5/5! Fork it is the definition of "hole in the wall" as this place is just a window and a cash register on the inside. To-go only. Man was this place so good! The tri tip sandwich with bacon and cheese (Big D) was one of the best tri tip sandwiches I've had in a long time. The tri tip was tender and very juicy as they marinate it for 48 hours! The sandwich and an order (big to-go box) of fries was around $16. Great price for todays standards and for as good as a sandwich it was! Can't wait to go back! If I lived closer I'd definitely be a regular.

Customer service is important. Especially when a business wants to overcharge for mediocre food. Happy eating. ***Original Review*** With all the great reviews, we just had to try this place! We stopped for lunch and spent over $60 after tax and tip for two sandwiches ($17 each) one order of garlic fries ($5) and a pie ($8). I ordered the cowboy for myself and I was starving so I dug right in before remembering to take a photo but the Big D Steak, Garlic fires and mint pie are shown. My husband liked his steak sandwich and said it was 4 stars for sure but our fries were cold and soggy. The pie was ok and so was my burger but if I'm being honest, we did not feel like we got what we paid for. The business itself has a very closed off feel with the confined space and ordering through a window; it's just not welcoming. We would probably not return to this location based on our experience, however I understand that I am in the minority based on all the good reviews here. I'm really glad others are enjoying and supporting this small business and I wish them lots of luck and success.

I've been wanting to come back and try the chicken from here because I can tell that they make it themselves rather than deep frying some pre-cooked frozen wings and passing them off as freshly made wings. Some of these restaurants around here just kill me with the wording that they use, but anyways, I can tell that the food from Fork It is made fresh, especially after ordering food and eating it, it's obviously made by someone who has skills in the kitchen and puts their heart in to making delicious food for us. I really appreciate his passion for selling the best options possible. I wish this was a sit down restaurant, I would come a lot more often. My boyfriend has to eat low sodium, so I can't bring food home that isn't low sodium because as much as he does well eating the kind of food he supposed to eat it's just too tempting when the other food is nearby him and more times than not. He will eat that food as well and then I feel guilty and he's feeling horrible because of them eating the wrong kind of food, so unless I want to eat in my car, it's not that easy to get food from a place like this. I made an exception today and I ordered the wings which come with fries and I asked for ranch dressing on the side which is also homemade ranch dressing or hidden valley, ranch packets, ranch dressing, which to me is homemade and it's the best, I also got a Keylime pie and an Oreo cheesecake. My total was kind of expensive it was about $32 maybe $34 somewhere around there the amount that I was told kind of because I didn't expect it to be that high after realizing I did get desserts , so I know it's not going to be cheap, so I'm OK with it. It just kind of threw me off at first which I guess it shouldn't have, the Keylime pie is to die for, I want to go back and get all of them now but I haven't seen it lately.

The owner is very nice and friendly. The place is little but the pie display is just right. The deserts are homemade and delicious. I can't tell you how yummy the burgers and sandwiches are. I live close by and want to try everything. Just like the desserts the sandwiches and burgers are great quality and delicious. In the store it smell great of bbq grilling. The place looks inviting to all. read more

I stopped en route from Monterey to my brother's and picked up food for the family: tritip sandwiches and homemade pies. The food is absolutely delicious. Bonus points for Chef Ike: my brother has Parkinson's and hasn't had much of an appetite - but he ate 2 helpings of tritip plus pie! He has difficulty swallowing, but said the marinated beef was so tender and succulent it made eating a joy. I'm going back for a visit later this month and will definitely be returning to Fork It - Don't forget to add onion rings and fries, they are also perfectly executed. Although everything's takeout, the tiny service bay is immaculate and well appointed. Good job. read more

The new Best Burger in town has been crowned. The Grilled Onion Burger is flavorful and grown up. It comes with a choice of cheese. This is not your "I might need to order 2 of these" kind of burger. This guy is a meal. You'll be stuffed when you finish. A small counter area. No problem. The service was great, take your food home and enjoy. I can't wait until next time. I definitely will be a regular at this place going forward. I hope they plan on adding Shakes in the future. That would be the cherry on top. Don't hesitate. Your order is ready. read more

I found out about this spot through a friend. Their sandwiches are awesome, I've only tried the tip sandwich, which is tri tip and I highly recommend. I'm gonna try other sandwiches and their burgers are just as good. I did hear they sell out daily so get them while you can. read more

Food was amazing. I've never had a sandwich so filling and fresh. I usually don't like tomatoes on my sandwiches but wow this was amazing. The pies I have to recommend the lemon cheesecake!! Even the plain burger I ordered for my son with just ketchup, pickles, and cheese was one of the best burgers we've had. Garlic fries were on point. Crispy yet soft and you can ACTUALLY taste the garlic. We got 3 sandwiches a burger two orders of fries and 3 pies and it was WELL worth it. We will definitely be back!! The service was great as well friendly staff and even was patient with us while we decided even tho we looked at the menu before hand. 10/10 would recommend if your looking for a delicious filling sandwich or dinner. read more

