Husband had the pho and I had the bun bo hue. For being in the North Dallas area, they were both pretty good options and the broths were savory. The prices are a tad higher, but it makes up for the the gas and time you save driving to Garland. The bun bo hue actually had a good kick to it (surprised since most places mellow out the spiciness due to the demographics). My only disappointment was no pig feet and blood cubes (expected due to demographics). Both dishes had generous meat portions. Since they just opened under new management, they had buy 1 get 1 free bubble teas/smoothies. We got an avocado and strawberry smoothie to share. Both were good and balanced (not too sweet and could taste the avocado/strawberry). The avocado was smooth and buttery like it should be (they didn't skimp on the avocado like most places!). Honestly they are a bit more expensive than most Pho places we've hit in Frisco, McKinney, or Plano. $15 for the lunch combo, which gets you Tots, Egg Rolls, and Pho. You can sub Shrimp Chips for Tots, but they w ere out of Shrimp Chips on our visit for lunch. I know I mention price then mention all the food they give you, however it's kinda an overkill. Especially for lunch. The Pho is decent at best. As we all know the broth is key, and honestly their's isn't very flavorful. I stuck to the Beef Pho, mainly because it was my first time trying this spot. Very little protein, I would recommend asking for more of the Beef mix (meatball, flank, & filet) However that's going to only increase the price. Not worth going out of your way for, and the young lady at the counter lacks any customer service skills. Also like mentioned above in a previous review, the restaurant was not maintained inside as their were no tables cleaned off or bused when we got their. Yet they only had four sets of customers in the entire place. I don't like leaving a poor review after just one visit, but we won't be returning to this spot. My husband and i were craving some pho last minute and we found this pl thanks to Yelp. We came few min before the pl was supposed to close. It took us a bit to go through the menu and decide what to get. The lady behind the counter said its 15 min to close and we could only get take out. I said to her it's our first time here can she make exception for us , there was still many customers there. She physically turned her order screen around and pointed the time again that was 15 min to close. I couldn't believe how she treated us. I felt very disrespected. The Pho here is sooooo good. I'm a vegetarian, so it's hard to find flavorful pho in most places unless you order beef or chicken. The vegetables are big and fresh - broccoli, huge mushrooms, carrots, snap peas - like wow. So filling and just so good. read more

First time customer. Went in in the middle of a Sunday afternoon for a smoothie. There were a few tables of customers so it wasn't busy. For a freaking smoothie we waited for 10 minutes. I eat Forever Pho 2 to 3 times a week and normally would give this place a 4 star hands down. However, the last couple of months, the service has really went down. The beef pho is still fantastic but the service is not. They have become slow, they don't clean the tables, you find more people playing in the back instead of helping those new team members out front who are struggling. I called in my order today and arrived 15 minutes later to an order that wasn't ready, an empty restaurant but a line out the door. I had to leave out and return to pick up my food. Placed a to go order on the phone last night at 6:15pm. Was told it would be 20 minutes. Showed up at 6:35,pm and waited in a long line to talk to the person at the register. He finally found my order written on paper and started putting it into the computer. I asked if they had not started my order yet and was assured they had already been working on it as I watched him type it in to the computer.. I waited a long time watching other people who came in long after me pick up orders. My food was finally ready at 7:20. They seem to be having service issues. Food is still pretty good. My bahn mi was missing the vegetables on top. It only had the carrots. I hope they fix the service because I'm afraid to order to go if I'm on any type of schedule where I can't wait. growing up eating Bun Rieu, who serves it with just tofu and shrimp paste? Came and ordered Bun Bo Hue and the server asked us to replace bun rieu noodles for bun bo hue noodles. ended up getting bun rieu seafood and asked for tofu (traditionally it should come with it!) and they charged us extra. what the hell. $28 for 2 bowls of low quality bun rieu. read more

