was livid when I got the call today that the rate would actually be DOUBLE what we had already signed. We had previously bought two cars from Foothills in 2014, which was a wonderful experience. So of course when it was time to shop again, they were first on our list. Our salesman was friendly, polite and accommodating. We appreciated him working with our schedule and making time for us when he could. The first sign of issues came when they valued our 2014 Prius at being worth only 7k as a trade in, when even in "fair" condition it KBB'd for 8500-10k. We were able to work our way up to 8k and moved towards the financing process. In the finance room, the finance guy suggested we sign paperwork before there were final numbers, with "hopes" that he could get the best interest rate (but it may change). Never in my car-buying life have I had someone try to get me to sign paperwork without having a final number, especially when the number could get worse, not better. A few other miscues in the finance office (misquoted credit score, not even seeing if we were eligible for the best interest rate through Toyota Financial Service before offering others, etc) and we walked away. They blamed it being Sunday for slow banking (right, why are you open then?), yet we saw several other people go in and out no issue. As two adult women in their late 20's with solid credit and good job history it left us feeling treated as less than or even like someone was trying to take advantage. Our original salesman is the whole reason this place even gets a 2 from me. We've since taken our business to another local area Toyota Dealer -- who offered 8500 for the trade in right away, worked very hard to find the best deal for us and left us feeling respect and satisfied as consumers. read more

I bought a 2016 TRD Sport Tacoma pickup here, and three months later I am still loving it. I previously purchased a 1997 Tacoma 4x4 in Everett almost 20 years ago, and put 250k miles on it without the slightest of issues during that lifespan. I am hopeful this one will treat me as well. My buying experience overall was good, low-pressure, and I got a decent price after 6 hours of haggling. There were some speed bumps along the way, and I was very close to calling it a day when we got a deal worked out. The rest of the staff, with the exception of a Sales Manager that I did not care for, were highly professional and pleasant to deal with. The facility if gorgeous, and they had more options in stock than a lot of the other Toyota Dealers in the area which made me choose them first. Also, they have a lot of different roadway options nearby in the area for test driving the vehicles (side roads, freeway, bumpy roads, etc.) which is nice. I have test driven down in other areas where it is quite difficult to get a vehicle onto the freeway or to get it out on the side roads going 40-50mph, so that is a nice little bonus when you are trying to get a good feel for a car. They also have lower taxes so that will save you some money too. Definitely worth a visit here. read more

Sales focused vs Customer focused-- --I started the sales process via email with Stacey Gosslin and gave her all my details--credit score---Buy out on my car---the negative equity I currently had and what I was looking for in way terms, payments etc. -----------1st the car was misrepresented as having leather seats with the custom "leather package"--- False it's all cloth-----Then we go over payout on mine what the offer looks like a clear number for the negative amount rolled over etc. We just need to do the deal!! --so I agree to the credit being run etc.. I was spot on with my score and everything--BUT then they can't make the deal because the car I'm buying is too old etc. etc . The manager Jess said he's being doing this since 1993 but apparently he doesn't know his lenders well enough to anticipate an issue--Then tries to sell me a different newer car that does not meet any of my payment requirements --There's a name for that- BAIT & SWITCH. Just saying, tread cautiously here, not as honest As I would like, more concerned with getting a sale than listening to the clients real needs read more