The two dudes cooking and serving were super cool made u feel good to be spending some money there. We had tri tip sandwiches and a bacon cheeseburger w/ fancy fries add cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection the tri tip didn't need any sauce and the burger was huge and juicy. The fries with the grilled onion remind u of in n out but just better more flavor etc. I will def be becoming a regular. Especially since their prices are so reasonable. read more

Tried this spot out today after hearing how great it was from my dad. First thing. One of the best if not the best customer service experience I've had. Chef explained the menu and gave great recommendations. Front of house staff was great to talk to and made us feel welcome. And that's not even considering that the food exceeds all expectations. We got the Santa Maria tritip and a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and a side of banana bread. We've stopped eating out as often because the food in Stockton never truly hits the spot. This place was it. Everything was incredible and a good amount of food for the price. read more

Yes and yes! The guy at the counter helped us newbies pick out our first try today. The Tip is the business! (Also ordered cheesy bacon tots and fried zucchini.) Everything was fresh and ready in about 10min. Clean lobby. Easy parking. They only have take out option though. Good stuff. We will be back! read more

I found this gem by accident and it was the best gem I found in Stockton. First time was Monday and went back on Wednesday. The spicy Mother Clucked is everything. It's season to perfection and you can customize it. Oh and the cheesecake is so good. The strawberry cheesecake you can taste the butter OMG. read more

Can't believe I just found out about this spot, living less than a mile away. Decided to give it a shot and man was I surprised, the "Diablo Chicken Sandwich" did not disappoint! Just the right amount jalapeños and siracacha sauce making it flavorful and not to Hot. Everything about this sandwich from the soft Genova roll to the grilled onions makes it a 5 star top pick. One of the owners that took my order was very patient and helpful in making my decision on the sandwich I ordered. Looking forward to my next visit and try some of the other items in the menu. Definitely bringing a friend in my next visit. read more

I just discovered this tiny place. It is very small, and very clean. We went for the tri tip sandwiches and fries. The tri tip sandwiches are on another level. They are the best around. Top quality long marinated beef piled high. Tender juicy beef with wonderful flavor. The owner was clean, and polite. You can tell he is organized, and he and his employees pay close attention to details. Perfect score! Good work! read more

Omg, love this place!!! We were first timers here so the owner came out went over the menu, their sides and deserts made daily. He let us sample the tri tip, so tasty and tender. The son let us sample the lemonade, perfect amount of sugar, it hit the spot!!! Then to finish off we had the made fresh daily strawberry cheesecake, yummmmy . We ended up getting the 12 inch tri tip and cheesesteak sandwiches with fries. We were so full off just one half we had the other half for lunch the next day, and they were just as good the next day. We are definitely going back and fully recommend you try Fork It, you won't be disappointed. They also have a secret menu seen on instagram and specials, that day was fish and chips. read more

Wow. That's all I can say, if you haven't been here...GO! The customer service was out standing and the food was great. If you like tri-tip, this was fantastic. I got the Santa Maria tri tip and it was amazing, fries and their special sauce was also great. Both of the guys working were super kind and even threw in a pie for us to try. That just shows how much they care about their business. Keep it up guys. We don't live in Stockton but next time we are we are coming back. read more

I wish I took photos of the food and dessert but me and my family devoured it haha. I ordered a burger with swiss cheese and mushrooms on a genova bakery roll, and a bunch of pies. The ranch was so good and i'm picky with my ranch. The burger was cooked perfectly, great flavor and just super fresh. I only got to try the lemon custard pie and the coconut pie both were 10/10 I gifted some pies to my neighbors and family and everyone scraped the tin clean. We'll be adding this place to our list of rotations we eat at when we don't feel like making dinner. What a treat. read more

There's a line of metal poles lined around the inside windows that looks like it's meant to hold an L shaped counter- but no counter. There was sauce and crumbs on tables and chairs. Way more effort should be put into their customer service and the dining room atmosphere. Finally, the price! $40 for two combos at a fast food restaurant is insane. We liked the burgers well enough that we will probably come back but with these prices it won't be more than 1 or 2 times per year. Chilis and Applebees both have decent burgers for half the price and they have cocktails and actual Servers who smile and act like they like their jobs.

I tried the smoked tri-tip sandwich called "The Diablo" and it was amazing. The tri-tip was thinly sliced, super flavorful, and you could really taste the smoky flavor throughout the meat.
