I've been to Forever Nails several times and have previously had pleasant, professional experiences. Unfortunately, I've now had two uncomfortable experiences with the same nail tech. Midway through my $65 pedicure, she told me that since I was paying $65, I should "relax," yet repeatedly asked me what nail polish color I wanted. There was also a language barrier. She kept mentioning $5, and when I tried to clarify what she meant, she eventually said, "No, free." The paraffin treatment seemed very brief, and during the massage she interlaced her fingers between my toes, which I found uncomfortable. While my nails were still drying and I was still in the chair, she asked me to pay rather than waiting until I was finished. During a previous visit, this same tech actually put my sandals on HER OWN feet without asking, which I found inappropriate and unhygienic. I've had good experiences here with other nail techs, but unfortunately, this particular tech has made me uncomfortable on more than one occasion. read more

The nail techs added services that we did not ask for. When asked about the additional charges for the services we requested, the tech said she asked my daughter (a child). This was very confusing because I was very clear on what what services we need before we started. The technician was excellent, but I dislike that as the salon gets busier with walk-ins, there's pressure on the staff to rush regular appointments to accommodate walk-ins. When I book, my service is confirmed, and I expect it to be respected. Walk-ins shouldn't override pre-scheduled clients. Since I pay for my service, I believe I should receive it without feeling rushed. Prioritizing walk-ins over scheduled clients seems greedy; they should be told of a wait to prevent nail techs from rushing. 1 STAR (If I could give 0, I would) WORST NAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE -- STAY FAR AWAY I had the most painful, disappointing, and unprofessional experience at this nail salon. I went in for a pedicure and a full set with manicure. First, the pedicure polish started chipping the very next day -- clearly cheap or improperly applied polish. But unfortunately, that was the least of the problems. To remove my old full set, the nail tech ripped off the acrylics with force -- not only tearing the fake nails off but ripping off part of my real nails and making me BLEED. And instead of stopping or using a proper method like acetone soak, she just kept pulling while I was clearly in pain. When I said, "You made me bleed," her only response was, "Because you said ouch." What kind of response is that? I said "ouch" because she was hurting me -- and she showed zero concern or accountability. Then came the full set. I asked for coffin-shaped nails -- instead I walked out with a mismatched mess. Every nail was a different shape, length, and angle. Some looked like almonds, others like crooked squares. It was like each finger came from a different person. I told her the nails were too short, and she tried to blame me, saying I told her to cut them -- but all I asked was to trim them slightly. She kept filing them down until they were uneven stubs. I paid $160 for this disaster (yes, I know prices are high in Hawaii, but that doesn't justify garbage work). This was the worst nail job I have ever had in my entire life -- painful, sloppy, overpriced, and completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor: avoid this place at all costs. I think ifound my favorite nail place! They really took care of me and my mom. It's been a long long time for my mom and she has them really hard nails -let's just say her nails needs TLC! My feet needed the massage! The only thing is that I know I asked for the deluxe package for me and reg for my moms medi/pedi (she doesn't like gel). And when I paid I was charged 80 versus $60. I've had many services done at Forever Nails and I can confidently say it's not worth the visit. I've gotten a full set done twice and the work was just okay. It lasted maybe a week before the nails themselves actually started to chip and break. I've had full sets fall off because they were outgrown, but never break on me before. Their hot stone pedi was nice, but the vibe was just awkward. She also literally set a timer, like a small, white, physical timer... I've been getting my lashes done for about 10 years now and saw they offer it at a decent price. They came out looking nice and lasted about as long as I'd expect them to before needing a refill. The only issue was it took much longer than usual and it seemed like she was not very experienced. A lot of glue got onto my natural lashes to the point she cut the tips of my lashes, and quite a bit into my eyes. The end result was nice enough. I will never do my brows here agajn. I kept going back to get my brows waxed at Forever Nails because they are close to my job and I could run in on my lunch break. They take walk-ins and are fast, which is great, but there isn't really any consistency. The reason I will never do my brows again is because the last time I ended up getting an infection. My eyebrows were red and inflamed for over a week no matter how many times I washed, iced, or used Neosporin or allergy relief creams. I didn't ask for tint but she used it on my brows to fill it in and make them look fuller. I don't know what chemical or dye she used, but I ended up having a bad, burning, and itchy reaction by the time I got home. By the end of the week, my eyebrows had started to thin out and form a small bald spot. I was really going here for their prices and convenience, but it's not worth the sacrifice. Find beauticians who are willing to invest themselves in their craft by learning new techniques, properly cleaning their equipment, and caring about their customer's wellbeing. I visited the day after Thanksgiving. Great timing! It was only me and one other customer at 9:30am. I went in for a simple pedicure $38 and ended up getting the Supreme Volcano Pedicure $65. Felt like I'd treat my feet before having surgery this upcoming week. Christmas music is playing. Workers were busy preparing for the upcoming morning rush. The manager walked in and everyone paid attention. My technician started out with scolding hot water. Oh my, then she adjusted it. She really spent time on my toes, cuticles and skin area around the toes. A little painful but no pain no cute feet It was truly a 60 minute service including 4 different items for my legs and feet. Only negative is that there was gnat's everywhere. It was very annoying. Tech was just working right through it. For a nail salon as nice as this one, they've gotta address that gnat problem. I needed a full set for my honeymoon and pedi as well. It took 4 hours to complete. First, my usual nail tech was booked so I couldn't schedule with her. I was given the first available for pedi and a different one for the full set. No issue whatsoever for the pedicure. But the full set was a nightmare. I asked for a specific look which was to use my real nails and to use a nail inspo photo I provided for the design. The nail tech did not listen at all and immediately told me that she couldn't do it without nail tips and that it wouldn't look good. So I agreed to the nail tips. This took a little over 3 hours. When she began rushing, she would drill my cuticles. Every time I would tell her to stop, she would either move on to the next or use her sharp nail to push my already bleeding cuticle back. I ended up telling her to stop and find another way to sand my nail down because at this point, I had 5 cuticles that were bleeding. I also had an event to attend so I did not have time to have someone else redo them. These are by far the worse nails I've ever had done. I'm still in a state of shock at how terrible my cuticles look, the spaces in between my nail bed and the added tips, and the lack of attention to detail on the design. I'll end up spending more money fixing them at my honeymoon destination. I will find out her name and update the review. My usual nail tech is Kelly and she's 5 stars. Unfortunately, this particular experience deserves 1 star, if that. I will never recommend this place UNLESS you see Kelly. read more

I had asked for round, short nails. The individual who was doing my nails did not give her name, but to be fair, I am someone who does find it hard to speak up in a nail salon. This was my second visit in a month as I've gone to another salon for years because the shops service declined greatly. My return visit went alright and tried again. She kept ripping my toes apart and even pushed back my pinky toe upwards to the point where I said "Ouch!" She lifted both big toes nails, which is extremely painful.
