Location in new Plantation shops, starting to thrive area. Fords garage location large and awesome Vintage Ford decor throughout. Service was good & the staff was attentive. They have an odd 20% automatic service charge, that is told to you by the hostess & written on a handout on your table. I don't care for it, as many others have mentioned. We ordered the pretzel sticks very good. Smithwicks beer, but was only in the can, not on one of their many draft beers. Got the burnt end brisket sandwich, very light in the amount of meat on the sandwich, left the location still hungry. I hope that they make more adjustments overall, so I can try them again. read more

Ford's Garage has a classic car style restaurant vibe. It's unique with old Ford style cars displayed anywhere from the ceiling to outside. The windows are basically a garage door. I love the comfort style food choices that are offered. Had all types of burgers and sandwiches to choose from. The bar was really set up nice with an old Ford car above with a car horn that honked. This place also offers a lot of craft beers. I will definitely try to go for happy hour one day. It looks like they have a great happy hour. The service was perfect. Everyone should see Ford's Garage restaurant in plantation. It is owned and run by Ford. I wish that there were more of these restaurants around to go to. I really love the decor. Wowza. It does not get more average than this. Burgers with bacon and all the typical "American" cuisine. My main issue is the pricing for such average food. It's crazy expensive for the exact same thing you can get from every other place. So why is it more? Because it has some Ford logo everywhere? I don't even understand why this place even exists to be really honest with you. It's like if Jeep had a Safari food themed restaurant. I was meeting up with an old friend and we couldn't figure out a spot to meet up at. I suggested Plantation Walk. I've been to many of the places in this location, but haven't been to Ford's Garage. I've been meaning to check it out, and glad that my friend and I decided to give it a try! They had a great happy hour and lunch deal. You can get a sandwich with fries and a beer for a decent price daily! The ambiance and vibes were very nice. The place still looks fairly new and the staff were friendly. The only thing that would've been nice is if they could've given us both a heads up that there is a random service fee for the location that we were in. Despite that, we still enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. I'll be coming here again in the future definitely! read more

