One of the best eateries in the area. The staff is always amazing! Hands down my absolute favorite place for a burger. I honestly can't think of a single item on the menu that I have had and not thoroughly enjoyed. Every server there is extremely courteous and thoughtful. My husband can come up with some odd requests sometimes. Never one time have not done their best to accommodate us. They always make every visit feel like lunch with friends or dinner with family. The kitchen staff is very talented and creative. Every bite is always consistently yummy and perfect. We stopped in here for some lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had our dog with us and the team was super accommodating in finding us a picnic table in the back. Our server, Caroline, was so friendly and hospitable. The burger was amazing- a highly recommend it along with the fries and the sweet potato tots (we liked salty). Waited only 15 minutes at the bar for a table on a Friday night. Decent start. Service wasn't bad but not great either. Daryl from California is past his prime and others were picking up his slack. Food was OK but overpriced for the quality. Scallops and street corn was amazeballs though. Seafood pasta was pretty decent but a medium burger coming out well done should've been sent back. Along with the chicken fillet sandwich that must have been twice fried. Cobbler required a crumbled top. What was provided? Loved our trip to Dillsboro, happy we decided to lunch at Foragers. We love farm to table. My boyfriend had the Chili Mac Burger - locally sourced beef, bacon, chili and a fried Mac & cheese medallion. Delicious! They had many burger options, all as creative. I tried the Southwest Burger which is a black bean burger. Best black bean burger I've ever had! Flavors were excellent and a wonderful crispness to it. I tried the Dixie slaw as my side. It's not your average slaw. Mayo based but light, seasoned well with green apples. A winner - and I'm particular with coleslaw! Great location too, nestled between railroad tracks and the river, nice outside seating area. If you dine here, make sure you visit the nearby shops. Great variety, friendly people. We were looking for a place to eat lunch outside with our dogs and to be as covid conscience as possible. This restaurant had been recommended to us by the goofiest people we know, and man...it did not disappoint. The river provided the perfect backdrop to the delicious food and refreshing beers. The food was outstanding, with small blasts of flavor (like the home pickled beets on the goat cheese salad and the blueberry compote on the fish taco) were such a welcome surprise. We enjoyed dinner plates of filet with the Brussels & Gouda grits. Also had a kitchen sink burger with sweet potato tots. Huge burger with double meat, all toppings including fried egg. Fantastic food! Ordered takeout: smokehouse burger, pineapple slaw, Dixie slaw, granny's greek kettle chips, and spectacular sprouts. The Smokehouse burger is a 5/5. Great flavor, beef is flavorful, the bacon is peppered!! Would order again. Pineapple slaw is a 1/5. I wasn't sure what to expect but it tasted like coleslaw mix with maybe a bit of pepper on it and a few pieces of pineapple. Skip it. Dixie slaw is a 3/5, good flavor but just your standard coleslaw. Good standard. Granny greek kettle chips are a 4/5. They don't travel well (we got takeout) and were a bit soggy. But the balsamic sauce and tzatziki sauce are delicious delicious with the chips. Definitely a flavor combination to try! Spectacular sprouts are a 4/5. A bit on the sweeter side but absolutley delightful. Something I want to try to recreate at home. All in all great experience with takeout. There is a brewery right next door if you want to grab a brew. The packaging for takeout was awesome and they even gave us utensils! I have been eating at foragers for 3 years. We always bring our family and friends here when in town. The food was good shrimp and grits,steak tips alfredo and chicken. Maple Brussel sprouts. Gnocchi with chicken tasty. The only reason I have to give a 3 is we had the worst service from Chandler. When she took our drink order never said can I get you an appetizer. Turned and left had to call her back to order cluckers. She didn't refill drinks when asked had an attitude like a teenager. Then filled some drinks left had to ask for unsweetened tea which had already been waiting awhile for two of us. Her response was give me a minute. The waitress next to us was so good polite. Other waitress told people I'll get your dog some water when I come back. Our waitress never asked if she could get water for our dog. I have to say in 3 years service has always been great. This is the only time I have had to write a negative review for foragers I still said please and Thank you but this was poor service. I will still eat at foragers but would not have Chandler as a waitress. read more

The energy here is like no other as it is situated directly on the water where you can choose to dine in or dine outside while sitting next to the sounds of the rushing water. Attention!! Before you think this is about the food it isn't! The food was delicious! If I was reviewing solely off the food it would be a 5 star review.. but our service wasn't great. We waited 20 or 30 mins just to get our drinks. Once we received our appetizer 30 mins later she had only been over 1 time, we then received our dinner an hour after the appetizer. Which our server never came over to check on us at all. She came over and brought my wife a box and the check and that was it.. we don't mind waiting for good food, but we would also like our drinks refilled or at least ask us if we are doing okay while we were waiting. I was there Saturday last week. It wasn't to busy when we arrived. Easy seating. Such a variety on the menu. It's a bit pricy for my taste buds. I couldn't adventure or try different things easily. Kids chicken fingers and watermelon (side of fruit) tender and juicy. I wasn't impressed with ckn & watermelon at that price. Make it a smaller plate, add a piece of toast, something. The value for the money isn't there. My salmon patty burger was good. The bun not so much. It was tough. I ended up eating with fork n knife and then wish I'd had ordered it on lettuce instead. I loved it! The topping/sauce was just right. I'll pick a different side next time too. Meal was to pricey to not be filling. Spending over $30for an adult and 6 yr old, no dessert is to to much. I wasn't willing to wait on dessert like we did the meal. The bathroom was so unique, clean, adorable. The lock on the doorknob not so much.
