Fork and Fire is a place to go!! Many great food items, beer and service. Tatum was our server. She was very busy but was pretty attentive to us. The Maui shrimp appee was great. The Cuban sandwich was great. Didn't like the chicken breast sandwich ... was surprised it was pulled chicken and not a breast and I asked for it plain, nothing on it but Mayo, and it was served with lime oor something on it that I didn't like ... couldn't eat it but others may love?? Lots of things to try on subsequent visits. Unfortunately we have to downgrade our review substantially. Last night they had few tables and we were there for a long time. But not surprised it was not crowded due to food and service. Servers very nice and friendly but need way more training. Drinks sitting at bar for quite awhile as she was walking around aimlessly and casually cleaning off an empty table (one of three as no one was there), totally unaware of guests. Food was awful. Ugly steak was ugly. So over seasoned barely eatable. What happened to the augratin potatoes .. last time pretty good, this time weird flavor. Green bean medley so over spiced, couldn't eat. Tables with bench so uncomfortable, they should consider cushions. Spent $100 on barely mediocre dinner and nice servers but poor service. We won't be back as we can go to Harvest or Michelangelo's for amazing food (and way better menu selections) and good service for same price! read more

Bravo! Finally someone in Arizona knows how to make good bbq! Being from Texas I know what good bbq tastes like and this is awesome. I came once before during their early soft open days and while the food was good then, the service was very much lacking. Happy to say that it seems kinks have been addressed and both the food and service were great. Glad they made it into a sit down/service place as it's nice to go somewhere you don't have to keep getting up and down to enjoy a meal. It is super pricey, but the portions are generous and the food is great. We started with the loaded fries and ate every last French fry. The jackfruit bbq plate was awesome and a great meat alternative. The brisket was so tender and melt in your mouth, and the selection of bbq sauces on the table was a nice touch. My only complaint is the prices - I opted not to get an adult beverage with dinner because of how expensive (like resort prices expensive). Hopefully they can make it through all the hoops OV business face and can stay open, cuz this is a great addition for those of us in upper OV. read more

Fantastic food ! My first try here and I got the pork pulled Mac and cheese.my boyfriend got their slaw dog millionaire. The max and cheese was creamy and the pork was very flavorful. My wifey and I had a great night out and it started with St. Louis ribs from Fork and Fire. From the start exceptional customer service from our server (Hanna). Food was great. Managers milling around talking to patrons. We were very impressed but the attention to the customer by the staff. This place had the 3 core requirements for a good restaurant. We stopped here because we were hungry while passing through Oro Valley. My bacon wrapped crab poppers had to be sent back. Bacon was half raw and and there was no crab flavor at all. My side salad was fresh and good. Hubs said his mac and cheese with smoked brisket was lacking in any type of cheese flavor and all he could taste in the beef was smoke. In other words, it lacked seasoning and was bland. Fortunately, the server was nice enough to take the poppers off our bill. She was apologetic and accommodating and otherwise served us well. After giving them a bit of time to work out the kinks we decided to come back tonight. We got the same meat combo to compare apples to apples. So brisket, pulled pork and sausage. This time we got Mac & Cheese and Mac Salad for sides to try different ones. Both of the sides were really good. The Mac & Cheese is creamy with a good flavor and a hint of smoky to it. I suspect they use a smoked cheese. The Mac Salad was good with a nice creaminess and a nice neutral flavor. Happy to say the briket was better, it was sliced a bit thicker and had better tenderness to it and a great smoke flavor. The pulled pork was about the same, good flavor but a bit to wet for my tastes. The sausage is the same fennel sausage so I got that all to myself which was fine by me as I love a good fennel sausage and this was charred very nicely. Overall if they keep improving I see a bright future for them here. All the other BBQ places are a good 30-40 minute drive for us so having this close is great. read more