This was my second attempt at Ford's Garage. I had hopes that it would be an amazing experience. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The bartender raved about it, and she made me an amazing cocktail, so I ordered it. It looked absolutely amazing until I took the first bite. Shame on me for not saying it at that very moment, but it had no flavor whatsoever. And you could taste the old oil. I added some salt and barbecue sauce so I could eat it. I had to stop because it was absolutely terrible. Maybe this is an isolated experience, but twice now, the food has been terrible. The bartender, she was absolutely amazing. I checked our Ford's Garage during my trip to Plantation. The restaurant has a nice, laid back ambiance and it has an indoor and outdoor dining area. I had the Smoked Brisket Burnt Ends Melt and the portions were nice and the sandwich was delicious. My colleague had the Bbq Burger and he said it was good. So much wrong here, it's kind of hard to figure out where to start. The food was a massive miss. I got a the mushroom and swiss burger and subbed a turkey patty. The turkey burger tasted like straight bird. I don't know how else to describe it except simultaneously bland and off-puttingly strong. If you know you know I guess. The mushrooms were also not seasoned, and the pretzel bun was rock solid and stale in texture. I picked apart half of it and left the rest on the plate - literally could not justify bringing it home. The only positive was the beer cheese mac and cheese side. (Also, they apparently fry tree nut allergen foods in the same fryer as everything else, fyi for allergen-havers.) The service was another massive miss. They say the 20% service charge goes to the back of the house, and that their structure for waitstaff is to "increase efficiency". I certainly didn't see any of that increased efficiency, because the dude who was bringing out plates (not our waitress) took our food to the wrong table, and then proceeded to let another patron paw all over them before bringing them to our table and trying to give them to us. Umm.... Eww? No? So we had to wait for them to remake the food, which was disappointing in the end anyways. Our entire meal came out to over $50 for two tiny portion, barely edible burgers. To top it all off, the place was Antarctica level frigid (I was shivering in a sweatshirt and jeans). Lord help you if you're there during a birthday too, because they do some atrocitious honking thing over the loud speaker that's really disruptive and obnoxious. Sorry to the bartenders and staff for the 2 stars. You are the best thing going for the establishment and the reason I'm posting. I was a long time patron at their Tampa location. It was always packed and buzzing with folks having a good time. The location i am reviewing is fairly new and attached to a high-end apartment with a bunch of other restaurants and businesses. That changed everything. I guess they must pay wicked rent because there are fees for the common area maintenance and entertainment on bills as well as a fixed service fee aka a forced TIP. This is a themed sports bar, not an IG famous restaurant downtown Miami everyone wants to be seen at. The place is rarely busy and they are clubbing you over the head to get as much money they can out of you because they picked a bad location that doesn't deliver enough traffic to support the business. Everything is priced higher than other locations. Many items are exactly $1 more than the Tampa items. Everywhere you look this place is in your pockets. The reason for my unusual rant is the staff are the real ones paying the price. Customers have a bad taste in their mouths and it's not because the food is bad. Even the best server or bartender is at a disadvantage from the point Customers realize what the deal is. Had an amazing bartender (shout out Taylor). Knew her stuff, personable, attentive, and professional as well. She represented the brand well. That day, all we could tolerate was one beer. Even that came with confusion over what size vessel it came in. At a place with 20+ taps, you should be able to get a pint of any beer lower that 9 or 10% ABV. Not here. The will only give you a snifter randomly based on who knows what. Putting a run of the mill IPA in a snifter doesn't make it fancier. It does make it more expensive though. This is a car themed sports bar, a bloke should be able to get a proper pint after a long day of work. Walking over the dollars to pick up the pennies is what I call it. The only photo I'll post is in honor of my forced snifter of beer. Thanks to Taylor and the rest of the staff for keeping this place afloat. The other locations I visit, keep up the good work. I can always count on Fords to have a well made, tasty burg. This was my second time at this location and it was just as good as the first time. I ordered us a couple vinos on happy hour and they were only $6 ea. (Mon-Fri 2p-6p). We started with the soft pretzel and the cheese curbs. The pretzel was soft and fresh and hot. It comes with beer cheese and honey mustard (my fav). I ordered the Fords Signature and my mom ordered the mushroom Swiss. Both were great as always. My only complaint was that it was very messy because of the sauce. Service was quick and attentive, we came around 3pm on a Friday. Ford's Garage is located within the newer Plantation Walk area! Came here with a few friends for a catchup dinner and we found parking actually pretty easy with Ford's Garage being in a central spot within the plaza. Usually, I have a hard time finding parking here but, this past Sunday night, it was a breeze. We were able to be seated with no reservations and our servers were super tentative. They did let us know that there was already going to be a service fee of 20% (basically tip) because our party was larger with seven people. Just something to note before dining here. A lot of us opted for just drinks and appetizers but I was hungry so I got a burger. I got the Estate burger which came with smoked gouda cheese, sweet red onion marmalade, arugula, tomato, crispy onions straws, and white truffle bacon aioli on a brioche bun. The burger was pretty good with a larger size patty than I'm used to but it could have been a bit more flavorful. My partner got the BBQ Brisket burger and he said it was pretty okay, as well. The pretzel bites appetizer was also pretty good with the beer cheese. The inside was super nice and very committed to the theme of Ford's Garage from the wall decor to the servers' outfits. Beautiful mechanic theme decor and a big old black Ford car positioned on steel lifts above the bar. Chloe the bartender made for me a delicious Top Shelf Patron Margarita with the right amount of salt on the rim at $13.50. Happy Hour recently ended so many seats opened up at the bar. My husband ordered a Voodoo Ranger beer which he enjoyed. I love the ice along the bar to place your drink after each sip to keep it chilled. The service was quick, from ordering to getting food, and the check, I'd say, was under an hour. The food came out quick but was hot, fresh, and delicious. I've had the burgers before, so I wanted to try something else. I got the pulled pork. It was good, but it was definitely too much for me. It was spilling out the sides, which shows that they definitely don't skimp on portion size. My dad got the shrimp with mac and cheese since he wasn't very hungry, and that portion was pretty large as well. They still have the 20% service charge to be aware of. They do explain this to you when you arrive as well as have a card on the table explaining. I do tend to feel bad not tipping the waitress, and if the service is good, I'd typically leave an extra few dollars. Overall, it's a good choice for a good meal. It is a chain, but it's one of the better ones. Prices are comparable to other spots in the plaza and the area. Go grab a burger and beer and enjoy! read more

When you come in, they have this beautiful decor, everywhere, an old ford cars, and an engine, which was pretty cool and they had merchandise for sale. They sat us immediately. The customer service was great. Our waitress was very attentive. We ordered a few appetizers, which was the truffle fries, which were very good and they were not overly oily like most truffle fries are and the Ahi tuna was the best that I've ever had. The sauce that came with the Ahi tuna fire. We ordered Mojitos, which was very tasty. I normally only order one drink, but I had to order two that's how good it was. Also I ordered a mushroom Swiss, but with a veggie patty. It was OK. I feel as though there should've been a sauce that came along with the with the burger, such as a barbecue sauce.
