My wife is bringing back the glasses you repaired yesterday. When I went to clean them the lens dropped out. I put on my old glasses and examined them. The frame is broke just above the hinge you fixed yesterday. I am handicapped and will come in next week. Fix them or replace them. I am insured. If you need a copay, I will be buy to pay on Tuesday. I've been going to For Eyes for a few years now because they are one of the only places I can go with my insurance. The people who work there need to seriously go for some customer service training. I went in for a contact lens exam with an appointment and they had never made an appointment for me as well the lady behind the desk had the nerve to say she was so busy and offered us to look behind the desk as to all of her unfinished work. You do not say that to a paying customer. They are rude there and messed up my dad's prescription. I wish I could go back to Lenscrafters they at least know what they are doing there. read more

Not only was I not notified that my glasses were ready to be picked up; but was lied to by an employee that a message was left - I check several times a day for messages- there wasn't one from this store, then the employee hung up on me for calling her out. My daughter (17) recently got 2 pair of reading glasses. We had 2 issues... 1. she felt she needed glasses to see far also and 2. one pair hurt her nose and ears. We went back after about 36 days and the doctor gave her a new prescription for driving AND replaced one pair of her frames WITH the new prescription! NO CHARGE! In these days when it seems customer service is a thing of the past and everyone is trying to get into your wallet... For Eyes AH has GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I moved to AH last year and needed an eye exam and new glasses. The Dr. was great and when I talked to her about some problems I was having she was able to figure out what was going on. I ended up getting glasses and sunglasses. I am very happy with my glasses but there was something wrong with the sunglasses. After about a month of trying to wear them and knowing something was off I went back in. Mesha checked them out and immediately knew that the former salesperson that sold them to me had helped me select a pair that was way too big and therefore the prescription wasn't centering over my eye causing everything to be blurry. She had me pick out a new, smaller pair of frames and is having them remade for me at no extra charge. I can't wait to get them and hope Mesha was right! Very pleasant experience both with the eye exam and purchasing new frames. Dr. B was awesome- very prompt, friendly, and clearly new her stuff. They broke my glasses while adjusting them and tried blaming me. They fixed them for free but were not very friendly about it. I wouldn't trust them with my glasses in the future but it's a good place to go for a quick in and out eye appointment if you just need a the prescription and want to get your actual glasses and contacts elsewhere. read more

EVERY TIME I go to For Eyes I get angry. Their advertising is so misleading and deceptive. Even when my kids were young and needed nothing special on their glasses the price was never as claimed on their ads. This time I purchased a Groupon for $250 Off with a Tough Lites Package. Who knew that package would be over $300, plus the frames and lens. I would have spent less without the groupon because I would not have purchased the package that I didn't want in the first place. The person that waited on me said I could get a refund for the Groupon...wrong. Groupons are not refundable. For Eyes deals are Bulls**t always. I will never go back. read more

What a scam! They won't "let" you buy a new pair of glasses without an annual eye exam!!! Why does the doctor get to determine when I get an exam and whether or not I can buy new glasses? My prescription was 15 months old and they wouldn't let me get glasses without a prescription. Just lost my business -- and we've been going there for 25 years. I had a good experience with the doctor and during the eye exam however I was extremely dissatisfied with the sales staff. First, the person who was helping me out was extremely rude and not helpful. Additionally, I only wanted to purchase the lenses since I had my own frames however she(the salesperson) tried to push me to purchase the most expensive lenses for approximately $400 for lenses. This place advertises 2 pairs of eye glasses and lenses for $99 but when you come in the sales people try to force you to pay $400 for a single set of lenses. What a scam!!! i bought 2 pairs of glasses for my son i a few months ago he ripped off the nose pad of one pair as soon as we got home... he's four... and he recently ripped of the soft rubber covering the other pair... I went and a nice looking lady greets me with a sincere looking smile and asks me what brought me in and i show her and before anything else she takes the glasses off my hands and fixes them right away... she asks me my name and phone number as i'm on the way out and they didn't charge me a single red cent... Awesome customer service... awesome enough for me to write a review about.... i'll continue too come here from now on... my kids glasses were like $50 for two pair i think.... read more

