Positive side, Burger was med rare just like we asked for. Very great tasting burger. Now for the bad stuff. Don't tell guests that the fries are fresh cut when the aren't. They may cut them fresh but then they freeze them. They don't cut them just before they cook them. There is a difference. Really $.75 for a dam slice of onion? At $8.50 for a burger stuff like that should be complimentary. Well I received a complimentary entree card I. The mail from whomever reviews the Yelp reviews and things didn't exactly go super well again. Waited to be seated the customary 5 or 10 minuets that they love to let you hang out. Was seated outside as we asked for since we had a small dog with us. At least 6 empty tables near us while we waited for our waitress or waiter. Another table was then seated next to us and was given (we didn't receive) a list of the beers that are available. Well while they were looking and choosing their beverages our waitress dutifully asked what we would like to drink. Not knowing the list (which by the way totals about 100 or so different beers) I said what kind off beers do you have a and where is our list and she said well I don't know why you didn't get one and left only to stop at the 2nd table that arrived after us and since they had had a chance to look the beer list over they placed their order. In the meantime I went to the bar and retrieved a beer list and a second table was seated and soon were ordering their drinks( yes they were given a beer list). Meanwhile we are still waiting. Finally received drinks and food which turned to be fine. Love your burgers. I personally didn't pick up the check to see if a simple slice of onion is still $.75 but it is it's a damm ripoff read more

Terrible first experience! Had a long, blonde hair in our appetizer, and then our burgers came burnt to a black crisp. Completely inedible! Then, the manager basically blew it off, saying we all make mistakes. The theme and decor is so cute, and I was looking forward to enjoying my lunch. It was terrible though. Such a shame. read more

This place is a Trojan Horse - beautiful on the outside but has a hollow center! I don't think anyone can say anything negative about the decor because it looks like what you would expect : Model T's, Tire basins sinks in the bathroom, gas pump door handles, and the 1920 and 1930 Era photos. It's beautiful and clean. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place out since I'm a car buff, but were a little leary because of the mixed reviews on Yelp. We should have listened to the warnings! We took advantage of the happy hour special - dollar off draft beers,but they were not cold. We ordered buffalo chicken wings and they were a jumbo size as advertised but they use a homemade buffalo sauce that had a strange flavor - kind of tasted like a creole- type seasoning. We have been ordering and eating buffalo wings all our lives, and they did not taste at all like what we have always been used to. Finally, we tried one of the house burgers since it seemed like a safe bet and ordered it medium-rare. The burger was medium on the outside but undercooked in the center, like it was unevenly cooked. The fries were cold, the bun too thin for the 9 ounce burger, so the bread got soggy and messy. The waitress was very accommodating and replaced the fries and took the wings off the bill (although we DID have to remind her). If their specialty is burgers, then they should do burgers expertly. I loved the atmosphere. The food was good but a bit overpriced. Fried pickles were really good and my burger was a little above average. Service was reaaally slow, though. We have been coming to Fords Garage since it opened it Brandon. The food has always been consistently good. Last visit we experienced a hiccup with the food, but were willing to give it another try b/c the food and staff is usually amazing. We were not disappointed this visit. Great food again! I think a lot of people go here for the fun theme but don't let it draw you in. The burgers are just average and they are overpriced. I thought at least the theme would be really cool but it's a let down as well. The cars outside are pretty neat but that doesn't really carry into inside. I tried this establishment with my husband on a weekday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, because it was after lunchtime. The hostess seated us at a table near where all the servers and hostesses mingled. We asked for another table, because we didn't want to be near them as they were standing and continuously walking by. The hostess seemed to be perturbed on having to reseat us which annoyed me. I ordered the pull pork sandwich and my husband ordered a burger. Both dishes were extremely mediocre if not poorly made. My pulled pork tasted decent, but the bun was completely soaked from the coleslaw's juice. It was actually quite unacceptable, but I was hungry so I didn't say anything. My husband ordered a burger that was to be prepared "medium". He insisted to the server that he wanted it pink on the inside. The burger arrived well done with no pink at all. My husband was not happy about this. Personally, I will not return to this restaurant and I can't reccomend it due to the fact that both meals were not prepared well. read more

Oh my God! I can live here. The menu is perfect. The food is heavenly. They even have a happy hour. Lobster mad and cheese with 1/4 lb of lobster...are you kidding me? Perfect! Go ask for Jordan at the bar! From the point we walked in to the time we left, this place was running a fine establishment. We showed up around 9:00 and there was a 2 hour wait (understandable for a new, highly anticipated franchise in this area). Decided to sit at the bar to grab some drinks while we waited and that's when we met Jordan...Provided us with a thorough understanding of the menu and kept our drinks filled all night without being one of those overzealous bartenders. Took my son for his birthday lunch. My son said his burger was good, my sliders were dry, Bloody Mary was too too spicy. When we got another waitress she offered to make another BM but less spicy. When they brought another BM, it was about the same. We had a hard time getting our waitress, she never checked in with us, never gave my son refill on his tea. Never offered another choice for drink or take it off the bill. Had to tell her he was leaving before she brought complimentary birthday brownie which he enjoyed. Horrible food and horrible service. I ordered my burger medium well and received a dried up, black brick with mushrooms on top of it. When the server asked how my meal was I explained it was over cooked and I had lost my appetite. She returned and told me "you're in luck! I convinced my manager to take it off your bill." ....excuse me? I'm in luck? My food was incorrect and in-edible. I should never have had to worry about paying for it. My husband ordered a whiskey sour and it took over 30 min to receive our drink (there were 4 patrons at the bar and we were the only table in the building). So disappointed. TERRIBLE! The place is loud, managers aren't friendly and the overall service sucks. I will never go again. By the time we finally got our food, our 18 month old was ready to go because of course his food did not come out first. We had to ask for our witness to bring us to go containers. I love trying new restaurants but this one was just okay. Especially with all the burger competition in the immediate area, I do not put Ford's at the top of my list. There is a nice burger selection with lots of options to customize which is really cool. I enjoyed reading the custom Tampa celebrity burgers which is a nice touch. My burger, and the other burgers in my party, we're all huge but a little burnt it seemed on the outside and not very flavorful. I would like to give them another chance, but my first impression was not so hot. I do think the theme is very cute. read more

So I visited Ford's Garage in Brandon with my family and my friend and his wife. I have to start by saying that the place is beautiful. It's definitely a "themed" restaurant. You can find classic cars and gas pumps on the outside and the venue itself resembles a mechanic car shop (even the restrooms are oddly entertaining). I arrived at around 2pm. The placed seemed crowded, but not overwhelming. Our greeter indicated that it was a 20 minute wait. We got called maybe in 10. Our server (her name if I recall correctly was Lindsay) was a sweetheart. She completely knew the menu and answered every question we had about it. It has a vast amount of different types of burgers at very good prices. Overall I was very satisfied with the food. One of the burgers was not cooked as ordered, but the server quickly took care of it. The manager came to apologize and even gave us a discount (something honestly that was not necessary). After this he was very attentive of us. Me and my wife were satisfied, my friend and his wife were too, and my children really enjoyed the venue and food. I want to return to this restaurant. That 10lb. burger challange seems tempting, I just need to find a good team to conquer it. read more
