He ended up arriving late at 9:30 AM after texting that he was running behind. We discussed a large project to replace/update the entire sprinkler system in both the front and backyard, totaling $3,375, and agreed to start the work on Tuesday at 8:30 AM. On the scheduled start day, he pushed the time to later because another customer had a leak that he wanted to check first. He never showed up. Later, he told me he had to spend the entire day fixing that leak and rescheduled me for Wednesday at 8:30 AM. On Wednesday, he rescheduled again, this time to Thursday at 8:30 AM, saying both of his workers were unavailable. Then on Thursday, he was another no-show. After waiting yet again, I texted him to cancel the project. This level of unreliability is completely unprofessional. I can't trust someone with a major project when they repeatedly fail to honor their commitments. Thankfully, we hadn't started the work yet. Otherwise, I would have been stuck wondering whether he would show up to finish the job or come back if there were any issues. I understand that emergencies happen, but repeatedly rescheduling and then failing to show up is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this business.

Along with purchases, comes the advice and recommendations from the knowledgeable staff who are always ready to provide good insight, guidance, and troubleshooting issues in my garden. Measuring cubic yards is not the easiest thing to do (at least for me), so I was a little concerned I might have ordered too much. The staff explained we could pickup the material in phases, and anything we did not need would be refunded to our credit card on file. As I bought 3 succulents and was heading out to leave, I saw something else I just had to have and a pot to go along with it. You generally could have confidence that if you were paying for pool service, that you would get everything you pay for on a weekly basis: skimming, chemical balancing, scrubbing, vacuuming, dumping the skimmer baskets. Furthermore, the company generally had the same staff doing the work so as a client you had some familiarity and confidence that you knew who was doing the work. Unfortunately, since the company came under new ownership many aspects of this experience have changed and gotten much worse. The staff who come by it seems has changed from week to week. They regularly do not do all of the services that you pay for. One week we observed the tech indiscriminately dumping chlorine and tossing a chlorine tablet into the pool without doing any measurements. This is on top of not skimming the surface, brushing the sides, or vacuuming the bottom -- all of which are services that (depending on your service plan) you are potentially paying for. Finally, it would seem there is no easy way to get on the phone with someone at this company. The phone number listed on the website now leads to a voicemail message directing clients and others to text or email. Are they such a big company that they can't field calls from customers about current issues? I don't know, but I would guess not. So in my opinion the service went from reliable and predictable to borderline negligent and seeming to do as little work as possible to justify the monthly fee. As I write this, I've already terminated my ongoing agreement with this company and have another technician hired. Strongly consider avoiding this company, at least in its current state.

Solescape has been servicing my pool for the last 3 years, then without notice they just stopped. My pool turned green and when I reached out to them about it the relayed "due to staffing shortage we can no longer supervise your pool". I understand staffing shortages but communication is key. I could have found a new company to clean my pool before it turned green.
