It was fresh & the avocado, pineapple, and mango made it really tasty. I did order Italian dressing, but they gave me French instead. The fried chicken was just okay and tasted more like frozen/pre-made chicken than fresh homemade chicken. After a few bites, my stomach actually started hurting, which kind of threw me off. Now I see why we were the only customers. Footprints completely fell off. The hostess acted like she didn't want to greet us or be bothered. The ac was not on so we were all fanning ourselves with the menus. Mind you it was 87 degrees out. I had to ask multiple times to bring a high chair over for my daughter. One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I've Had -- Ever Let me start by saying I knew Footprints had bad customer service reviews before coming, so I tried to avoid issues by ordering online 25 minutes ahead. My confirmation said my food would be ready between 10:35-10:53 PM. I arrived at 10:20 PM, gave my order info, and was told to wait. No problem -- I went to the bar and ordered two drinks to go. The bartender then tells me I have to wait in the lobby with the to-go cups. Fine. I move. I politely ask both the bartender and front desk if they can check on my food. Both say, "That's not our job. It'll be ready when it's ready." No one checks with the kitchen. Then someone who came in after me and ordered after me gets their food first. I ask the front desk how that's possible -- he shrugs and says, "You ordered online, that's not on me." Still doesn't check with the kitchen. Just keeps handing out food to others, even walks outside calling names for pickup. I end up calling Grubhub to request a refund. While I'm on hold, the food finally comes out -- after 40+ minutes of waiting. The staff member just hands me the bag without a word and walks away. This wasn't about a delay -- it was about the disrespect and lack of accountability. No one took ownership, no one cared. I came to enjoy a night out, and instead left frustrated and disrespected. My significant other has been telling me about this place for three years. Had to enjoy this gym of Caribbean food. The service was quick and fast. You have to wait to be seated very professional. The ambience is very romantic and beautiful. The food was to die for almost fell out of my chair. The order consisted of two rum punches and they poured heavy so B wise drink water after. The order consisted of roti with goat and chicken and oxtails. My favorite was the roti. I cannot wait to go back and try the Calypso wings and an assortment of every dish. Myself and my family were celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday and decided to go somewhere local and close to home which is a walkable distance. We often come to this establishment and are well known by some of the staff. Around 10:00 pm I asked our waiter for the check because we completed our meal. The waiter was a tall guy with locks who is always very nice and I only have only positive things to say about him. Another short man came over and said the manager said we need to pack up and it's time to leave. The posting says the restaurant is open until 11 pm so why are we being asked at 10:15 pm to leave the restaurant. The manager sat there and said nothing. Came here last night with a few girlfriends to celebrate a special occasion. I ordered the Bourbon chicken and shrimp with Cajun spice and it was pretty good. I felt the shrimp and chicken should have had like a spicy sauce to it but overal couldn't complain. Service was pretty decent and our waiter was very sweet to us and accommodating. Even with tax it's $18 so I look at the receipt she presents to me and she up charges me $3. I know the apps like Grubhub and UberEats up charge for the use of the app and delivery but if I call the restaurant directly and pick up my own food how do you then up charge???? UPCHARGE ON WHAT??!! I'm here I ordered directly with YOU I'm picking up myself and was going to pay cash and YOU'RE TRYING TO RIP ME OFF??!! When I asked the cashier why would it cost that much she tells me the price has been this way for a while. I wish I had kept the receipt because it even showed the original price of the plate and that she added $3 onto the price. I also asked how could the apps prices be cheaper than ordering directly with the store. She tried to gaslight me into believing that I ordered the lunch special which of course I know the difference. Then I showed her how the app was cheaper and asked her again how could that be. When I said to her should I just order via the app she became upset and said "do it however you want to" I ordered on the app and she became even more upset took the bag that was already there waiting for me back and refused to return and give me my order. Another server brought me my order. I don't know if management knows this is going on in their establishment but they really need to look into this. He did apologize but that was as far as it went. 1 for the food - I'm a loyal Footprints patron at the Clarendon location so I was expecting the same food quality. Boy was I mistaken!! It was early Sunday afternoon and the place was empty