The entire process was made incredibly smooth and even pleasant by Mark and other staff (Jonathan and the finance gentleman). When I went to pick up the truck both were missing along with coins that I had in my glove compartment. I hadn't realized at first but after getting home I was notified my credit card had $1000 worth of charges around the area. I reached out to the ford manager and all he said was sorry and I shouldn't have left anything in the truck. I would think they would hold their employees more accountable and care for their customers especially when I spent $4300 at their location. A half hour AFTER my scheduled appointment time, car was still parked where I left it with 3 cars in front of me in the line. I asked for my keys back and will never return. Why do they offer scheduled appointments if they do not intend to honor the commitment. They go look over the car, test drive it and run the numbers. They want to offer me $6500 for a car less than 4 yrs old with less than 60,000 miles on it. Local shop fixed it for about $500 and was a completely different system than what they had said. Either inept serviceman/"mechanic"/ parts changer or out and out lies from the service writer. Recently brought in my Ford for a recall which required a new engine. After some hesitation I was given a "loaner" that was billed like a rental with a $500 security deposit even though the big sticker in the back said "Courtesy vehicle". Courtesy was an unknown word to some staff at this establishment, especially Christine in the service department who was very rude. I then tried to buy a new vehicle from them but they were unable to make happen what another dealership could. I had no issue driving 2 hours to another dealer for the same car who gave me a great interest rate, the payment I was looking for, and more importantly, great customer service. I received an upsetting text that they were going to "close my file" when I didn't agree to their suggestion of buying a much more expensive car than I wanted, just to get another text from yet another sales person telling me they wanted to try something else which I happily declined as I just purchased a new vehicle at a dealership 2 hours away with all the perimeters I needed. First off, look at my reviews. I'm not a whiner or complainer. I spoke with Jacob regarding a RAM 1500 Laramie and he was initially helpful by taking several pictures of the vehicle for me as I was coming from out of town. During our phone conversation, I inquired about any dealer add-ons that I should be aware of, to which he replied that "the price you see is the price you pay." Jacob mentioned that there were two add-ons, namely, paint protection and a tracking device, but they were already reflected in the advertised price. After we hung up, he promised to send me an out-the-door price. However, when Jacob texted me the sheet, I was surprised to see an additional cost of $2,291 for the added equipment. When I questioned him about it, he told me that the cost was non-negotiable and that none of the add-ons were removable. I reminded him that he had previously told me that the two add-ons were included in the price, and he claimed that the truck was fresh out of the shop, and the information hadn't been updated yet. The website has no mention of dealer add-ons, but does mention other fees associated with tax, tag, and emissions. Feeling deceived, I reached out to the general manager and the used car manager via email, and I am currently waiting for their response. read more

The wife purchased her Ford Explorer from here a year ago, we received a recall mailer about the Back-up Camera being faulty. The wife called to have the part(s) replaced and get the oil changed at the same time. The service man/woman said they would order the part(s) and call her when they come. 2weeks go by, no call. Not happy with the service we have received from Fairfield Ford I called Ron DuPratt Ford. The service guy I spoke with immediately asked for the VIN and looked to see if they had the part(s) and mentioned they could possibly have this done via a mobile service. They did have the part(s) and asked when I was able to bring it in to replace the recalled camera. He did mention the system was down Nation Wide and was unable to schedule an appointment, but could provide the service if/when we brought it in. We will be bringing the vehicle in Monday to have this done. Unfortunately for Fairfield Ford, they lost our support due to the lack of support from them. It wouldn't have taken much to do what Ron DuPratt did. As a Blue Collar worker, effort speaks volumes to an individual and the work ethic one gives. This is one thing you can control. Our family has several vehicles old and new. I can perform a lot maintenance my self but frequently have to seek professionals for service items above my skill set or tool availability. I've recently had to visit three different dealerships for various service requests; this dealership included. I made appointments believing it was the most efficient way to get things done in a timely manner. I brought my vehicle to them for a diagnosis of a particular problem. They gave me a ride home and promised the car by the end of the day. That night I had to contact them to find out they had not even looked at it yet. The next afternoon I contacted them to find out they had just started but were so far unable to determine the cause of the problem. They did not contact me by the end of the day to tell me they were keeping it a third day. I contacted them the next morning to learn they wanted to swap a part for $1600+ but had no idea if that would solve or even identify the problem. I told them to put it together and I would come pick it up. I arrived a few hours later and still had to wait a few hours in the lobby before they gave me back the vehicle. It felt like it was an intentional punishment for the customer who was expressing their frustration with what appeared to be an inept ability to solve a problem with courtesy. They charged me $470 and kept the vehicle three days yet I drove away not knowing anything more than when I brought it in. The next day I noticed they did not put the car back together correctly. I contacted them and made yet another appointment to have them put the carpet and panels back in their correct positions. I arrived for the appointment and was asked if I needed a ride home. I told them I made the appointment so timing would be shorter and more efficient. They said they had no idea how long it would take. I again waited in the purgatory of a lobby. I put on a fake happy face and tried not to express the huge frustration this place was causing. I walked to the parts department to get three part numbers for some repairs I planned on making. The guy behind the parts counter told me "we don't give out part numbers." In all my decades of owning dozens of vehicles and visiting dozens of dealerships and service establishments, Ford of Fairfield is by far the absolute worst of them all. Their prices are much higher than other dealerships nearby, their customer service is short and discourteous. They are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and their rating is a D-. I emailed Mike W. the general manager while I was in the lobby. We will see if he ever gets back to me. I wonder if he has any idea what's happening at the customer level and if he even cares to make a change for the positive. It might effect his ability to get a coveted Presidents Award and go on that cushy trip. read more

I just had the brake calipers on my Mach E professionally painted 2 days prior to the service. And after tire rotation was done, I checked my car and saw large scrapes on the 2 front big brakes. He told me it might be caused by rocks BUT I checked those calipers before checking in and they're pristine. A shortened Summarized version of my original post which I deleted along with an update to follow. Bought a 2017 Nissan Versa with a big hole in the carpet under the pedals. Was told by the salesman before agreeing to purchase, that the carpet was going to be replaced. The salesman left Ford 3 days after I bought the car and had not received any update on when the carpet would be fixed. Tried contacting sales through the online contact email system on their website and didn't receive any response. Contacted the service department multiple times and they didn't know anything about the carpet. Then eventually they ordered me a heal pad which I declined and said it wouldn't work. At this point, I was really frustrated and just decided to leave a review here. Updated Reached out to Mike and he put me in touch with the Customer Relations Manager Sonny, After multiple communications between myself and sonny, he put me in contact with Scott the General Sales Manager. Scott told me he remembered the car and said the carpet should have been fixed and didn't know what went wrong because it was in the system. Scott made all the arrangements to get the car picked up from my house and provided a loaner car while the carpet was being repaired. Also in addition to fixing the carpet, he ordered new floor mats, detailed the car, and filled up the gas tank. Besides the issue of getting my carpet fixed, I really liked my experience at Fairfield Ford and would have no problem returning to make another purchase All in all, I chalked this up do the times we're living in with covid and the restrictions and stress everyone is under. read more