Horrible experience. My husband had a great experience there so I thought I would, but that was wrong. I had my prescription to make glasses. This lady who took care of my husband was there and took care of my. After she saw my prescription, she said "What kind of eye balls do you have to get this prescription. You'd better stop playing with your phone." Um. First of all. You have your glasses on so you have a bad eye ball too. Second, that is not a comment to make to a customer for a pleasant experience. Third of all, I am a musician that stares at the music all the time. Not fu**in phone. Anyways, that lady was that. Flicked her off through the window as I was standing outside. When I came to pick up the glasses, this guy who was so sweet, I didnt know about 90 days after prescription so he wrote (in front of me) a note to future sales to move the prescription exchange the day of I picked up the glasses. The prescription was horrible that he suggested to wear them one day and come back if it was still not good. I came back two days after to get the refund. Then the store manager called me saying they cannot fu**in refund the glasses cause its been over 30 days. UHHHHMMM. I WAS TOLD 90 DAYS AFTER PRESCRIPTION WAS FILLED, BUT THIS GUY ADJUSTED FOR ME. And she was continuously saying 30 days. Then I called my husband to be the witness that he also heard 90 days. The manager gave same bull***t answer that it is 30 days. Then she said she will offer another pair of glasses for half price. F**k you. Don't want to pay jack s**t for your sh**y glasses. Ended up losing over $300 for a pair of junky glasses. read more

I have visited For Eyes in Bloomingdale for years and always enjoyed prompt, great service, help with selecting new frames, all of it very professional and enjoyable. After moving to AH, I tried the local For Eyes. And I won't be back. Even though I had made an appointment in advance, they had not taken the initiative to contact the other location for my records. I offered to send from my phone and was provided an e-mail address. Sent. Waiting. Waiting. Oh, wait, the guy with his mouth full of food also behind the counter now tells me that they don't allow unknown e-mail, which I guess is from me. Yes, he was eating and talking to me around his chewing. So this was all great. After my exam with Dr. Patel (who I really, really liked), I walked back out to select new glasses. Not one of those over-achievers offered to help; in fact, I am not even sure that they knew I was there. I spend A LOT of $$ on glasses and they just lost any business that they would have had from me. Too bad, I was expecting the same high standards as the Bloomingdale location. Sign on window says walkins welcome but that's not true. I tried 3 times to walk in and was turned away. The receptionist for Doctor was rude had an attitude /unprofessional. Also because I didn't have my insurance card she gave me the phone number to my insurance to call and verify coverage instead of calling herself...and although doctor office was open til 8 I was turned away yet again at 6. For Eyes optical is a tremendous place to do business with. I found everyone working there to be courteous and their was no pressure to buy frames. I was treated fairly and honestly. Dr.Borawski, herself, is an unusual optometrist. She took her time with me and explained everything she was doing. When I left I trusted everything she told me. First off let me say that I have gotten my yearly eye exam and glasses here for the past three years. NEVER AGAIN will I enter their door. I had to call for three months to schedule an eye exam and the doctor was never there when I needed an appointment, (even at 2 pm on a wednesday) for three months.. THREE MONTHS.. When I arrived, there were hardly any frames available to pick from and when I asked about the 2 pairs for 99$ which I have paid for the past three years including the eye exam. I was told by this snippy sales girl, I wont call her a lady, that the eye exam was extra cost. When I questioned why I had not paid extra cost before, she argued and was so rude to me. Then she had the NERVE to say to me, "Go to America's Best".. so, guess where I am driving to right now.. America's best. RUDE and hot helpful. Too bad, as the doctor is nice.. too bad she runs a rude unhelpful and poor customer service ship with rude unhelpful and poor staff. NEVER AGAIN. read more