The 2 stars is because the food was delicious! We smoke a lot of food at home and are picky eaters- they did a great job with food. Otherwise, drinks were quite strong, and our service was non-existent other than taking our food order and dropping our bill. I understand it is busy though the waitor must have walked by us 7 times without asking how we were. When our plates were done, he asked how everything was. Should I have wanted another drink, unless I had a much bigger chest and hair down to my derrier (as the woman who was served 4 drinks sitting diagonal from us), I not have gotten one for the $70 we spent on dinner. For starters, I enjoyed the burnt ends appetizer. Each bite was tender, well seasoned and the hickory bbq sauce complimented nicely. I originally ordered the ugly steak, but was later informed they didn't have any available, so I changed to the brisket and chicken platter, which came with vegetables, beans and Texas toast. Loved the brisket, but found the chicken to be overly soft as if it were held in fluid awaiting orders, overall underwhelming. The bbq sauce did help the chicken become tolerable. The brisket was also well seasoned, tender and delicious. It didn't need any sauce to enjoy its consumption, but the different sauces available were tried. The beans were a compliment that enhanced my meal which I would recommend others to consider. Not a fan of broccoli, so I don't have a review of it; didn't eat the vegetables, but they did look appealing. Too bad they didn't offer corn on the cob as this goes well with bbq dishes. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall our dining experience was pleasant. Too bad I didn't have room for dessert as I observed the offerings in the display case at the entrance. Friendly staff. Prompt service. We had the deviled eggs, Maui shrimp (omg! Repeat for sure!), ahi tuna salad and full rack of ribs. The ribs were very obviously smoked all day and still had crispy edges. Potato salad was bangin, beans were a heavy green chili flavor and not super sweet which was excellent. GREAT BBQ + SIDES. We catered a dinner for 15 at our Air BNB home and hired Fork & Fire. The brisket had an AMAZING, AUTHENTIC bark and perfect moisture -- the tell tale signs of a pit master who knows what they are doing. The pulled chicken was tasty and juicy--a feat for chicken! They provided bbq sauces (the spicy one was awesome) but we really didn't use them because the meat was so good on its own. The smoked wings were fall off the bone. We could not decide which sides we wanted to order so we ordered some of everything...a great strategy since they were all fab! BBQ beans, Mac and cheese, potato salad, squash, coleslaw, corn bread and dinner rolls. They were all a step up from the best of the classic version. Mac and cheese had buttery bread crumbs, plenty of cheese and bigger noodles to grab on to. The Beans had a delicious and not overpowering sauce and was studded with bacon and tiny red peppers...I normally had bbq beans because I hate bbq sauce but these were so awesome. The coleslaw was crunchy, perfectly seasoned, a nice mix of cabbages and creamy but not drowning in mayo. Potato salad was creamy, perfectly cut potatoes with just the right amount of mayo. The corn bread were small sweet corn muffins with a bit of heat from green chiles at the end. Dinner rolls were classic Parker type rolls. There was plenty of food and we even used the beans and brisket as side dishes to next to the next morning's cheese omelettes. The customer service from James was above and beyond... he helped me craft the perfect menu, was communicative, and delivered on time... taking care to make sure all the food that needed to be chilled was delivered in ice Overall a huge hit and made me look like a hero --especially in front of our family from Texas! First time in the restaurant. The food was delicious, however the service left much to be desired. Our server was young and very inexperienced. Plus the effort just wasn't there. She got our drink order was wrong and our food also was not correct as she seemed to be distracted even though there were not a lot of customers in the restaurant. We also asked for two boxes for our leftovers and she only brought one and then we wound up asking another person for the second box. read more

I have been to the restaurant now a few times every time the food is been very good the prices are right in line with everybody else in the area. The people that are working there I've always been very supportive of their business and very helpful to all of us in our group anytime we've been there. First time trying this establishment out. Our server and the rest of the staff were super friendly, very attentive. In fact, some of the best customer service we've had in a while. Both my husband and I have the pulled pork sandwiches with fries and we also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese to share. all the food was very good. My husband had a flight of beers. Nothing really special. They're pretty much the same kind of beer he could pick up at the grocery store. I had a vodka mule and that was really good. We also took a Keylime pie home since we were so full from dinner. The Keylime pie was really good. May be a little bit too much zest for my liking but it didn't stop me from eating it. Lol. I ordered their BBQ street tacos. They were served well, as described. Pulled pork was so salty that my salt intake was good for at least 2 days! The shock came on the 3rd taco: bone and gristle! The waitress came to retrieve our plates and courteously asked if I wanted to take the partial remains home. No thanks, I said. Bone in the meat. She was shocked as she should have been. I had an appointment and needed to leave prior to the rest of my party, so left my payment in cash. Thankfully, I found out later that I was comped. That was the right thing to do but, FFS, I won't be back. This was an unacceptable item on their menu and they should immediately find out why this happened! read more

We were super excited to eat Fork & Fire's food. We waited and waited and waited. The advertising said that they would be at Button Brew House at 5pm. Yeah, they were there at 5pm, but they weren't ready to serve food till about 45 minutes later. That was a drag. They need to show up at 4:30 and be ready by 5 if they're going to say they were going to be there by 5. You expect that food would be ready to go by then. The food... not good. We ordered the Loaded Tater Tots. Very small portions for $8. They weren't even Tater Tots. They were home fries (square cut potatoes) and the pulled pork that was on top didn't even taste like BBQ. They were pretty bland and didn't even stand out compared to the other flavors on the potatoes. Granted, at a brewery, they filled a spot that was a half hour late, but we really wanted to try them and love them. I know they're new to the food truck scene, but you can't advertise Tater Tots and not even give you Tater Tots. And if you're going to call yourselves a BBQ joint, you'd better taste like BBQ and not just throw some beige pulled pork on stuff. I will say that since you're brand new, we'd love to try you again. Very happy with the service and food! We were here for our anniversary yesterday and there was just so much on the menu we wanted to try. We started off with the pulled pork cheese fries and all I can say is that they are out of this world! I thought the cost was a tad pricey @ $15, but after tasting it, I would buy it again without hesitation. I ordered the "ugly steak" and it too was AMAZING! My spouse got the ugly steak salad and also LOVED it! Wanting to try the burnt ends but leaving no room for more food, we opted to get an order to go and once again we were NOT disappointed.