I travel a lot consider myself a fair judge of restaurants especially Asian, my favorite food. I have this place the lowest rating of any restaurant I ever rated. Service was the worst in a year of eating out, that's being fair. Every table had dirty food plates, they had a mix up on the orders, my food was not out after 45 minutes despite two attempts of getting someone to get our food. This is our go to Pho restaurant in Allen. We have tried various other ones around the metroplex and nothing comes close to this restaurant's flavor in all their dishes. Forever Pho's look is very simple and basic. The inside was clean and their bathrooms were nice as well. If I had to scale the Pho from 1-5 (5 being the greatest) I would rate it a 3. Their broth had flavor but I have had a lot better. I was mostly disappointed by their chicken, it's texture was similar to rubber. Yuck! The chicken they put in their Pho at Tom Thumb is better than Forever Pho's chicken, that was very disappointing. I also tried their Boba Tea, I enjoyed the tea more than my Pho. ***FOR THE MANAGER OF FOREVER PHO****: Upon arrival I ordered 3 pho combos, 2 with shrimp chips and one with tater tots. After ordering the guy at the register just said thank you and didn't give me the drinks for the 3 orders. I asked him kindly for them and he gave me one drink. After clarifying there was 3 he proceeded to give me 2 more. After this they brought out our chips and pho. But failed to bring out the 3 sides of egg rolls. I went to the register to let them know and there was a lady there now who pulled up the receipt as if I was lying. She said it was charged as individual meals not as combos. My total was $50 and some change for 3 individual pho's???? And at the fault of their employee they would not correct this issue when I clearly asked for COMBOS. After calculating the tots had they entered it correctly I could have saved $10 WITH egg rolls. I am extremely disappointed in this place as I have been a long time customer and often come on a weekly basis and have never felt so scammed out of money. Go elsewhere, as a avid pho eater there's plenty of other places in Allen I will be going to instead. I only came here because it's walking distance for me. My wife said she wanted pho for lunch today. I usually go to noodle wave, but decide to give this place a try so I called in the order. I get a call after I drop the food off saying that the meat was raw and on the side with the noodles! I call up there and tell them she didn't like it and I would like to bring it back once I get off work cause I couldn't come back now, they said fine ok. Once I arrive back at the location I was told the owner says the only way you an get your money back is if the food is all there and you hadn't eating any of it. Wow really! This is my absolute favorite pho restaurant to go to it is so good. What I usually get is the chicken pho with eggrolls and a Thai tea with egg-rolls. Their egg-rolls are probably the best I've ever had, they're just so savory and the sauce they give you it just add an extra pow. I wish I would've taken a picture of my food (taken to-go) but I was too hungry and this place did not disappoint! Especially considering I had it as take-out. I rarely take Pho to-go because it's just not as good, but now I know where to order from in the future. The chicken & noodles are put in a disposable bowl for you to eat out of so all you had to do was pour the broth into it. And they included all the needed sides, sauces AND a disposable mini bowl-spoon (I'm sure that's not the proper term, sorry). Extremely disorganized. Like many of the others they repeatedly messed up our order. There were three of us. My lunch came out and a few minutes (minutes)later they brought Pho out for my daughter who didn't order Pho. I'm pretty sure they then started making her lunch and it eventually came out. I ordered pho tai and the person taking my order didn't even know what it was..... when his college (who was vitnemese) asked if he needed any help he was rude to him and proceeded to tell him he didn't need any help when he obviously did.. fast forward we get our food, and our eggrolls were cold.. and our pho tasted like it was reheated, the noodles were soggy, and the meat was done well before it reached me. New owner, food is similar to previous place and consistent. They seem to give a more generous serving of meat in their pho which is hard fo find now a days! My husband is a big guy and gets upset when pho restaurants barely give any meat, but he was very happy with this place! We usually order togo because we live closeby and this will be our goto location for pho. They have your order very quickly when you call it in and everything's perfectly packaged with all the sauces, bean sprouts, utensils, etc. I cant remember if the old owner had boba, but this place now does.
