The whole experience was terrible, I can't find it in my heart to recommend this place to anyone. It's almost impossible to find good service in mid-town and SOHO because everything is so expensive there and you never get what you pay for (you just helped the pricy rent a little bit). Ive came shown the nails I wanted and the nail artist suggested me to get silk wrap, which she wrap three nails and that was extra $25. It was till she recommended and done the silk wrap then she told me "oh but you can't get the length you wanted." Why suggested me something that going to cost more and ain't what I wanted? Then I showed her the designed I wanted, which was simple hearts on my nails. I had people don't that on my nails using the mental tiny ball tool and it was done beautifully but her choose to did it with brush, which came out really blurry. When it was time to apply the top coats, I've mentioned 3 times that I wanted them mattes. 3 times and I still got glossy top coat. Oh, and like my follower Yelp elite mentioned, my get nails chipped and three of the top coat fell off the 2nd. This was not the survive you wanted with $120 price tag. Don't go! I paid the highest $ I've ever paid, but you figure it's NY. My nails started chipping within 1 day. At first I thought it was me then four nails cracked. I've been getting my nails dipped for YEARS. This has never happened. The worst was they asked me to send pics and when I did they blamed me and offered me $20. The woman who did my nails stole $20 tip from me claiming she provided a back massage - which I didn't ask for and told her I didn't want one. Now I must get my nails redone. Not sure what all the 1 star reviews are about but I am sitting under the dryer waiting for my toes to dry as I write this is and I had/am having a very pleasant experience! Everyone was/is so friendly and helpful here! All smiles, very gentle with my feet and did a great job on my pedicure. I also was the last person they took as I came close to closing hours and I didnt feel rushed or like I was inconveniencing them. I went here over NYE and I had a good experience getting tip set, but when I came back to get the same service I had a terrible experience with Kim. First of all she kept pressing down my cuticles and buffing my nails until they bled. The only reason why she stopped was because I said I was bleeding and asked her to stop! She acted so apologetic, but seemed annoyed by the whole thing. Then when she was shaping the nail tips, I kept checking to make sure they were even, and she told me that I was bothering myself.. even though I was paying her to do a good job. Anyways, Kim kept trying to get me to go for gel nail polish and longer tips, even though I was clear I didn't want that. Then she wanted me to pay before painting nails, but I've always paid after. It gets worse... once I pay and give her a couple dollars for a tip, she asks if that's it. Then says whatever. Honestly she should've been lucky I even tipped her at all, after making me bleed, not wanting to make the lengths of my tips even, and on top of that yelling at me to keep my hands still so I don't mess up my nails. The best thing about this manicure: it was SO FAST. I hate when it takes forever so I appreciated the efficiency. Also got a free 1 min back rub. It was a bit too expensive but I still recommend the dip powder because it lasts forever. It's also slightly bumpy but that doesn't bother me much. read more

Felt pressured to add 10 minute massage for $10, when I declined the "complimentary" mini massage abruptly stopped and got a snotty attitude. Had gel manicure and regular pedicure yesterday. My heels look like they haven't been done in months even after I specifically asked to pay extra attention to them as they were very rough due to being barefoot in summer. Little to no trimming of cuticles. The gel manicure wasn't much better - cuticles were barely trimmed. Spent $76 dollars plus a $15 tip for poor quality service that will have to have redone immediately. Won't be back. read more

Pedicure and 10 minute massage with snailz mani app. The girl did not ask if I prefered a chair or foot massage. She gave me a foot massage without a timer. I watched another girl get a pedicure and chair massage. Owner suggested that the customer needs to relay that information in the beginning. I had no clue that was protocol because last time I received a chair massage and did not request it. So make sure you specify which massage otherwise you end up with a lackluster foot massage. I had a good experience the previous times coming here for manicures and pedicures but this just left a sour note. I was looking forward to the back massage and when my pedicure was over the technician stated that she already gave me my foot massage. The nail salon overall is pretty clean and the workers are nice but it just felt really deceiving. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

My heels are super dry. They were rough with cuticles and buffing and when I asked to go slowly and be gentle she said no no I am gentle and proceeded to still be rough. Luckily my toenails are healthy and tough but when they were getting clipped I was so worried she would break skin. I got the pedicure but really wouldn't come here ever again. I was going to do my manicure too, but the pedicure experience made me cut it real short. The price was really high unnecessarily as well.
