I was so so pleased with my entire experience! Danielle and John, I think where their names, were so attentive and kind and helped me find insoles for my plantar fasciitis--down to putting on the shoes for me and explaining everything very clearly and straightforwardly. They even took the time to help me try on several pairs of insoles with my exact shoe size, brand, and type so I could understand exactly how it'd feel. I did have a hard time adjusting to the insoles but after having come back to discuss maybe trying a different size, they reassured me that it just took some getting used to and that if I was still unhappy within my first 30 days, to return them despite having used/opened them. I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me on it because they were straightforward with the pricing (i.e. "This one is a little more expensive as a head's up"). Thrilled with my new find at Footwear etc. This time it was a closed toe black shoe for ushering at the symphony. Fitflop now has closed toe shoes that are soooo comfortable. Deeann went the extra mile for me yet again! I wanted a second pair of the shoes I bought last week, except now in a different color. She looked up in the database what colors were still in stock this busy Memorial Day weekend. Then, when I chose which of those colors I wanted to go with, she made sure it was truly physically in the store. I have never had an experience quite like the one I had at Footwear, etc. when I brought my daughter there to buy her shoes for basketball. We walked in the door, explained what we were looking for, and the associate was literally the most knowledgeable sales associate I have ever seen in a shoe store. He knew exactly what they did, and didn't, have in shoes that would work for basketball. He didn't care about us spending money; he cared that she got the best shoe for her needs. He knew what products would be best, and we were so surprised at the way he articulated this to us, finding us the best shoe in the right size with a professional, easy-going attitude and kind nature. I will definitely be going back and have found our one-stop shop for shoes from here on out! My daughter LOVES her new shoes! So I came back when I got my rebate reward and the 15% off sandal sale notice Sweet. This time, I got helped by Vanessa, who was also very attentive and as helpful as Jina, who was helping another customer. I was glad to see the store was pretty busy. I exchanged the pair that was a wee too tight in the shoe box- drat my wide flintstone feet. I brought my receipt which showed the pair was purchased about 40 days prior. Happy to report there was no issue on the exchange. I had my eye on another pair of Aetrex Essence Kaylas in black. Been wearing them pretty much non-stop since and I've gotten a lot of compliments on them! About a week later, I came back with my Birthday reward - double whoo hoo! - to try on the Aetrex Essence Kate (dressier black sandals to replace my dressy black heels that I gave away) and drum role... I saw last season/discontinued colors Orthoheel flip flops on sale for $39.99 (regular price is $59.99) and with my 15% sandal coupon, well, of course, I had to get a back up pair; these are my favorite house slippers now. Integrated arch support = happy tootsies! And -ahem - I've accidentally worn them out which is a no-no in my book. I am stickler for dedicated indoor shoes at home. The most unassuming place. They had a sign for specialized running shoes that is in limited shoes stores so I checked this place out. Wedged between a car rental, and an auto body shop, you would never think a tiny shoe store would be your gem. In 3 minutes the lady there figured out my feet. She did it faster and better than a specialty running store, who put me on a treadmill. That store was wrong. The people there know feet. Give them business. They earned it. read more

They have the sandles i love. Fitflops which department stores used to sell and i havent seen anywhere else. Most of the sandles range from $50+ depending on the brand. They also sell uggs here! Dad needed some insoles for his shoes recommended by the Dr. They also sell a plethera of socks for hiking, everyday use or specific sports. I bought some socks for hiking which were thin but have some extra cushion as well. read more

I was looking for a particular pair of Dansko boots and found this store had locations in SD (Hillcrest was the closest one). The boots weren't at that location and I was hoping to try them in person, but I was referred to the RB location to check availability. I was referred to Footwear Etc by my podiatrist, Dr. Joan Meyer (see my 5-star review of her) and I am so delighted to finally have supportive, stylist shoes, and did I mention that I got my FIRST PAIR OF BOOTS!! I am flat-footed, have bunions, bouts of platar faciitis, and severe ankle pain, so fitting me should have been a challenge. It's not like I haven't tried just about everything out there in stores (even the name brand heat sensor, insert-fitting scanner and online and I wasn't successful so had a bit of doubt that I would have success here. Selena M. fit me perfectly, explained the pros and cons of each shoe and listened to me as to the styles I like. Oh, and Selena also suggested those boots (yippee!!) My go to place for insoles. As an avid runner, I tend to get a minor foot injury (mainly due to worn out insoles and shoes). I could go to places like Road Runner Sports and spend a couple of benjamins, but my injuries haven't been bad where I need to do that. Footwear Etc. is the only place that carries the insoles I use. So, if I don't have time to order from an online store, I cruise on here and my feet are happy again! The store carries a variety of orthotic shoes for both men and women. They are pretty pricey because they are high quality shoes - so it helps to keep an eye out for their sales. I believe they have a rewards program as well as a mailing list. The shoe folks are very helpful and patient... and there are a couple who truly know about orthotics. read more

Great Service! The price is almost comparable to online stores. Of course, at a physical store, you can try all the designs and sizes to see which pair fits you. For example, I was really interested in MBT shoes called "Wanda." But when I tried my size, I found out that my feet won't even get in there. Also, I usually wear 6 or 6 1/2 (women) but for MBT, I fit comfortably in size 7!! Susan helped me with the selection. She gave me some advice on how to ease into MBT. She is a 10+ pair veteran of MBT. One more great thing about this place: the return policy. "Shoes in new, unworn condition may be returned ANYTIME. Shoes in worn condition within 30 days, you may return your shoes for any reason, if you are not satisfied with your purchase. After 30 days, WORN shoes may be returned for exchange or store credit only." That's confidence speaking.. I put $$$ for the price range, but that's because I've never owned a $150 pair of shoes, but it is listed as $260. read more