or I would have blamed the poor quality on the idea the cooks were busy but NO! Only 4 people in the restaurants and my food came out lukewarm. The pasta did not have that same "flavor" I expected would match the other location. My salmon was waaaaay over cooked, dry and hard. Coney Island does have some delicious food choices; however, very little to no high quality sit down restaurants, so when I went out to lunch with some coworkers who raved about this place I was very excited; unfortunately, I was left dissappointed with my expierence. I ordered the shrimp stuffed chicken breast with rasta pasta, and I was told that it took a little bit longer to cook because of the preparation involved with it. I just KNEW it was going to be SMACK, because in my mind time = care when it comes to food prep. When it came out it looked pretty good, but the chicken was dryer than the Sahara Desert, and tougher than Flloyd Mayweather Jr. going 12 rounds. I was struggling to even cut it with my knife, and there was barely and shrimp inside. I had to send it back, at that point I just got the rasta pasta with no meat, but that was just okay to me, nothing special. I will say that the service was pretty alright and they took the food back with no problem. In addition, the cornbread they serve you before hand was pretty tasty as well. In the past, I have given five stars, but these last two orders have been very disappointing. The recent order today, was burnt. There was no cheese, and there was definitely no flavor. That was the honey chicken flatbread. Food is too expensive not to receive search for Quality. Their food has always been delicious. No complaints about anything until now. It's right outside Coney Island. This place gets most of its business in summer. Consistently they have seemed unprepared to handle some customers. Even when it's not busy and you're about the only one there, you can expect a long wait. It's crazy because the food isn't anything memorable. The food is mostly like typical bar food with fried and greasy stuff. I came in the last time on a warm fall day with my friend. I ordered the Alize Gone Bananas that was on the drink menu. This was actually really good and by far the best part. It's about $10 or more for a cocktail. That's kind of expensive but it's typical around here. Even though it's not exactly a fancy place, it still is a popular area. They can get away with prices like that. Apparently they can also get away with ridiculously high priced food. I had the Tofu And Vegetables. This had your choice of how you want your tofu prepared, plus some very bland vegetables. It's about $15 for the whole thing, which is crazy. You can get away with operating below standard when you are still being patronized we must do better. Walked in on Monday figured it wouldn't be busy. First, you are greeted (actually not greeted) by the hostess because she was helping other patrons with a take out order and attending to mobile orders as well. When she finally acknowledged us we were escorted into the restaurant and seated. We were the only customers in the restaurant. No one else. Our waiter came over with menus and water. We looked over the menu and settled on the veggie egg rolls as an app, one veggie Rasta Pasta with extra broccoli and one Rasta Pasta with fried salmon. Oh and we each got a drink, a "Brooklyn" Long Island Iced Tea and something called a Chi Chi. Appetizer was good it was callaloo, potatoes and chickpeas in an egg roll wrapper. Did come out lukewarm not hot. Again, we were the only customers in there not like the kitchen was bustling. Then the drinks come out. Ok, so my drink was basically like a watered down lukewarm pina colada with barely any alcohol present. His drink tasted like rubbing alcohol both were supposed to be made with Top shelf liquor and they were not. When we raised this issue to the waiter who was also the "bartender" he said that my drink was made with well vodka and his drink was different. What do you mean different? "It is different. We are looking around and just saying that some housekeeping and a possible renovation would do this restaurant some good. Alas, our food comes out. It was lukewarm like the drinks and the appetizer. Why is the food not hot? We are still the only customers here! His Veggie Rasta Pasta didn't have any veggies in it other than red peppers and carrots and a side of broccoli because the waiter didn't want it to get "soggy"...huh? My Pasta was ok the salmon was a bit over cooked. Our waiter/bartender was behind the bar sneaking in some bites of food (definitely not sanitary). Finally came over to ask how everything was. He decided to take me back with some friends, soon as we arrived the hostess wanted to squeeze us in the corner where there was people crowded and bunched up already (the place wasn't even packed) I really didn't feel like getting pump while we ate. She kindly moved us. While chit chatting there was a vibe of 90's music playing and if u know me I love me some 90's music, so that was a plus, we orderd drinks which took a while, (but worth the wait) I gotta say they have a drink called "One night stand" wooosh!
